I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GUYS DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE SCULPTURE SCENE. It was meant to be different "mery dil ki dunya main ap aisy dikhtay hain" it was never meant to look like Ahmed. It's Annie's interpretation of his face. 😩😩

This is my first time commenting here. I just wanted to say that I feel like the sculpture in Parizaad was made to look less-than-stellar on purpose. It has been sculpted by someone who cannot see and can only create what she assumes someone to look like. I found it to be a very realistic portrayal of the situation. It makes sense that she doesn't have a perfect sense of proportion and she cannot replicate something as complicated as someone's face without looking at it. She doesn't have to be a perfect sculptor either. I'm glad they showed the sculpture as well because, again, I think it was done on purpose, especially considering that the episode ended at that scene to keep a sense of mystery. And I didn't feel like Parizaad loved the sculpture but is rather figuring out whether to tell her that it doesn't resemble him or not because she's so happy and is literally telling him that that is how SHE sees him in her heart. He also says "magar" after saying "buhat khubsurat hai" as if he wanted to tell her that it's not very accurate.

Haven’t seen the whole video yet, but just going off of the title of this video, I can say I strongly disagree with the statement that Annie didn’t make a good enough sculpture of Parizaad. On the contrary, I thought it was just perfect!! She is a blind person, so she couldn’t have made an exact replica. But she got the essence of Parizaad just perfectly! It showed him to be beautifully perfect (the way she envisions him to be), without any scruples or imperfections. Plus she brought his personality out in the sculpture. His benevolence, his magnanimity, his graciousness, and his humility……all of that showed in that sculpture of Parizaad.

I am an indian, i like pakistani dramas, and watch these two to get their take on dramas from what i used to think was an intellectual take on them. Overtime it has become clear they are less professional critics and more sofa spectators. The male host can be found arguing with people who comment on unfavorably of his reviews lol. It’s nothing less than a big laugh, so don’t take them too seriously.

My dad turned blind at the age 14
✅His love for sculpting … I have seen him mold the mud in his hands and mold them to a Hindu. God sculpture- very similar feeling to Annie doing it
✅My dad is spontaneous- he will make calls to big shot people- reach their offices before letting them know-Just like Annie turned up at Parizaad office

I usually never comment but this time I couldn't hold myself back.
Missing the entire point of the scene aside, to delve into details about whether blind people can even make visual art was not only unnecessary but completely ignorant. It was also extremely insensitive to discuss the craftsmanship of a blind person. Please practise restriant or educate yourselves next time before you discuss certain topics.
Now onto the sculpture scene, to claim that the sculpture wasn't beautiful enough is to miss the crux of the entire scene. Annie is blind however she can 'see' Pari's soul. The sculpture is her perception of him. It's the embodiment of how she sees him; his pure soul, his humility, his love and generosity. Frankly, I thought it captured Pari's essence perfectly. Of course it wouldnt be perfect. She touched him once and sculpted him not just from her memory but also her feelings for him.
It's such a beautiful and yet tragic scene because you can see how almost guilty Pari looks. He's longed for love all his life but on the condition that he's loved for his face. Now hes come across a beautiful girl who's basically showing him how 'beautiful' he really is in her eyes but instead of being at peace he's even more uncomfortable and is unable to accept it. His inferiority complex against his looks is so great and deeply etched that he's unable to see himself as how Annie sees him. And that's his fatal flaw which is also why its a tragedy.

The scene between Parizaad and Annie was so intimate yet so descent. No BGM added up a surreal feeling to that scene and then AHMED ALI AKBAR and YUMNA ZAIDI nailed it effortlessly with their topnotch chemistry as they emoted with their eyes. Moreover, I guess I'm the only one who felt a resemblance of sculpture with Parizaad's face features. Tho it can be done in a much much better way and the sculpture looked so different but still, there was some resemblance.

I hate to contradict Amna but the nose ring, in the south Asian subcontinent, is not indicative of prostitution, but marital status. In most south East Asian cultures, Nath is a ceremonial part of weddings and is considered a part of the beautification process a women undergoes when she “comes of age”. In some cultures, it denotes “lower class/caste” but that doesn’t mean courtesan or prostitutes.

