I love that you purge your collection XD I feel like so many people online just keep things without thinking about it and end up with these massive collections. and there's nothing wrong with that, but i like seeing people's curated collections of things they truly love and not just things they haven't gotten rid of yet.
Bruh I read Song of Achilles like a year ago and I still cannot stop thinking about it it’s one of my favorites, if not literally my favorite, of all time
I read 'How to Make a Wish' like two days ago and it broke me. It was so beautiful, and I want to adopt the characters and hug them and give them hot chocolate and cookies. I think you'll like it! Also, I read 'The House on Mango Street' a few months ago for my North American literature class and really, really liked it. It's very easy to read and short, but so powerful, important and empowering. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on these two :)
I'm especially excited to read those two, so hopefully I'll get to them by the end of the summer!!

I usually don't like bookshelf tours, because a lot of booktubers have so many shelves, and they're all filled with so many books; it makes me feel like a slacker or a fake reader...but then I remember that a lot of the books they have on their shelves they haven't read - and don't plan to read - which just frustrates me, because they take up SO MUCH ROOM.

Thomas Foster books are usually slower, but I love his voice! I read "How to Read Novels like a Professor" the summer before my senior year of high school, and I just recently bought "How to Read Literature like a Professor". I don't know how the two compare, but I hope you at least somewhat enjoy it. It is a quick read - do with that what you will.

I read How to Read Literature Like a Professor for AP English like three years ago and I really liked it. I found it really easy to read and very interesting.
The House on Mango Street is such a sweet book I read it for school last year and it touched my heart!

ORANGE oh my goodness I love orange !!! and I totally agree about not keeping books you don't like - I've found that I never touch the ones I dislike after reading them, so I prefer borrowing new books from the library and deciding from there whether or not I want to buy myself a copy. coincidentally I started reading six of crows this month!! leigh bardugo is an actual genius??

Oof, Just skipping over House of Leaves. It is so good, I can't recommend it enough. When I saw it on your bookshelf I was really excited to hear your reaction to it. Hope you get around to it eventually, but the book can be challenging to get through.

I've inadvertently purchased things (books and DVDs) with library markings--usually from ebay. When I do, I always call the library in question just to be sure that they sold the book/the sale was legit. :D
