Parizaad is a great example that our country can create content for huge platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO. The show was entirely different from your typical Pakistani shows based on domestic violence, weak women or misogynistic men.
Ahmed Ali Akbar brought life to the character, his body language, nuanced grounded to life performance was a treat to watch.
Also the highlight on Urdu language was a beautiful addition to the show. Shehzad Kashmiri deserves as much as praise as he can get for Parizaad as he can get.

here is how I rationalized Annie's change in appearance: we're forgetting she GOT HER EYESIGHT BACK. Clearly now she has a different sense of dressing and doing her hair/makeup than when she was blind. She couldn't have done her hair much while being blind. So in my eyes, while she does look a bit different; she is just embracing her eyesight now and excited to dress differently.

Right! Also, now she can see, she has become more confident. She can see how people are around her, how they look at her.. that's why we can understand that change in demeanor. When she was blind, she was not much confident.

Parizaad ended sensibly with good messages. One can live without love but not without a purpose in life. Hashim Nadeem summed up both parizaad and KAM3 through this message. (Exactly, Why Parizad lived and Feedi and Mahi died). 😜 Thank HN for giving us Parizaad. The drama would go down in history as a classic. Ahmad Ali Akbar’s performance would serve as an institution of acting for the generations of learning actors. It was one drama that touched the zenith of excellence in terms of story, direction, acting, apart from being popular among everyone. Even those who do not watch Pakistani dramas, couldn’t help watching it. Standing ovation to the writer, Hashim Nadeem, the director and actors, specially AAA. 👏👏👏

Just like every other tragic end... Take example of Mere Pas Tum Ho, Pyaray Afzal.. Or let it be Romeo and Juliet.
Although I love the fact that they changed the end for us, viewers, plus they a good thing is they didn't drag the drama... As they did with Ishq Zahe Naseeb, a great drama if HN yet destroyed because of poor direction and unnecessary stretch for TRPs and views

I think the scene in Parizaad in which Annie touches his face with her eyes closed, has got to be one the best love scenes ever. It spoke volumes. And the director was right in keeping this end, very realistic that Parizad and Annie would take some time to take their relationship forward. That life needs a purpose apart from love was so beautifully emphasized.

This is how I saw the ending
1 Changed Dressing Sense :- I have low eyesight so I can relate to her completely . When i am in public eye or even with my parents i try to do things as perfectly as I can , so that I can be counted as " normal ", i try to do things on my own so that I can be called "independent" . In the character of Anni i saw all this. She tried be *perfect* , her priorities was to cherish the things which she can not see . Looking good used to give her a sense of confidence , acceptability , motive above all it gave her chance to have control on her personality . Like Parizad she also scaled her personality with her outer appearance . But when she got her eye sight back , her whole priorities changed , she was desparately looking for Parizad ,. She suddenly came out from her little fairytale world and started dealing with real issues . Her center of concern changed . So did her personality n eventually her looks . Beside that a simple thing is that u can't show a character wearing same kind of dresses after going through the series of drastic changes .
Second thing : *They didn't hug* I think that was absolutely fine because , they became "friends" they gave each other time to grow , they gave each other their faith , their understanding met at that point of time . If we see the entire journey there was only Parizaad's fear of falling in love , he never really understood what he was going through . He simply felt the pain n pleasure of being with somebody which he had felt three time before Anni . On the otherhandside Annie's love never gave space to Parizad to agree or to feel the same . Even Parizaad felt what Annie said not more than that . When they were standing on the top of that mountain it was basically the beginning of their real journey with all acceptance , here even Parizaad was very clear about his insecurities , his thoughts about love , life n Annie so was Annie . Hence , that mountain gave chance to them to grow again embracing each other's insecurities , dreams and personalities by letting them grow slowly n naturally .
3 Parizad's meaning of personality : Parizad could never differentiate his persona . His childhood introduction was given to us by introducing us to his dark complexion which later on gaves him a " name" , a name that never was just a name . It functioned as a constitutional n integral part of his childhood n personality . We all know that childhood traumas do not let us live fully .Same happened to him from the first episode to last episode we can trace those nuances where his personality actually does't change . Only changes in his personality we see was where he accepted his name " mujhe apne naam ki thi khoobi psnd h ki jo ese ek baar sun le bo bhoolta nhi " n second when he accepted his skin tone by saying I want to live n die with this personality here again he mentioned " personality" not omplexion . When the basics of his personality got lost it made him question his real self . He started listening to other people's idea of success n ultimately personality. After coming to those mountains he found himself comfortable more than anywhere else . Here for the first time he was able to distinguish between the inner n outter personality of his . But still it needed an acceptance , which Annie gave to him at the end of drama . So his complexion played a huge role .
Finally the loveliest part was Parizad's story actually ended where it began just like any other common man. Their meeting is not the conclusion of the story it's just a rest . Still many celebrities , morning , stories of love , lost failure victory , hate or nothingness are still going on around him . He is not the centre of the entire world , someone bigger than him is the driving force of his own life . So this makes Parizad stand out in my opinion..

