    She plays really quite beautifully, and then he improves it further. Very interesting as I could not see much to improve on until he made his suggestions.

    I’m blown away by his demonstrations. Both are exceptional, of course, but when Noah shares his insights with her and starts to play on his violin, it’s like there’s another world right there at the other side of the stage.
    Bravo bravo. Lovely music making here!

    If I had to play in front of him I guess my self esteem would die because of shaky bow, but I'd love to have a long conversation about music with him. Great masterclass, really

    As an adult learning the violin (gd6) I found this very instructive! Her playing is beautiful and Noah made it even more colourful. Videos like this motivated me to take up the violin!

    Thank you for posting this it was very helpful! I studied violin in college and am now a full time music teacher. Since I can't really afford lessons for myself anymore, I try to challenge myself and was just starting to work on this piece when I found this! It's like getting lessons again! This masterclass was very helpful! Also in giving me some teaching ideas to use with my students. :-)

    Thanks for the wonderful masterclass. One small feedback: It might a good idea to consistently turn off the teacher's voice mic when he or she is demonstrating, so that the teacher's instrument doesn't sometimes sound so artificially louder than the student's. It's not easy because the teacher can switch from talking to playing in seconds but it makes it easier for the musical points to come across.

    • @karajanacademy
      @karajanacademy  Před 5 lety +9

      Thanks for the feedback, Stewart! We will try to incorporate it next time!

    • @VictorMinchihLee
      @VictorMinchihLee Před 5 lety

      How exactly do you find the artificial amplification impacting the communication of the musical points?

    • @regulatorysuccess20
      @regulatorysuccess20 Před 5 lety +1

      @@VictorMinchihLee He meant that the close proximity mic makes it easier to convey musical points due to the ability to quickly switch from playing to talking. But the only negative aspect is the artificial amplification of the instructor's violin due to the same mic

    • @khaderach19
      @khaderach19 Před 4 lety

      could be easier to also mic the student as well

  • @derik2nicolai584
    @derik2nicolai584 Před 4 lety +6

    She is really good violinist, but why the sound of her violin is not loud enough, maybe the mice is bit far from her, and Noah’s violin sounds great. Thanks for this valuable video, as I got old and ill I miss teaching 🌺🌺🌺

    • @Ysmir.
      @Ysmir. Před 3 lety +2

      He has a microphone for speaking, you can see it attached to his shirt and it enhances the sound of his violin. normally there is no microphone, you would hear less of a difference if they turned the mic off when he was playing, though the quality of an instrument also impacts it's ability to project sound, especially in big spaces

    I think she"s doing well and nice,,, The only thing she might improve to play this piece, it"s more about right-hand technique and articulation in Mozart"s music.,,, Actually, she got what she needs, Tthat was a good masterclass for her to improve her understanding of Mozart music. Thank you for sharing this video.
