- So yeah, recently I came back a little bit to this fun game.
I really enjoy the "three of a line kind"(?) mechanic, it's really challenging, and intense when you try to keep up the combo while stacking high.
Unlike my other runs, in this one I reached 2kk points with an amazing triple tetris, literally, at "The Edge of the World", lol, which is worth 999,999 points.

Jotaro Kujo well yeah, only like 1 since most popular games are either a horror game with 3B visits that has 10% creativity and 90% is inspired by something like spongebob or peppa pig, or is a decent shooter game, but my computer isn’t good with a shooter game with more than like 10 things happening lol

in sega rotation games (including arika rotation; tetris the grand master) t-spins become something necessary for survival rather than point bonuses, especially at higher speeds (and 20g in the TGM games). irrc (been a minute) tgm 3 in classic mode, not world mode, displays that you got a t-spin but doesn't reward you.

The Sega ones are definitely amongst the hardest in the series.
Its predecessor (which is very similar to this one) released in 1988 was so popular (especially in Japan and East Asia) that some gameplay features were reused in other Tetris games such as Tetris S, Puyo Puyo Tetris (another game released by Sega) and even Tetris: The Grand Master.

Well... it's me again. I think it's nonly now that I can fully take in the 90's weirdness in this game to fully appreciate it. Sega Tetris, as weird as it looks, is actually a really fun game on the inside with lots of weird and cool mechanics no other game has, so I think it's neat that you've recorded multiple playthroughs to upload on CZcams.

I think i’ve only come to appreciate this game more now, because of the wacky design choices for everything, and how obscure this game is (more so because of how freakish this game can look, but in a good way)
Cool detail is that each image on the slots matched the lines you make
1 is strawberry
2 is cherry which come in a pair
3 is a bunch of bananas that come in 3
And 4 is a crown with 4 protrudes on it
And almost half the score is from that Triple Tetris in mid-countdown. ))
The "Little Isle" theme makes me think of Pac-Man World.

How do you get past the countdown to the edge of the world? Pieces there lock down so fast
What are Some tips for the countdown?
I would say, just play safe, extremely safe.
This Sega rotation system in particular is a nightmare at high speeds and short lock down. Even for me.
That's why I didn't actively play for back-to-back-to-back clears at endgame, it's really hard to recover from mistakes.
Thanks! The problem is, I don’t think I can even *tap the movement keys fast enough.* I figured out that holding a key to move a piece in one direction ends up where a delay stops from being too slippery, yet that same delay makes the countdown _way_ more difficult.
look up the piece sequence. You get a special bonus for each all clear you make. You are SUPPOSED to cheat and plan out how to survive it.

just so you know, the real objective during 16-17 is to abuse your knowledge of the famous poweron pattern for sega tetris to get bravos. :) this is how you get the special bonus.

And turns out the special bonus is for the segaish task of not using clockwise rotation at all and surviving the credits. And yes, if you do exactly what's done in that video, you can replicate it, since the pattern is fixed at that point.

Guessing normal or easy (easy lets you restart, normal locks you out when you top out) and not the hard or joint mode or whatever
