- My book “Josie’s Journey” is a not a motorcycle book, but rather a spiritual tale told in the story of one man’s journey to freedom. However, Josie’s is not a flowery yarn, nor does it venture anywhere near the sterile cleanness or deep phycological thought of many spiritual books:

Roy was in Lubbock once, he bench pressed 500 LBS at Iron J's there.
You are 💯about the spirit thing. Ride safe. Stay free 👊🏼
Nice video and shows how people who ride will go out of their way to help each other when they can,
so many people willing to help he was fab thanks for the video just great
Watched this video some time ago and enjoying the Good Vibe all over again. Juan and Dale sure are some nice folks! Hope your Travels are going well man, be cool🤙
Another amazing story. Love the people you meet and the behind the scenes
Nice video brother Scotty enjoy Mexico wishing I was down there already
I appreciate shops that help out , Even if its some words of advice they offer ill give them 10 bucks .
Some guys want you to leave the bike cause they "got to look at it first" then hit you with 2 hrs. Of labor for a not so hard fix.
Loved that chick, her first big ride. It's mental age that counts, I'm 9, not physical age, I'm 68. Going to be in Raymondville TX another month then heading north, like you, following old man winter as he goes north. Starting to plan a thumbnail route, like Idaho, Montana, North Dakota.? Need to be in Rochester NY in June. Thanks for another cool video. I almost never watch 30 minute videos but when there's a cool biker chick what can ya do.
Well im glad u liked this one.
Great video.
Watching all these videos makes me not even want to come back when i head out on route 66 in may.
I loved this vid
Awesome video man!!! 🇨🇦
Safe travels😅😅😅
As usual, nice job brother
Really nice shop, clean, all in order and personal attention, keeping riders riding, travelers on the road. Great attitude.
Sounds like windmill has a gear out.
Another great video brother
Josie's Journey is a good read. I enjoyed it and it's about been long enough for my short memory to have forgotten enough to enjoy another read... Getting old has that privilege anyway... movies and books (and your buddy's favorite lies) can be enjoyed over and over again, since they almost seem completely new to you.... That lady cracked me up about her million year old husband not being a million years old last night!!... I ride one of them rubber mount Sportsters with a carb. It's an 06 1200 Low. The olny thing I wish was different is the ignition system is a three year only deal, so you can't just find an ignition module anywhere. HD don't sell em anymore. Mine works fine, but I have been thinking about getting a Dynatek to run and keeping the stock module for a spare. They don't have the VOES system, and there's just an empty hole behind the points cover, not even machined into the cam chest, so you can't retrofit a solid mount motor style ignition to it. They have a crank trigger sensor and a vacuum sensor in the intake, probably the same sensors as the injected bikes, so at least those parts are available. Anyway, long, rambling story! :) Keep uploading the older ones, Scotty. Take it easy
Why not just keep the new ignition for a spare?
@@scootertrampscotty If I was to get the Dynatek one, I could dial in the timing curve to make it run its best instead of the smog curve that was set up for WAY too lean jetting to meet EPA regulations. As it is, you can't advance or retard the timing at all. Any other motor I ever had, bike or car, always seemed to pull harder and get better mileage if you advanced it a few degrees from the way the factory sets em up. It came with a 42 pilot and the plugs were almost solid white from being so lean. The plugs look good with a 46 pilot and 185 main. These rubber mount XL1200s have the Buell XB heads with the beehive springs and what HD calls their W cams from the factory for the 04-06 carbed motors, so they like close to big twin sized jets. It's got enough beans to snap the belt on it when I had to get out of the way of a guy that decided he wanted to drive right where I just happened to be at the time. Them 04 to 06's have the same Buell belt which is wider than either the newer injected bikes or the older solid mounts. If it didn't suck so bad to change sprockets so often, I would have put a chain on it, but all that sprocket changing adds up, so I try not to twist her up too hard before shifting to keep from breaking another one of them high priced belts. They sure are proud of them things!