    1. Parizad and Aine.... ufffff how beautiful it was. And how AAA was looking at Yumna. Falling in love wala scene tha.
    2. Parizad meeting Nazaaas. how powerful and beautiful that scene was. when he entered in room, you can see what he was feeling in that moment. And then the way he asked......Cigarette peety ho. And only one line from Nasaaaaz was so heart touching..... Peety to han....then his expressions. i have watched that scene on repeat. It has such significance and take you back to initial episode. When he was that under confident shy college boy. Nasaaz looking at him must be remembering that college parizaaad and now looking at his transformation. The scene has touched my heart.

Parizaad: The face touching scene was so intricately shot without being indecent. Brownie points to how the expressions of Parizaad change from amusement to awkwardness to a sense of liking with inner peace while Annie is all technical until the last moment when she stops with a realisation. This was pure art and romance in true sense adding to the much needed tasteful intimacy in Pakistani dramas.

Dobara: this drama is becoming the definition of perfect, aur ab toh Mahir and Mehru ki chemistry bhi dikhegi!
The way Mahir reacted when Narmeen came in made me assured that what is going to happen between him and Mehru isn't going to be true love, but a deceit from his side, while she will probably fall for him, or maybe has alreadh started to. He's clearly still in love with Narmeen, though she has obviously moved on. But kuchh bhi bolo, saath mein toh Mahir aur Mehru hi achhe lagte hain. Their scene in the hospital just brought a smile on my face. And the way they both are there for eachother depicts what true friendship is about. But the fault of him being misguided or even thinking about using Mehru for money is Babar's. Woh toh pehle se hi money-minded tha, but Mahir shouldn't have been influenced by him. I know humans are flawed and uski bhi majboori hogi, but still. Rahi baat Ibtisam, phoppo aur nalayaq bete ki, toh Ibtisam ke scenes are funny, specially the one when Mehru is driving. Phoppo aur nalayaq beta are doing what they have been doing, planning plotting in a funny way and Mehru ko apni zindagi jeene se rokna.
Teaser dekhke I was happy, but also heartbroken, as Mahir has probably taken Babar's advice seriously, but uski wajah se we will maybe soon get to see them in a romantic relation and before that, in more scenes together.
Performances mein this time for me the friend shined the most, closely followed by Hadiqa, Bilal and Javed Sheikh.
Hope ki in the end he does really fall for Mehru and they become a thing, even though uske liye abhi bahut time hai.
P.S: I think that Ibtisam being there just for comic relief and not a serious possibility for marriage is what makes Dobara unique, and that's what makes the message of an older woman and younger man being together stronger. Also, I think Mehru ki inclination ki wajah will be the loneliness she is feeling and how Mahir makes it fade away by being there for her. Maybe they'll reveal it in the coming episodes.

Both understand each other due to similar past bitter relationships and would be supportive of each other. The question is: Would they fall in love with each other? Or would Maahir want a family of his own, children? How would they counter pressure by Affan and the society? Dear Ammna and Hassan, this is for the very first time I'm commenting on your review of Parizaad.. before I comment I would like to appreciate the efforts you both put for making these reviews...bravo, I really like the way and the content of your show.
And now my point on this particular review is... first of all we must not judge the sculpture and the paintings so harshly as it was done in your show, I'm an artist by profession and I found the whole ambience very appropriate..after watching your review I once again watched the whole scene, and found that in one of the unfinished paintings there were eyes... and this subtle presence of eyes in the studio of a blind girl was an statement in itself... so saying " bad paintings" is bit off taste... the fact is, a blind girl doing art is commendable.. the same is the case as far as the sculpture is concern , it was created by a blind artist... she has created what her fingers and heart showed to her... I wish you had not tried to search for the resemblance in it...
But as we say, we should respect everyone's opinions so I do respect your take on that scene. I felt bit uncomfortable by your remarks on art in the room so I mentioned it.. lots of respect and regards for both you. Sincere thoughts. 🙏🙏

it is said that beauty lies in the eyes of the person and not in the face. Annie's interpretation of parizaad's face is very similar to the way he looks and that doesn't mean that she doesn't find him goodlooking but still likes him, this means that she admires, loves and respects him the way he is which everyone else failed to. She has no discrimination of ugly and beautiful faces

