This is the fifth video of 37 in a series in which I'll react to the songs of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. Sundays-Thursdays from March 17th through May 6th.
You're obviously not a black metal and/or folk fan. Because as a one, I'm in love with this combo of celtic motives, soft melodic chorus and thrashy screaming. Never thought such a combo could be possible, but it's perfect, really.
Is this being a piece of theatre a bad thing? Can you explain to me how this is not a song? It is text set to music or sung which is the definition of a song. It doesn’t matter what form it comes in . Perhaps you mean to say you don’t like this genre of song which is fair enough. You say it’s ridiculous but how? Like ridiculous can be conceived by some people as great! Stupid Eurovision fans will vote for this. Like people are entitled to their opinion. It doesn’t make them stupid. We all like different things. I like this song. Does that make me stupid? I think you should be a bit more respectful when expressing your opinions.
I understand you find this song EXTREMELY bad. It’s ok to dislike the song however having more reasoning and less disrespect in your comments with regard to disliking the song would both help us better understand your thinking and help make for better viewership. For instance instead of just saying ‘this is not a song’. explain why’. Instead of saying she sounds young. (It’s They/them by the way) ☺️. Tell us what they could improve on for May or what exactly makes them sound young. The comment about 4 year old kids. Obviously you haven’t heard much contemporary music. 😂 As someone who did a little bit of contemporary composition a bit in college I can tell you a lot of work goes into these sections. Again some better reasoning would be good. For instance the crunchy sort of sound to me is a great juxtaposition to the next session. If it didn’t have this the next part wouldn’t have the same effect. Also the as you say 4 year school children section also has to somewhat harmonically and rhythmically fit into the song which I don’t think 4 year old children would be able to do in their second music class. You say it’s bad even in its own style. How? Explain? It’s own style and she calls it ouija-pop by the way. Hope you are enjoying the other songs this year. I think Croatia is my favourite so far. 😁
@@yairmohr You're such a sad person to be honest... You literally hated on EVERY single song from Eurovision without an acceptable reason... and that's why you have a lot of videos but only 500 subscritors.
I don't only like mainstream pop. I listen to some other styles as well (from classic/opera, in which I'm even on the Kickstarter producer lists of 2 albums, to folk-metal/mideval-metal, like Faun and Eluveitie). I accept many music styles - but not every song in a different style is good, even in the context of its own style. This is the case here.
@@yairmohr Completely missing the entire point of the performance... its a song contest not everything has to be so basic and mainstream I hate metal songs and this is so creative.
@@yairmohr So, a car alarm is a song to you? Because that does not sound like this. Or a baby crying. Or a door being slammed. By your definition something that does not sound like this is a song. Giving a definition means outlining the parameters of what a term means.
Is a song words and music or is a song a story with music, Bambi wrote the song she's trained in music and is a trained ballet dancer, and its a stage show contest now, oh and whats the son's about the story part maybe you can get over your hate and figure that part out, maybe you can supply them with one of your song's seen as you don't mind running down other peoples work.
Another contradictory reply that actually reads "This song is actually good, it's bad because that's what the audience seeks and please help us find better writers!"
@@yairmohr She wrote the song , What musicial training do you have to say anything about an artists work , Ireland has some of the best song writers in the world so I doubt we would be asking anyone for help n finding any the sooner people understand that RTE tv are broke and are trying to save money the last thing they need is to host a big contest that cost's millions, thats why the songs for years has been put in, I'm sure there are better songs out of the 500 enteries this year but these 6 were picked by RTE no one knows who picked them or what the other 494 songs are like.
Your opinion's entirely valid, a lot of people do hate on this song - a lot of people love it as well! Which is interesting. What Ireland needs at this point is that love/hate divide. Sure, it would be better if everyone would like the Irish song, but Ireland has been so bland for so long, it needs to stand out. The one interesting thing I'll say about this song is that it wasn't written for Eurovision, or with Eurovision in mind. It was released on an album in like September or something, and then Bambie just decided to apply. Bambie has several songs that align with their artistic vision including "Egregore" and "Tsunami (11.11)", which have a more mainstream rock/techno feel to them. I don't know if they'll be up your alley, but just so you are aware! Best of luck to you.
Thank you for that reply. I just listed to both other songs. Tsunami is even worse than Doomsday Blue. It's just two notes back and forth. Engorge, on the other hand, is something I can call a song even if I don't like it. As for Ireland in Eurovision, some of these "bland" songs were actually really good. The one that really stood out was Leslie Roy with Maps. One of the most fun songs in history, and one of the most unique, captivating performances in recent memory.
This is the second video of yours that I've seen, and you seem incredibly rude and disrespectful. You seem more interested in getting your voice out there than whether people actually watch, so I guess it doesn't matter. You seem only interested in your own ignorant opinions.

The song is mega, class class class

He is an absolute hypocrite does not know a thing about music by his own logic all music must be mainstream be upbeat and follow the same boring tone.
You have no taste. We are all getting sick of the same old muck every year. Ireland 1st ❤
Bambie 💙 Ireland 🇮🇪💙 you are class 💯
No its a masterpiece! ❤🇮🇪
Dia dhuit as Éireann 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪 Hello from Ireland. I’m actually so excited to see Bambi Thug in Malmö. To me this is amazing Go néirí leat Bambi 💚🖤💚
Who are you to be able to define what a song is 😂
I love it and think may win the whole thing

I want to think even in its own style this is not a good representation, because it sounds EXTREMELY bad regardless of style.

Mate you need to stop watching Eurovision and continue to listening to the radio summer hit songs lol, that will suit you more.
I HATE radio summer hits!!!
It’s a winner
God, I hope it's not!
I guess you rather have the stars then the moon 😊

It seems if it's not the basic mainstream pop song, then it's not a song to you. You need to accept there are more music styles.

@@Mgaffo222 that's NOT what I said. I said even within it's own genre this is probably not even a second class track.
Define song.
Something that does NOT sound like this.

"This is not a song" - during the most melodic and mellow part of the entire performance (3.50).
bambiethug calls themselves them/they as they are non binary. the music video is alot better 3
If I had known that earlier... I would still think exactly the same. A crappy song is a crappy song, no matter what the artist's pronouns are.
