Hi, Nelson, nice video. Some people seem to have noticed that the biggest upgrade to the Skydio 2+ is actually the becon+ itself, not the drone itself. Wonder if you could do a range tracking test in mixed woods with the original skydio 2 and the beacon vs the skydio 2 and the beacon +? Cheers.
Thanks for the honest comparison. I've been itching to upgrade from my S2 to S2+, especially since I fly a lot manually with the controller and never seem to have enough range. Would love to get your feedback on manual range with the controller comparing the S2 and S2+.
Thanks. I didn't upgrade to the +. I think it would be more interesting to me to range test in the woods, but I have serious range problems with the Skydio2.
Thank you Nelson. 2 beacons running so close together they must have different GPS signal frequencies to work independently, wounder if when you are passing people with GPS devices close to you on the trail, when the skydio is probably switching from visual tracking to GPS with the confusion of the other people around "who to track" situation, probably the GPS bandwidth is congested with local devices to get a beacon fix I am no expert just a thought.
Good day Nelson, Very interesting video . I am presently in learning mode with the 2 + . As you suggested me I bought the sport kit without filters and controller. Here in Quebec it’s winter very different flying experience than yours especially when is -5c freezing fingers can be very painful. I tried my IPad Pro the big one and strangely it’s working pretty good. My chalenge is dealing with space cause video size are quite large what is your way to handle large size data ? I understand I will not keep every 25 minutes of video but I would like to save some for further use I see at Costco A SanDisk Extreme - SSD portable 1To is this a good solution?

@@MR-AK if you don’t have the Skydio 2 then go for the 2+, however if you have the original then I’d say not really unless you fly a lot in high interference environments.

Just why? The difference isn’t in the tracking. It’s the battery life and distance from the user. Neither were tested in this video.

Yep it works just fine. Didn’t really notice any difference to be honest.