I'm so happy they modified Parizaad drama's ending from the original novel. Parizaad, despite his complexes, insecurities, heartbreaks, found a purpose in life. Annie also found a fulfilling career. Neither of them destroyed or depressed themselves with sorrow of separation like the original ending. No heartbreak or separation is worth not utilizing the gift that is life. I'm glad they didn't show a cheesy marriage scene either and left it open ended. It takes time to outgrow of insecurities and fears ingrained in one's mindset for decades, it would take time for anyone like Parizaad too.

should have stayed with the original ending as presented in the novel, Parizaad. The build up of character, feelings and events got disturbed by the imposed climax. Why should the writer follow the whims of his/her audience? Should stay loyal to his/her creation.

He becomes weaker and sick with time. One day, when he's extremely sick, a girl with dark spectacles comes to seek Parizaad's dua for someone she is searching for. It's Ainee. She recognizes him by touch and her cousin confronts him about everything. Turns out Ainee had refused to see even after surgery and continued to wear dark spectacles after parizaad left her. @@sohailajaved3278 I think the original was way too tragic and there was no redemption for Parizaad. It was great as a piece of literature. But it was a hopeless, tragic ending. The drama was reaching to a lot more people, who may relate with the character in their own ways. Making a positive, hopeful, bright ending where having a purpose in life and doing good for society is highlighted and where Parizaad is appreciated by everyone for his good deeds gives an actual message to audience that being a good human, doing good deeds, having a purpose in life will someday gain you recognition and appreciation and there is always someone out there who'll see your pure heart and soul. The ending gives us hope that Parizaad will eventually grow out of his insecurities too and emerge confident, self sufficient and it is possible for anyone who has been bullied or suffered coz of looks like him.

So Parizaad comes to an end. But not before leaving us mesmerized from the first episode to the last, taking us on an emotional roller coaster every Tuesday evening, teaching us lessons that never previously came to the forefront of our conscience, dealing progressively with so many unspoken social issues, rekindling in us the love for our poetic language Urdu, showing us the magnificence of rural, untouched Nothern Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, revisiting some of our charming and quaint railway stations from colonial times that just added to the romance..…all this through beautiful writing, scintillating story-telling, creative and sensitive direction, breathtaking cinematography and equally beautiful frames 🙌🏻….and the acting!! Every single character needs to be lauded for their powerful roles….but most of all, the absolutely brilliant Ahmed Ali Akbar and the adorable Yumna Zaidi! Their chemistry has come full circle since ‘Yeh Raha Dil’, and their performances touched new heights in Parizaad. Even in complete silence, their eyes, facial expressions and body language conveyed emotions that were real, moving, layered and nuanced. We’ve seen Ahmed in Tajdeed e Wafa, Yeh Raha Dil, Laal Kabootar and Ehd e Wafa….but as Parizaad he took on a role that not too many top notch actors would have had the courage to do….and how!! Even with his ‘unattractive’ demeanour and personality, he stole our hearts, took over our senses, all the while proving that he has the screen presence of an academy award actor.
Bravo to the entire team of Parizaad. A masterpiece of a production. Although the Pakistani drama industry (and music) is appreciated the world over with Urdu/Hindi speaking audiences, this serial will always be remembered as being in a class of its own. Tuesday evenings will never be the same again.😢❤️

