- Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Welcome back for season 2 Yellowjackets fans, we;ve made it through our week long hiatus! Today we are talking about easter egg's, theories, secrets, what you missed in the latest episode, and mainly we are discussing one of the biggest questions of Yellowjackets, who is under the antlers? Who is the Antler Queen? Or should I say Who's the Antler Queens? This week we finally get to see episode 206 Qui AND not only is Shauna in labour, but our six adult Yellowjackets, Shauna, Nat, Tai, Misty, Lottie AND Van are FINALLY together at Lottie's compound! What the hell is going to happen?! I have a feeling them being together will be the episode cliffhanger and then we'll have to wait ANOTHER week until episode 207, ***. We only have THREE FULL MAIN episode of Yellowjackets Season 2 left, and would you believe the Yellowjackets writers went back to work yesterday, day one of Yellowjackets Season 3 at Showtime, but the WGA went on Strike today so now the show is on pause. I really hope the writers get their demands met, they deserve to be compensated fairly! So coming up this week in Yellowjackets season 2 episode 6 , we have all six adult Yellowjackets together, Shauna is in labor in the 1990's timeline and being interrogated by the police in the 2020's timeline, it's quite the week for Shauna this week! I'm brand new to this show and Fandom after only starting 2 and a 1/2 days ago and binge watching everything. And just a brief thought as I'm listening to different videos and things (because for me one challenge I have is I'm legally blind and unwell) so as much as I love the show I can't see a lot of the hidden images that aren't part of sound or spoken things so I can't see like the posters on the wall and read what they are and things like that so I have to watch these videos to grasp and catch up to the things I'm not seeing when I watch the show But now that I'm understanding everything a little bit more......
I know that the necklace is seeminglya really big deal. Now I'm thinking since Jackie I guess was officially the 1st you know sacrifice maybe the necklace is always put on the individual to be sacrificed as like a way to honor Jackie and the whole process and that's why whoever falls into the pit has the necklace on.
Just a thought I'm like only 2 and a 1/2 days into this so forgive me if I'm like way behind. 😅
I think your theory is correct! I just watched a video that was talking about the friendship necklace Jackie gave to Shauna is on pit girl so that's another clue to confirm your theory!

We know that with the timeline, they were rescued in Winter, so it’s possible the ritual we see in the pilot was shortly before they were rescued. What if Lottie was the next one who was supposed to be sacrificed at the time they were rescued, and now hallucinating the queen card the darkness is showing her that she’s still next? Will adult Lottie make it to next season?
Wow. If this theory is true and she's still next....that would make sense of why she is so horrified.

I'm just confused by Lottie screaming in rage (in the clip after they were rescued) if she was just saved from being the next one hunted? Teen Lottie seems really enraged that she was pulled out of the wilderness before she could ... *what*, exactly?
Another crazy observation; We hear Lottie's dad say; "Shes been like this since she returned. Hasn't eaten or spoken...can you fix her?" I'm now wondering if she actually stopped eating and speaking while still in the wilderness. It would explain why she doesn't eat (especially if she's AQ) at the ritual, in episode 1.

The Q of ❤ card has its eyes scratched out. Javi brought the card. He mentioned “she”. There’s a connection there between Javi’s hiding and bad Tai.
The thick veil worn by the "antler queen" reminds me of the hoods executioners used to wear. I think the drawn queen card means you are "queen" & choose the next sacrifice. Explains the scratched out eyes on the card and skyrockets the amount of guilt anyone who'd drawn the card would carry with them.
I think one of them (Lottie IMO) had already drawn the Q❤ then was rescued and is now trying to outrun death. Lottie trying to sacrifice Travis as a replacement isn’t a stretch. Explains her being tormented.
That's a theory I could see being true.
Another theory I have seen is that all the Yellowjackets that survived have to sacrifice themselves before the show ends for the wilderness to be happy. Kind of depressing but wouldn't be mad if that is what they feel they need to do.