My hard earned experience is that the factory almost always knows better than either me or the aftermarket companies. An old Panhead rider once told me, "Dont sweat the little shit. Ride it while it runs". Very good advice.
@@scootertrampscotty They definitely do more R&D than the aftermarket, for sure since they don't want any warranty claims. It just makes me skittish knowing I can't buy a replacement at a dealer since it has been discontinued and it's rare as hen's teeth, being a 3 year only deal. I'd like a spare in my bags just in case. I'm too wore out to push very far!
I needed a good ride today, as usual, glorious.. Would love an audio book, will check it out, bad eyes.. Peace out......
I never did figure how to do the audio book thing. Sorry.
Awesome video, the book is really good. Im not a reader and I get to where I cant put it down. Im in central Tx and when I saw Lubbock and you said storm I thought oh shit. Cause they have some bad ones up there. Have easy travels brother.
That copy is 5 completely different stories in one book but with many of the same characters. It will not stay like it starts. Takes place over the course of about 200 years. Go figure that. The whole thing leads to a punchline at the end that brings it all together. Hope it works for u Joe.
67...kickass! I got a purpose and a destination. Headed to KC in 6 weeks from SoCal. 53 and first motorcycle trip...Phil didnt see his shadow...Still gonna be chilly!!
I hope you had them do a software update while it was in the shop. That way you'll get the Broken Header Collar code next time. Or the 6TH Gear Can't Be Found Code. Wait you got the Baker welcome to the 21st century. That's a cool shop thanks for the video.
The bikes got no computer on it. No codes at all. Not really even sure how it can run like that 😂
@@scootertrampscotty It'll even start without a starter (if the hill is steep enough!)

No. I havent figured out how to do the audio thing yet.
Do you have a Facebook? I'm in Mayfield KY . Always welcome to use the couch
Ps. Hope the small monthly helps a bit.
That ones a big deal NoNo. Dont think it aint.
The holes in the building had fans on the outside and perforated tubes on the inside to blow air through grain to keep it dry.
Lol,i used to have a "rat fink" hat!
Looks like videos appear in searches again. Small step in the right direction from CZcams.....
Hope you’re doing good Scotty, yes, I have to get back to reading the book, I have not yet finished barely got started actually, Godspeed
Did i tell u its 5 completely different stories in one book but with many of the same characters. It will not stay like it starts. Takes place over the course of about 200 years. Go figure that. The whole thing leads to a punchline at the end that brings it all together. Hope it works for u
@@scootertrampscotty my problem is, I’m not much of a reader, never have been, but I have some long plane trips coming up, and I will take it and see if I can get through some of it, Godspeed, my friend
jaun is legend!!
Yup, this is an oldie. I copied the number to Lubbock in my contacts. When I go through there, I’ll stop by to say hey. Probably will need something done anyway. Always something.
Hey scotty, will you be attending laconia this year?

Gutsy lady.
I am outside Kingman Az, north off hiway 93.. I have a Mig, A torch and some hand tools. JUST sayin.
Than u, thank u Motorhead!
any opinion on ULTIMA Evo motors , new last few years ?
What do you think of a dual sport for traveling like you do Scotty.
Think im just stuck in my ways Larry. But nothing rides like a bagger, and this is the simplest bike of its kind ever built. Easy to fix.
@@scootertrampscotty Thanks Scotty, I was asking for myself because I ride a dual sport. I know Joe did for a while as well, but he gave it up for a crotch rocket, so I guess anything is possible 😅
@@larryslifeadventures
He dont have a rocket now. So far this is his favorite bike to date. Forget what it is.
Hey Scotty, you don’t know me but I’m the guy who called out to you while you were riding through Ajijic today, if your going to be around for awhile I’ll try to locate you to shoot the breeze for a bit if you don’t mind
Im not there anymore. On the coast. Be going north toward Puerta Vallarta. Text me if youd like 605-430-8801
If you are coming Thur fort Worth. Hit me up. I always have room for a fellow biker
Can u send your name, town name, and state for my records Kell?

You have to much thought with your camera and how close you get up on strangers it’s a little uncomfortable to them you can see it in their faces
You referring to juans wife ?? Lol yeah that was a little creepy I won’t lie 😅. Old guys eh
Could be i had the zoom out a bit. Fortunately though, most folks are hams!
Old video! I have seen this video before a year or so ago on your channel. Don't like repeat old videos. Be real................
d0nt watch it den ERIC!!
CensorCZcams deleted my old channel. Think i should just through those old videos away? So i stick em in between the new ones sometimes.
I really enjoy your videos I just have seen this one before a while back. Keep up the great work and ride safe Thanks!@@scootertrampscotty
@@ericfastclip9959
Im going to put more old vids up when and if i get more new followers. ScrewCZcams keeps unsubscribing followers of my channel though. Guys keep complaining about it.
