I am so sorry I can't stand that song. Different isn't always good. The instrumentation is bad. Her voice is non existent tbh. Happy for Ireland to maybe reach the final because of being different but it's nothing I wanna listen too and sadly I don't want to watch the performance too. There is something disturbing about it...I am not scared it's really just disturbing.

Eurosong at the Late Late Show has one of the smallest, least flashy stages of any national final, so I'm really excited to see this get the full treatment at Malmo, especially if RTE gives Bambie and their team a wide range of creative control. I think it's gonna be epic. Semifinals are televote only this year, so even though there'll be lots of people might no really like the song, for those who do, this is a performance that people will jump to passionately vote for over some of the safer options.

I think its a tough call and tomorrow could be a huge deciding factor on irelands qualification chances. They definetley need the uk and preferably not Lithuania or poland (israel and maybe iceland too) so the uk has noone else to give 12 votes to, then outside of the top 20 for the final.
@escziva_bambiedefender I'm 2 out of the 3 (gay and harry potter fan) and I will definitely not vote for it. This song is so specific that qualifying will be difficult. It's a you love or hate it song.
@@ricooric2580 You can love it. You can hate it. But you can't ignore it! Being polarising is a good thing in a 100% televote competition, the people who love it *will* vote for it, the people who hate it probably weren't gonna vote for another bland, middle-of-the-road, inoffensive pop song/ballad either.
It may not qualify (although I think it will) but it has people talking positively about Ireland in Eurovision for the first time in years.

Ireland took a risk this year and it PAID OFF!!! No longer are Ireland sending genric AF boy bands! The crowd seemed revitalised at Eurosong and everyone even the in studio panel were wowed! Ireland has upped it's game! The song won't be everyone's cup of tea...but that's the point! People who hate it won't be able to vote it down whereas us lot that love it will champion it and SEEK TO DESTROY the competition! My first place! Bambie's live vocals, dancing and stage presence is second to none! The staging is also great for a small studio!

I wouldn’t usually listen to this type of music, but I can’t wait to watch/experience it on a huge stage with a huge budget. Yes it is polarizing, but nobody can vote against it and it will have many fans! Look at Ireland bringing something unique - unexpected but cool.

I went into Eurosong preparing to root for "Go Tobhann," but this captivated me immediately and I kinda found myself rooting for it instead. And sure enough! I'm a New Yorker but I love Irish pop culture and history and am always rooting for them to do well at Eurovision. This is absolutely their best entry since I started following Eurovision and I hope this gets them at least back to the top ten!

"Doomsday Blue" as a composition already delivers everything a lover of dark, enigmatic and slightly progressive music could ever dream of: The fusion of mesmerizing genres that originally shouldn't fit together but create a perfect mélange in these three minutes of the most beautiful fever dream, screams that are piercing marrow and bone, clean vocals that will haunt me at day and night even decades after Eurovision 2024, pulsating electronica that almost sound like they're emerging from a demonic realm, and a grand finale smashing the earth with heaviness and high energy!🖤✨️

I'm happy for Ireland that they finally picked Something Different. But I just do not like this song/performance, and I can't explain why. I feel like this is just one of those song that would give you a headache or kick a pre-existing headache all the way up to a full-blown migraine attack.

this can be like a Telemoveis situation - direct competition with Hatari and Kate Miller-Heidke relegated Conan Osiris to a mere curiousity and people/juries were more puzzled than willing to vote for it.
I think this is interesting and artistic - but I would not listen to this song and would therefore not be compelled to vote for it.
This is not dissimilar to how I felt about Spain last year - and that song was executed to perfection - so I could potentially see the public treating this similarly.
I hope they will do a bit of a revamp and maybe put the soft parts a bit more on display… because for now I fear this is just too dissonant for your average viewer. And me.
I'm still not sure how I feel about this. I mean I don't love the song ... but I love that Ireland stepped up with something different.
It's the kind of thing that needs the visual of the performance though, so you can be mesmerised by the theatre of Bambie Thug rather than just listen to it as audio.

Marmite songs get votes! Because those who love it vote for it. It'll be their favourite. As opposed to a song that eveeyone kind of likes that tjey dont vote for because it's their 4th or 5th favourite. You can't vote against a song.