I'll be honest, as someone who lived in the US, i was lowkey ready to fly all the way to Pakistani to watch Parizaad in cinemas, because I love it so much. Pakistan doesn't really have any films coming out so I think it's fine. We need to keep the cinemas open in Pakistan and this is one way to do it. Random but I just realized Parizaad changes his name to Ahmed, the same name as the actor loll. I hope thts intentional because AAA has completely owned this character.
In regards to Annie's change, it is believable, first she got her eyesight back and dresses differently now that she can see colors, also she was heartbroken by parizaad, the same thing parizaad had gone thru becoming a different person with each heartbeak the same way Annie's starry eyed view of love was also broken the second Parizaad wasn't in front of her after the surgery. That's understandable, after heartbreak you become more stronger and that innocence you once had is gone. That's why her voice is more commanding as well because that heartbreak from Parizaad took a toll on her. I do agree that I wish Parizaad and Annie at least held hands in the end. When Annie was leaving for the US and Parizaad held her hands while she was crying, I rewinded that scene again and again because it was so romantic and pure. I was hoping for a similar scene in the end, especially with the snowy view in the back, but Ahmed Ali Akbar and Yumna's eyes also showed the characters' love for each other. Either way, this drama will be a classic remembered forever.

Parizaad: The ending justified it all. So glad the reunion between Pari & Annie was subdued, nuanced & without any unnecessary drama. Pari was in full character as his self-effacing self right till the end even when Annie admits she reciprocates his feelings. Proud that Annie took the initiative and didn't readily give up on something she believed had immense potential and showed genuine promise. The backdrop against which the events unfolded added to the charm, the understated bonding. Happy that Pari can get to keep this friendship amidst so many he lost. The bravery shown in Parizaad for touching upon so many subjects is commendable.
I personally feel that even though Parizaad still loves Annie, he is now hesitant in being with her because he has realized what his desperation to get his love can do to him. It brought out his dark side. He lost his love thrice previously but then it was less of his choice and more of his helplessness. Now that he was not helpless, his first impulse was to snatch his love by hook or crook. His realization of his folly and the fact that he was turning into another Agha Behroze was a stronger reason for him to leave not his fear of rejection from Annie. When Annie touched him, the scared hesitation on his face was his fear of being prone to getting all those dark feelings again.

  • @zahrasalah
    @zahrasalah Před 2 lety +92

I believe the evolution of Annie as a mature young lady has to do with the fact that she got heart broken when Parizaad abandoned her as she had confessed to him before leaving for the surgery, this can explain the change in her personality and hence dressing, but as she was a pure soul and her love for Parizaad was not based on looks she maintained that soul within...
I disagree that the last scene was Yumna's finest performance, i would say it was one on her best, as she has proven and outdone herself in every genre of drama either be it serious, romance, thriller or even comedy over and over again..no one in the drama industry has the same baggage of diverse work as she does PERIOD.
That is why she is the director's choice for the majority of her roles.