AMEK:I can sense this becoming a guilty pleasure for me!
Their initial conversation was actually nice and he seemed genuine for some minutes, but he again turned into the typical toxic person who can't take no for an answer after Duaa politely refused him. But you can see that she is also starting to get intrested in him throughout the episode, specially in the conversations with her brother. But both the conversations Bobby had with his mother made me question myself "Can't they show a non toxic guy for once in a geo drama?" I get that humans are greyish in life, but Bobby gives more vibes of the typical antihero Feroze has played in every other drama. My favourite part though, has to be the date. It was just visually so pleasing, and the way they both looked at eachother and even talked to eachother just made me smile too. The OST was the USP there.
But obviously, a drama in which Iffat is the mother, usme usko negative toh hona hi hai. I at least didn't expect that they were lying to Duaa about the America thing. But the talk they had after the "engagement" made me feel like Bobby isn't in love with her, or even infatuated, rather he just wants to win her like she was some kind of trophy. And I swear ki jab Bobby asked his mother if his condition was that he couldn't handle rejection, or if it was his ego, I yelled "both" at the screen. His reaction somewhat seemed exagerated. But Duaa bhi confused hai. Suddenly when the brother tells her that he doesn't think that the rishta is right, she loses all intrest and says ki family ki wish is more important.
Anyways, teaser se toh yeh lag raha hai that Duaa finally has sorted her feelings and wants to get married to him, and I don't know if to feel happy or be angry.
Performances somewhat exaggerated thi, but watchable. Hope the story turns out to be something else than only the possessiveness of Bobby for Duaa.

Length of Parizaad discussion could have easily been halved, had yal not spoken so extensively about the mujassama😂, which I think most viewers either way didn't bother about😅 and it wasn't that bad either, it was more about Annie's emotions. ❤️🤩
Fully agree with AKT discussion that her death was a pointless twist in the otherwise sensitively portrayed storyline.
In Dobara, I agree with Hassan's pov that it needs to also be shown why Mehru is inclined towards Mahir (since they're already showing the reason for his inclination), so the portrayal of Ibtisaam seems sensible, a bit ott nevertheless. Kudos to Bilal like Aamna said spcly that last scene.👏🥺

Musht-e-Khaq: Amna, as a lot of young girls watch your program, please be firm in your interpretations. If you personally think that some attitude was wrong please don't provide alternate/wavering opinions. Any girl in her Dua's shoes should never consider to reform a spoilt man, as it takes a life time of suffering and miseries to reform a complex man. This only works well in arranged marriages not when you have a choice. Dua did not take to that man from the begininng but she is pushed to show him the house, to go out for dinner with him etc. If they had not done that Dua would have never got manipulated by Firoze's explainations about his mean side.

The sculpture was made by a visually impaired person. It was supposed to be average, nhe?? Even the sculpture she gifted him a few episodes ago was below average.
Secondly, as humans, somehow we cant see our own beauty. Generally we are critical of ourselves. Each one of us has complexes which others simply can't see or understand but in our own heads we keep killing ourselves
    Meri naak moti/patli/chhoti/lambi ha
    Mai overweight hun
    Rang kala ha
    N so on..
There's no end to our complexes and feelings of NOT enoughness. We are always looking for an external validation from someone else, that makes us feel that we are good enough.
Parizaad got that same validation from that sculpture. It was like:
"She sees me, I m good enough for her. "
N there's peace n love in that validation.

Brilliant message, Akhir kab tak chup raho gi, Awaz utahao, ask questions. Dilemma is that shyness is considered a virtue of a woman in our society. Instead of modesty, the term, “ sharam o haya”, is taken as being shy, timid and staying quiet. The drama beautifully portrayed how standing up for rights, is balanced with love and respect for the family.
-- They showed how a woman can value her worth and exert her authority while showing respect for elders, as the mother did.
-- They showed how a girl can be assertive for her and her siblings rights, and at the same time be helpful and caring for the family by looking after the factory work and help financially.
    - They showed how husbands can be supportive and trust and respect their wives to gain their love and respect.
-- Most importantly, the society should be more empathetic towards victims and shun the curse of victim blaming.
I wish they had shown some of fajar’s scenes with Siam and the families at the end which seemed chopped off. On the whole it was an entertaining, educative project, much needed for the society.👍

I absolutely loved Sheikh Sahab's role and his acting in Dobara. It was quite an entertaining episode. I disagree with Amna's views that Ibtisam's character could have been different to show how Mehru would choose between the two. They are showing how Mahir subtly is attracted towards Mehru and how circumstances take him there, in the same way Mehru is shown how she is attracted towards Mahir in spite of him being younger. Ibtisam, being age appropriate according to the societal standards is not the person Mehru would go to because of his flaws, nonseriousness and the differences in his personality. If he was an intelligent, attractive, handsome, and encouraging person, there was no point of Mehru choosing Mahir.