I posted this on my tumblr yesterday. And I agree with this theory. Thematically, Jackie was their first queen since she was the captain back in the civilization. Lottie made a comment back in the blood hive episode about how whenever a new queen bee was chosen, she had to kill other queen bees in order for all the hive doesn't have to starve (whatever that means). So again, thematically, Jackie the first queen bee was de-throned and then became their food in order for the hive not to starve. Just my two cents. I also think Lottie is probably next, cause she drew the Queen card. Every time a new AQ is elected, she has to de-throne the previous one and eat her. Then they draw chores of who does what with the body. The hunting could be symbolic ?? As in that's how the wilderness wants them to go? Also, I'm not sure yet, if Nat's hallucination means she is the next AQ to dethrone. I suppose we'll have to wait. God, this show is crazy.
Also, after rewatching season one I am struck by something Coach Ben said about "wolves can kill anything if the pack is big enough"... A lone Queen would be in a very precarious position. Queen or no Queen. The pack will devour you. Jackie was dethroned, first...I think this sets a precedent.
When they showed the pit girl in the beginning, I’m thinking it was Lottie, possibly in a dream. I think this because she is barefoot in the sleeveless gown that Lottie had on in the bunker in her dream.
I can also see this queen card being a set-up to bust Mari for cheating. Someone could very well point out how she always gets the "good chores" and the girls could privately agree to switch it up, unbeknownst to Mari. If she thinks the low card gets the crap chores they could decide to "see what happens" if they change it to the queen card. I can see this totally being a Misty idea. The girl DOES quote Plato, after all 😄💖
What if, the Queen card means you get to be the AQ but it doesn’t mean you will be sacrificed it means you will pick who gets sacrificed next. Remember when they all ate shrooms and Lottie was wearing the antlers and she told Shauna to kill Travis?? I think something like that happens each time they wear the antlers maybe they get possessed by the AQ. Also, in the last episode Lottie saw the queen card and the shadow of the AQ maybe it means she needs to pick someone to die and that is why she is gathering everyone😮.
I noticed something recently: What everyone calls a hook at the bottom of the symbol isn't that.
If you turn it upside down, it's the symbol of the Goddess Demeter, which is a sickle with a line through the bottom, like the female symbol.
She is the Goddess of harvest and agriculture, which ties into their survival. She also lost her daughter, Persephone during the winter months to Hades and the Underworld. That could symbolize the lost Yellowjackets, and their difficulties with food and harvests.
This is too big of a coincidence to not be relevant ! 💕

Ok, first of all, I love this!!! And Madeliene's theory about adult Lottie being terrified is spot on! I've been saying for weeks that I think they draw to see who is sacrificed, not to see who the queen is. But the way you pointed out that the showrunners and cast are always reminding us that WE called her the antler queen...possible to point out that drawing the queen card doesn't make you a queen, it makes you a sacrifice--there is no actual "queen." I mean, obviously you don't scratch the eyes out of something good. But also, that would make sense if Javi brought back one queen card and there weren't any queen cards before...well, we only need one queen card for drawing one sacrifice (at a time). I'm thinking when she walks away from the feast she is going to bed and/or to prepare for the hunt (but then why would you not put some sneakers and a coat on) and the next day, either possibly the hunt is a planned thing (but then again, sneakers? coat?) or more likely, this particular sacrifice got scared and ran. The only thing that still bothers me is the pit. Up until just now while watching this video, I have always assumed the pit was to trap animals and pit girl just got lost and ran into it. But we've never seen them building any animal traps before now so that makes me think this pit was specifically for sacrificial people. But then, wouldn't everyone know where it was? And wouldn't pit girl have been more likely to avoid it??? Also, remember that supposedly adult Travis had a theory that you could see or know more things when on the brink of death...perhaps this is why the antler wearing sacrifice was originally called The Oracle!!!
I'm pretty sure the team will split up into 2 factions after Shauna has the baby. (I have a few theories on that) and pit girl Mari will be on the opposite side of the ones who built the pit trap. But we shall see.....
What if the oracle has to choose the next “pit girl” ? Because if it’s Lottie like we all think, obviously she’s not eaten. I feel like all our present day characters had a stint of being the antler queen and by the time they were rescued they were the last ones?