      @samattt5273 Před 2 lety +8

(Excuse my grammar..I'm listening to the review at the same time) Finally..someone said it....this mature Annie we saw was a result of her finally experiencing the true colours of society through sight. Along with the heart break of Parizaad not fulfilling her wish to at least be the first person she sees after regaining her sight, the many months of her and sharjeel not being able to find him and her questions and feelings about parizaad remaining unreceived ...all these have took away the beaming and unfiltered Annie she once was. Also, regaining a whole new sense (sight) really brings in confidence...she's finally a complete human. I really appreciate how yumna portrayed this change through FLUENT DIALOGUE DELIVERY (blind Annie didn't speak that fluently, but her reactions and emotions in her delivery were spontaneous since she was reacting to what she was hearing and off course, when someone whom she deeply admires is right there, then off course, she'll have her ways to seeking that person's attention) and SKIN TEXTURE (not sure if many people went that close...but I did)
I honestly, feel that blind Annie must have gone through insecurities of being blind like how Parizaad currently feels insecure about his appearance BUT she did say in one of her shows that she went through a very tough time but she found ''home'' in Parizaad's poetry (along those lines)) ..AND with the support of her mother and cousin (evident in her track), she went all out to compete with the world (doing things she was passionate about and in the same way in showing her open admiration and love towards Parizaad) with assurance that her close ones have her back , thus, she didn't care about what others thought of her (also ...she can't see others judging..if they did..).
Overall, I do feel that Annie and Parizaad's track could've been better treated by the director (I honestly liked its build up in the novel) but I'm glad that the ending shown in the drama serial solidified their track..and this lead me to this introspection on my favourite track of the novel. Off course, this drama is on Parizaad's journey so the audience are more invested in him and his transitions (also these transitions are shown clearly throughout the drama thanks to brilliant storytelling and AAA's exceptional performance) but Annie like all the other supporting characters is complex character too...I admit.. whilst following the drama, I was mainly concerned about yumna's dialogue delivery whilst performing blind Annie but after seeing the end and that obvious change in Annie's demeanour ..I see what her and the director were attempting to indirectly show in her character and I believe through that Annie's character wasn't one dimensional as many may see her to be.
Once again...apologies for the terrible grammar...too lazy to proof read :/

Even in a drama like Ehd e Wafa, I believe AAA and Wahaaj Ali deserved to be front and center as opposed to the other two leads, who were good, but not as good…I’m so glad that both of these men are getting the recognition that they deserve…

Idk why Annie's new appearance even a question. It was shown before in the series that she matches her bangles through voice recognition, in short, interestingly styled herself even then without seeing herself. Now she can see herself, so of course she'll want to style herself in a better and different way.

My understanding is that Parizaad thought Annie loved him but once she will see him she won't be in love with him anymore. She might still stay with him but that will be due to his favor towards Annie. He thinks he is so below average that Annie or anyone cannot love him. I think the ending couldn't be better. He found a companion, a true friend, someone that loves his personality, his words, a love that is too deep that is beyond what is external. It was beyond physical so holding hands, hugging didn't really mean much.I actually loved that they didn't hug or anything. Do you remember Dhoop Kinaray the way Dr.Ahmer stopped Zoya in the last scene is iconic. Few words, lots of emotions with little or no physical contact has a much more and powerful impression. Ending at that poetry, their facial expressions was just wow!
As far as pics are concerned. Umaira Ahmed is such a famous writer in Pak. Some of the best plays are written by her. I have never seen her pic. If you google it you can't find a single pic of her to till date I don't know how she looks like.
I agree - Last episode should have been telecast on TV. TV audience made Parizaad so popular and then you would release the last episode on cinema that was unfair. May be it should have been released the same day at both cinema and TV.

