    Thanks for the video, Nelson! So cool that you can re-load a keyframe. Hopefully Skydio will continue to expand on it. I would love to save multiple and get seasonal footage for example or return back to various locations when the conditions are better.

    Thank you Nelson! Not sure what exactly sure what the "free look" does. But, I'll ne giving this all a try as soon as I am able to get the new app (no notification received yet). I also ordered the 2+ to get the added range and, hopefully, decreased control signal latency. Be well.

    • @nelsonbustamante8756

      The free look will let you fly the key frames you set while allowing you to adjust your gimbal and drone yaw. Really good one. I don’t think I’m getting the s2+.:)

      @@nelsonbustamante8756 OK Thanks for the explanation. I have been setting the yaw and gimbal adjustment in "cable" mode. So this will permit multiple station setups. I suspect this will make the Skydio platform the preferred option for stuff like real estate, site specific content, etc. With practice and thought - a very powerful addition to the Skydio platform.

    Something else I noticed just this evening while flying during sunset is that I felt like the Skydio 2 would not move forward towards the sun. I realize that some of obstacle avoidance sensors on some drones react to the sun at low angle but I haven't had that happen with the Skydio 2 until now. It just would not move forward. However, when I moved backward toward the sun it would move just fine as well as when I activated RTL which turned the drone around and flew it backward. I have not tried to change the return behavior to turn the camera to the RTL point. How does your Skydio 2 behave in the low sunlight like at sunset?

    How did you get Keyframe available on the Skydio 2? I don't see the option. I have a Galaxy S21. I do not see the option for Keyframe. I checked the Google Play store and it says the app is not ready for an update. It only has the option to OPEN it. It states the app was last updated on October 8, 2021. The app is version 10.15.5. I have no Keyframe.

      Just update your app firmware. If you don’t see on IOS delete and re install. For android I’m not sure what’s going on. Some people say they have and others dont.

    I would enjoy you in the field under the battery time constraints setting up a keyframe shot step by step, and editing it in the field by adding/deleting some keyframes to capture the shot perfectly then executing it then showing the shot after without any film editing.

    Hi can you save/pre program the the key frames for a later date as my daughter has a weeding day coming up and l would like to spend time beforehand on location setting it all up for the big day. Thanks Dave UK

    • @nelsonbustamante8756
      @nelsonbustamante8756  Před 2 lety

      Currently it automatically saves the key frame. And then it also disappears on its own. I guess you could if you go there say an hour or two before the wedding and then load it afterwards. Skydio is working on it though so hopefully we’ll have more control as far as saving and pre programming later. Congratulations on your daughter’s wedding btw.

    Thanks for the video. Still haven't got the app update and cannot test this. But I am wondering how the drone acts in regards of panning and gimbal adjustment between frames. If the drone points east with gimbal pointing downwards on key-frame 1, and points west with gimbal point upwards on frame 2 - will the drone start making the direction changes between the frames, or wait until the second is reached?

    • @nelsonbustamante8756
      @nelsonbustamante8756  Před 2 lety +5

      It will make the adjustment automatically and the distance for each key points will determine how smooth it will do it. Short distance and it will be abrupt.
      The better option would be to use free look and you control the camera movement while the drone travels to it flight line.

    What sets the path between keyframes? Is it a straight line or the path that you fly when setting them up?

    • @nelsonbustamante8756
      @nelsonbustamante8756  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s just a straight line. You can choose between recorded which uses the way you flew to that spot or free which gives you the ability to changethe camera angle and orientation as you fly to the different key frame.