I definitely do agree that the Antler Queen is multiple girls. I'm not so sure about her not eating though because if she were going to be the next sacrifice, then actually she SHOULD eat because otherwise she will be skin and bones and not a good meal. If she's not eating maybe it's because she had to eat, like, the heart and other organs earlier?
the director costume designer said in an interview in 2022 that the oracle/shaman was Lottie, she was the only person they knew the identity of when making the clothes for the first scene. each of the girls is also supposed to represent an animal, Misty being a wolf.
I wouldn't be surprised if antler queen is just an entity rather than an actual person and that scene with her from ep 1. Was them feeling her energy; her satisfaction with their sacrifice.
Also think it’s indicative of season 1 where they were all fixated on hunting Travis seeing him as The Stag (white antlers) after taking shrooms. Almost like a foreshadowing?
Potentially a correlation between that repeated image of hunting a deer.
Van was the last victim to be Sacrificed/Eaten, in a time where the Queen is actually Lottie "😉". Therefore, in the promo we kinda get a glimpse of the animosity between the two.
Hmm I like that theory. It could explain why Van seemed so distant in comparison to the other girls in present day.
Oh I like this theory! Especially because it adds to the pattern of Van narrowly avoiding death. She almost died in the initial plane crash when they left her behind and the plane caught fire, she almost got eaten by wolves. And now she has a terminal illness. In the last episode she even mentions how her almost dying so many times is what makes her start believing Lottie. It would make sense if she was almost sacrificed and/or hunted in the past timeline right before they were saved.
She’s evaded death so many times and now we’re seeing her in a position where it’s finally caught up to her and she only has months to live.
I believe at this point the evidence is about 100% the pit girl was mari and she was the last to die before they were rescued. They state they were in the forest for 19 months so they have another year at least living there, and the hides and outfits they were wearing in the first episodes looked much nicer than they have now, so I think the pit girl died not in this winter, but the next. I also think maybe they were not starving by this time and the hunt was ceremonial to appease the wilderness god that they clearly went 100% in for. (which is why not all of them ate)
I’m starting to feel it’s none of them, but the thing they actually make the sacrifice to..a spirit type person.
i definitely believe the queen card has something to do with choosing the sacrifices, especially when you remember pit girl was wearing jackie's necklace.

i think the antler queen thing is actually a wendigo thing. in the lore, the wendigo have the antlers and draw people into cannibalism, turning the people into wendigo themselves. so, anyone that survived, that was able to eat...they are all antler queens because the wendigo pushed them to eat their friends. also makes sense with the whole nothern ontario location, goes with the myths.
so far, the show’s supernatural themes have been really grounded in wicca & greco-roman imagery (doomcoming bacchanalia, snackie feast), & honestly i really hope they stick with that instead of appropriating native legends

The doomscoming episode definately made me think of the cults that worshipped Dionysus/Bacchus. the girls went all maynad when they were on shrooms and zoned in on Travis. at the same time, location is significant in storytelling. they are in northern Ontario for a reason, it is very far off course. the imagery also heavily points to wendigo lore, as well as what they do to Jackie's body. Maybe it's a mix of mythogy.

I think Lottie is actually the Anti-Hero of "Yellowjackets" and is truly trying to save her friends aka the lost and messed up ones, Misty, Natalie, Shauna, and Taissa/Baissa.
I DON'T think Lottie is evil in anyway.
This is exactly what I was thinking, they are really trying to imply and paint lottie as the antagonist but I think it’s the opposite.

It doesn’t make logical sense to have a randomization event which determines who decides the victim, if they were going to do that they may as well vote. The whole point is to create deniability, the victim will be determined by the randomization event because that allows you to live with yourself, fate is to blame.
I think my biggest fear is that if the show runners don’t have a overall plan of what’s happening present day and in the past like if we get to the end and it’s like we’ll never know imma hurt
I want to say they already established they have an overall plan for up to four to five seasons from any interviews I have heard from the showrunners.

I think the antler queen is many of them as well. However, I think the only way to dissolve these separating factions that are appearing is to give each of them the power to make decisions.

I think it’s only the queen of hearts that Javi brought back. There has been heart imagery throughout: Jackie’s locket, the bear heart, Misty’s Queen of Hearts Hairdo at the Madhatters Tea Party dream, Lottie drawing the card with the eyes scratched out and probably more such as the beating sounds, blood dripping sounds etc. Jackie was definitely the first Antler Queen possessing the heart locket, then Shauna since it was given to her, then possibly Nat. Lottie was rescued before her card was up. The bear heart sacrifice saved her once, so she tries the blood from her hand sacrifice once she drew the Queen of Hearts. Misty was the Queen because she had the hairdo. was Van the Antler Queen? , was Taisa good or bad the AQ? pit Girl was also sacrificed because she had the locket when she was running and she heard the dripping foreshadowing her blood from her heart dripping out of her body as she is being dressed. Anymore heart imagery that I missed?
Yeah, Akilah only mentions says "Where did you find that queen". Not those queens.
I just hope there are answers this season. If it continues with mysteries only and no relief then it'll go Lost way which is not a good sign.