Dobara: Honetsly, with each passing episode, I'm falling more and more in love with Mahir and Mehru.
The two sequences they had, the movie one and the moon watching one, were so cute, specially the moon watching one. Loved them both! And, I think now Mahir is starting to like Mehru, as he even rejected the credit cards given by her, whereas she has made herself aware that this all might be happening because he wants money, and she's okay with it because Mehru's actually happy and wants the companionship. Also, thank god for the friend, Nayyara. Loved the fact that she's still defending her friend in front of her husband jiski soch us hi ki tarah puraani hai, and encourages Mehru to trust Mahir and even fall for him. And the scene she had with phoppo was one of the funniest and sassiest moments that the drama has shown. The way phoppo got intimidated but didn't want to show it was visible and hillarious. And now that Mahir is in Zameer's place, he will show Zameer his place. The only character I felt bad for was Ibtisam. Itni jaldi nahi jaana chahiye tha, he should've stayed for two or three more episodes. And yes, everyone watching wants Mahir and Mehru to workout, and hoping that in the end dono ko pyaar ho jaaye!
Ab dekhna yeh hai ki Affan kya ukhaar pata hai Mehru aur Mahir ka (I'm sure that woh kuch nahi kar payega).
    Excited for next week.
P.S: Mehru in the teaser said ki use Mahir pe yaqeen nahi hai, not that she knows uski asliyat.

The bit about the hand holding and hugging actually cheapened the review for me. It would’ve been completely out of character for Parizad and Annie to touch each other. Annie touching him for the statue was only because she was blind. It wasn’t out of desire to just touch the man. That entire conversation in the last 20 minutes explains exactly why they wouldn’t hug it out. Also there are so many industrialists in the world who are not in the limelight so it’s not strange to not be able to find photos of a business man online. Also most people who feel insecure over their complexion would never straight up come out and say that they feel inferior cause of the colour (if they could do so, they wouldn’t have complexes now would they?). People use other reasons to justify their despair. The word pari is always associated with beauty, and the fact that his mother named her darkest skin child Parizad already set up the beginnings of the impending complexes.

When she was going out with him, chatting with him, she could have asked him about his religious belief along with his other interests and ideology of life, as he hid nothing from her. Now when he is saying that he is a Muslim, no one has the right to judge his emaan. If she doesn’t believe him, or doesn’t want to live with a non religious man, she should leave him, instead of forcing religion down his throat. She looked more worried by his accident than she was for her brother, so doesn’t really look she wants to leave him either.

I don't agree with Hasan's point on Parizaad's complexion, & if anyone who mentions it. This is not about how 'you' see Parizaad & people with dark skin, but actually the society that warded him off its 'woh aik nazar' that Parizaad was always in a quest for. The OST also complements that with these lyrics.
حُسن کے جزیروں میں روپ کے کناروں پر
ریشمی اندھیرے ہیں سُرمئی اُجالے ہیں
Also, to differentiate between Parizaad & those like Naheed & Majid.
خواہشوں کے جنگل میں حسرتوں کے بستر پر
جسم تو گلابی ہیں اور دل سے کالے ہیں
There's also NO actor who could've done it finer than Ahmed Ali Akbar.
Let's just take it as a part of his 'character' & not make it something else. Let's just stick to Parizaad & 'his' very journey. There are projects that revolve around color & even body size, which actors with those or even without those happen to show up with, all for a 'performance'. We can also question Salman Khan for playing a 'pehelwan' when he wasn't ever one himself, in Sultan, with all those struggles of his body type & how he could put them to succeed. The beauty of Parizaad is not only in its apparent demonstrations, but its so many subtleties. Colorism exists & people do prefer a certain complexion over another - provided that they're not as learned or even learned at all, educated or have the exposure to understand how a color does not account for one's 'beauty', whilst growing up with the conditioning of a society that did not teach them these ideas with social media & the progressing world in particular.

I agree with hugging part in the last scene of Parizaad! As an Indian, who has watched some Hindi dramas, I wanted them to hug because we see this in our dramas. They could held hands at least.
Anyway, it was one of the poetic episodes I have ever seen, also Raqeeb Se's last episode was poetic. The scenery, performance of actors, the background music, the feelings conveyed.. I mean.. it was very very well executed!
I also loved how they changed "use" to "tumhe" in the poetry at the end..
I would also like to add that Parizaad was self-conscious of his physical appearance and I believe that having dark complexion was his one of the reasons of him feeling inferior, although this thing didn't become stone of his path. He didn't want to come in front of Annie as he had fear of being refused due to his appearance due to which he even destroyed his own sculpture. He was always less self-assured.
But i LOVED, LOVED the series. Ahmed Ali Akbar has set a benchmark for many actors for sure!

