How do I paint it properly, what kind of paint do I use? If there is an easier or more beginner car which one should I get. I’m super new to this and just would love me info thanks in advance
There are a lot of different paint brands on the market, but really only 4 chemical types. The first is Acrylic paint. This is a water-based paint that is generally non-toxic and dries as soon as the moisture evaporates from it. Tamiya is one of the brand names. The second is enamel paint and this is an oil based paint that cleans up with general purpose paint thinner. It takes 24-48 hours to dry, but once it sets, it has a good finish. Testors is one company that makes it. The third is laquer paint. Chemically, it is a "hot" paint, made from the same chemicals as your model cement. It can "attack" the plastic if you use too much paint. However, it is quick drying and the more coats you apply, the deeper the shine. Nail polish and automotive color match paints are usually laquer. The fourth is alcohol based. These clean up with rubbing alcohol. Molotow chrome paint pens use alcohol based chemicals. As far as applying paint, that is more complex and there are 100's of videos out there to show you how it's done, but basically, you can either spray paint your model or use a paint brush.
Love this Nova and I would love to get me one of these someday 😅