I agree that the queen means that person is the 'antler queen' but I don't really think it makes sense for that person to then become the sacrifice just cause there's so few people there they'd all be gone but one in a matter of a few months. It is an interesting thought, this theory. I just think the clues we've received imply that the queen card means you're the oracle, and then you are supposed to deliver a sacrifice. Lottie tried to sacrifice her own blood, asking that to be enough, like she knows she's supposed to give a life to the spirit or whatever. Also the whole 'a new queen kills all the other queens' thing could just relate back to her being the original queen and deciding who to kill, so she feels responsible for all the deaths cause she orchestrated the entire thing...idk you could be right tho who knows lol

For me, it was the therapy scene that brought the theory to my mind, seeing both Nat and Lottie depicted as the AQ and clearly terrified of the idea. It makes me a tad worried for both of them, after all just because they survived the wilderness doesn't mean they're off the hook in the real world (cue thunder and "dun duuunn" noises)
It kind of makes more sense to me that instead of the person that gets the queen card having to be the sacrifice that they are actually having to pick someone and perform the sacrifice. And pit girl seems more like she didn’t know they picked her.
That’s actually my same theory based on what Lottie said about the bees eating the queen to save the colony.
I think the "Antler Queen" is actually Baissa ( Bad Taissa ).
Since we know one of the seven members of Team Cannibalism is Misty it makes since the other six would be Lottie, Natalie, Shauna, Taissa, Van, and one other character.
With the two pilots, the flight crew, Bill Martinez, Rachel, Laura, Jackie, Courtney/Kristen, and Travis dead that leaves just Akilah, Gen, Mari, Melissa, YJ2, Travis, Javi, and Coach Ben to be the seventh member, pit girl, or the next meal for the group.
The one other character has to be Travis. Then it would just be one other character we don't know about...there were 8 of them.

@@charmedoriginal5923 if you watch the end of episode 1 when Misty lifts her mask you'll see that the antler queen walks behind her. Another person follows the AQ behind her. Then Misty starts to walk behind them and five others follow. It's 8.
It's why I think the seance matters when Javi asked if they would all die and they argued if it was an infinity symbol or the number 8. There will be 8 survivors.
I literally just rewatched this yesterday and realized that it was closed captioned as “calling” not just howling and it totally looks like she knows the pit is there and runs in on purpose

Knowing that the antlers was an ORACLE and not a QUEEN is really important. I'm glad the cast and writers decided to clear this up
I wonder if the Antler Queen is the one who is deemed safe for that round. They don't have to pull a card. Much like the immunity idol in Survivor, that person will NOT be eaten that time around. As a result, they have to abstain from the feast while they are immune.

I think it’s just Lottie. She’s the oracle. We’ve already seen that some of the girls don’t even sniff without getting a head nod from Lottie already. Adults Lotties reaction to seeing the shadow is her fearing the things she done/got others to do and who see became as the oracle. She fears becoming that again or it taking over her. She fears the queen card because I do think that’s used to pick the sacrifice and I think it was Lottie’s idea as she becomes the oracle and she fears it as an adult because it reminds her she killed and ate people and she is or feels responsible for the deaths. The oracle could be a legitimate supernatural element that takes over Lottie. Or it could be her history of mental health problems running unchecked and unmedicated. I think Lottie’s scared that it’s not just in her mind but it’s really a tangible entity
For the longest time Lottie was the ONLY option imo but I feel like it’s far too obvious but at the same time I don’t know who else it can really be.

What if we were shown the pitgirl/feast scenes out of order?
What if the scene around the fire took place first, with the last of the meat stockpile being eaten to give them energy for the hunt, then they strip the Antler Queen robes off her and chase her.
Notice how the pit girl scene takes place in the daytime but looks like early morning by the quality of the light (I don't buy the theory that the nightgown is what she was sleeping in, way too cold, it's ceremonial, I bet under the hair robe is the nightgown.)
But the scene around the fire ends with them leaving in early morning light.
Suppose they exit the fire circle and THEN the hunt begins, ending with the bleeding out scene and Misty smirking.
That would fit with your observation of the AQ not eating and seeming quite formal (she's terrified!)
Okay Ash and YJ fans, I have another theory for you all. Why are they wearing the animal skins and pelts instead of normal clothes in the Pit Girl scenes? I believe that the cabin will burn down at the end of season 3 and they will lose most of their clothes. This will fuel their final descent into madness and the only remaining shelter to live in will be the wreckage of the plane. Watch the end of the Pit Girl Buffet scene again and you will see that they are on a hill just above the plane, which is way far away from the cabin. Why would they go that far from the cabin to have their little cannibal ceremony?