Dr. sharjeel see pareezad and pareezad run so tht Annie can't recognize him Annie too starts walking behind him It was raining so Annie is about to slip when her fingers touched pareezad's face and she recognize him and says "pareezad ye aap h na!" Pareezad still tried soo hard to run bt as he was sick so he unable to run and fell Annie then put his head on her lap and removed her glasses(she chosed to wear glasses nd live blind life until she won't see pareezad) Annie looked in his eyes and face with all the love pareezad wanted and wondered for all his life her tears washed his face and all the insecurities he had about his personality then pareezad felt his body like stone and eyes stuck on Annie and heard everyone around crying then kamaali come forward and closed pareezad's eyes the novel ended with the poem "hamesha der kar deta hu mae" so this is the end of the novel pls be kind if i stated something wrong or missed something...according to me this end is also fully justified bt left me in tears for almost 1 week...nd thts wht is grt about drama that it so positive and im shedding tears of happiness❤

Parizaad is a huge success. As Amna said its a reality check to those who think showing abuse gets TRPS. So happy this drama is not of a tragic hero, yet so commercially well received. Coming to 2nd last epi, Parizad didn't even wiped off Aine's years when she was leaving for surgery and crying along with clearly telling him the importance he holds in her heart, therfore even in last epi, he didn't hold her hand. But Aine could have. I felt that while taking her hand down from his face, she should have lightly moved her hand over his scarve/sweater. And Hassan Aine said that i don't know your insecurities and couldn't take you out from all your internal complexities, so I think it makes sense that they both need time. The lesson of having purpose is also well given by this drama along with several others. I am ok with sucj grand dramas to be shown on cinema for last epis, but show it on Sunday on cinema and then on tv the very next day. Love the last conversation with white capped mountains background and that by a drama. Wow!!!

This last episode was the perfect culmination for the emotionly packed drama , Parizaad. Both Ali Akbar and yumna’s characters were true to their persona’s. I agree with Hassan that as viewers we wanted a little romance between them but that would have been contradictory to their personalities. For Parizaad , his whole life was consumed with his lack of self esteem ,self worth and undeserving of anyones respect and love. Annie on the other hand had not felt so close before to someone mentally and spiritually.. it was a meeting of minds for both ..
A n extremely powerful story of loving and giving , which highlights the distortion and superficiality of our society , today..

Pariaad's huge success negates the misconception that only women watch dramas so it is imperative from a business point of view to make dramas with female central characters and that too roti dhoti since most of our women can relate with such a woman. I've observed that whenever they make a drama with a male protagonist, its viewership doubles and it becomes equally popular in male and female viewers. Recent examples are Parizaad and Mere Paas Tum Ho. I do hope that they keep this in mind for their future projects and also explore the genres of Mystery, Thriller, Action, etc. in our dramas.

AMK: I think Dua’s concern is if Mustajab is an atheist or agnostic. In that case she cannot stay with him. It doesn’t matter what his birth certificate says, what he believes is important for her to know. This is a very different situation as compared to being with a non practicing believer
They have picked a very sensitive topic indeed

The best thing for me was surely... *Tumhe awaz deni ho....Tumhe wapis bulana ho* ...instead of usey,,,,,it added much more value to the entire poetry scene,,,,,, watching again and again ...so beautiful...One thing more ..that is as Hassan said, though they gave a happy, satisfied ending to final episode still .........yes still we wanted more...it's definitely the chemistry between two exceptional actors,,AAA and YZ,,, that happy ending is not enough for us...

Parizaad, dialogues, cinematography, poetry, acting everything was love! yeah at the ending u want something more!🥰 ..."Ye raha dil" ended at a scene where yumna and ahmad were on a grass holding each other hands, promising each other to support each other dreams as in parizaad, but in both cases you want something more from them! ❤️

While discussing parizad , I think criticizing his complexion( tanned) was totally out of context . Looks like Hassan Chaudhry doesn’t belong to Pakistani society. Dark complexion people has to face lot of problems . I was so surprised to hear whitening injections are very common in Pakistan. If you go back in first few episodes when parizaad was born his aunt said no one in their family is that dark and laughed about it. I hope Hassan will not take my opinion personally😊

And also that...cosmetic surgery part referred to the dark complexion issue...about what hassan said that they never mentioned his dark color in the whole drama...but actually they did mention that...the dark skin was part of his shakhsiyat

Yes...i remember one news anchor, Maria memon, married a guy with dark complexion and she had to face such derogatory remarks just because that guy is "kaala" his high post, his degrees were considered useless in front of his complexion....
Similarly, Fahad Mustafa has on record described his plight before and after skin whitening treatment...
Maybe Hassan is saying that if his complexion was that big an issue it should have been addressed properly....

The reason dua is again and again enquiring about his beliefs is that she can't remain in married relationship with a Person who is a non-believer. It can be her choice to remain or leave a toxic relationship. But a Muslim woman or man can't remain in nikah with someone who does not believe in Allah.

I have waited for your finale review on Parizaad since Tuesday. It was a refreshing character as even though he has been lovestruck, he has maintained a certain grace and dignity which is missing from our male toxic characters. The dignity of Parizaad stood out. The dialogue 'zindagi mohabbat ke beghair guzar sakti hai, maqsad ke beghair nahi' was heart touching and a message to everyone that there is something greater out there waiting to be achieved. Beautiful balance of poetry and good writing coupled with the stellar acting. When I saw the promos, there were so many characters that it seemed chaotic. Then, I found out Shehzad Kashmiri is the director and I was like this drama is either going to do wonders or flop. Every character and actor was brilliant. I will miss this drama and rewatch it. Ahmed is super!

The end doesn't matter as much Amna. His characters in Khaani and Ishqiya were still glorified and people still fan girl over those characters like idiots. They always make his toxic characters like a bechara for the audience to go gaga over.

Feroz Khan really needs to get rid of this toxic spoiled man image!
Talking about AMK…Dua handled Mustajab really bad! He is already messed up and pushing him the way she does will only push him away farther. She becomes really annoying at some points. He needs to see the good positive side of dua. Also deen mey Jabar nahi hai! She should give him time and show him how to be a better person or leave him right away!

Thank God it was not a yash chopra ending! I loved the subtilty, one must leave certain things to ones imagination that is the beauty of telling a beautiful story, you are left with wanting more!
Hassan piyaray, my two cents on the fact that why he didnt express his love is because he said there is more to life than love and that is Maqsad. Love can come and go but when you have a maqsad it gives you a direction. Aur maqsad kay saath mohobat bhi mil jaye tu Subhan Allah!

@Hassan Parizaad in novel was described to be a dark skinned person with chicken pox scarring on his face. If you recall, in first episode when he was born, people around him called him ugly.
Also when Behroze asked him for his last wish, he asked to get his face destroyed after his death.
Repeatedly saying that his personality is opposite of his words was not exactly a referral to his face. It included his overall personality which includes his looks, his hair, his body language, his posture and a lot more. A person can have attractive personality despite being average looking and vice versa.
We did indeed want a lot more of Parizaad and Annie but Amna is right. Her expression of love is not going to take away his complexes in a moment. He needs time to gain trust of her love and being used to getting admired.
There could be a few more episodes to build that trust and we, ofcourse wouldn't have minded that either 😃

AMEK is disaster. Feroze Khan's acting is TERRIBLE. Overacting and laughable. Please do not defend Feroze Aamna. He chooses to play toxic characters repeatedly. A great actor is defined by the variety of roles and their body of work. Feroze only has one type - toxic.