I think the the antler queen is more of a spirit type essence that possesses the body of the person who draws the queen of hearts and with that the do terrible things. I could also see it as being the spirit of Jackie who is seeking revenge on everyone but javi who is basically the only innocent person when it comes to her death. I just wish they would answer how far into the paranormal we are actually going and how much is the more coping of real life trauma.
This has been my theory about drawing the Queen card except they don’t have time to fatten them up

Your theory is plausible, the cards are clearly involved. Sounds like Javi only brought back one queen card though, not all four. I think that maybe whoever is AQ in the ritual is also drugged with the magic mushrooms. If you look at Nat's eyes when she is in the AQ outfit in the plane nightmare, her eyes are totally black like Shauna's were on Doomcoming when they were assaulting Travis in the cabin. The cards, the outfits, the mushrooms, the fire, the position the girls are seated in all seems very ritualistic. But the details are still somewhat beyond our reach...

I don’t think anyone would just sit there and let themselves be killed and eaten and chill while everyone eats before then. I could see someone drawing the Queen card and being targeted as the prey though. In the season promo we see Mari screaming and running backward. She’s also been hearing a dripping noise. In flashbacks we see a girl hung upside down with dark hair dripping blood. In the season promo we also see the girls charging through the woods with weapons screaming. I could see Mari pulling the Queen card and running away, being hunted by the group. She might be the one they’re carrying in the promo too. There are a lot of players left and we don’t see a lot of them in present day or rescue scene. If they died it means they were hunted more frequently.
This definitely changed my perspective on some things! For example, I thought the girl running in the pilot was running away from something/someone, but looking at it now, you can see her take a beat and clench her fists, kinda like she’s gearing up to jump into the spikey pit. 3:00 it lines up with your sacrifice theory!! also, great video!!
Totally the same concept as I thought is possible. Using the cards makes sense and rotating the queen does too.

Something you got me thinking about was the antler queen & queen card - I feel like the theory you shared definitely holds water, but a variation of that could be that whoever draws the queen card, and subsequently takes on the role of the antler queen, must choose the sacrifice and therefore foregoes joining in on the eating? maybe as some twisted way to attempt to stave off the barbaric nature of the horrifying situation they all have found themselves in… like if you’re not the one eating them maybe you can somehow soothe your psyche about having had to choose them to die? -

If this theory is correct, then my guess is that lottie drew the card last, and then they were saved before the others were able to suprise attack lottie. 🤷
Maybe but Natalie did something that helped them get rescued too. Maybe Natalie was "The Oracle" when they were out there for the last time and a couple definitions for the word "oracle" is:
a person (such as a priestess of ancient Greece) through whom a deity is believed to speak.
a person giving wise or authoritative decisions or opinions.
Maybe she made a decision that actually got them rescued when she was the oracle and everyone followed her whether they disagreed or not because she was deemed the "wise one" at the time.

I think another point in favor of this theory is the Season 1 cover - where the Antler Queen is reflected in Jackie's eye, implying that the AQ/Oracle is possibly an omen of death, since Jackie never directly interacted with the oracle as seen in the poster. Yes, Lottie put the antlers on but it wasn't with the whole veil/robe which is what is shown in Jackie's eye on the poster. (Maybe I am reading too much into the promotional material, haha). As mentioned in another comment, Jackie was the first AQ/Oracle.

I really like this theory! I feel like it makes sense too with the way they chased "the stag" in doomcoming. Like giving someone antlers could easily go along with hunting them.
I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that they took turns being "Antler Queen".. perhaps they had to make a sacrifice in order to call themselves "Queen"? 🤔
great theory. What i don't understand, though, is how they get from where there are now--mid season 2--to this place where they don animal clothes and masks and adopt bizarre rituals. Who among them would think this stuff up and why would anyone agree to it? The show is still young and we will see this transition develop slowly I suppose. But right now they are still a bunch of young kids and though they may be influenced by Lottie's spiritualism, they have such a ways to go before they would be here. And some, like Shauna and Nat--i can't imagine ever getting to this terrifying place.
The clothing would definitely be for warmth. It's said that masks help people cope with something that you might not want to normally think of yourself doing...like hunting and murdering your fellow teammates maybe. They wear the masks not only for warmth but to give them a sort of comfort that it wasn't "me" doing those horrible things. It was someone else. Or whatever they have to tell themselves to cope.
IDK, I think the Antler Queen is whoever gets the kill during the hunt. It's not just one person but whoever survived probably was the Antler Queen/King at one point. The person that will be hunted down wears Jackie's necklace because Jackie was the first yellowjacket to be eaten by the group and even though they didn't kill her, they believe in spirit Jackie wanted them to eat her and that necklace symbolizes the mark of the sacrifice.
The very first scene has someone running away from the Antler Queen. I am unsure if it’s a dream or a murder. The Queen is wearing red Converse shoes. I can’t remember anyone wearing red converse however.
That person always looked liked Taissa’s stature. I thought they were pink but I too have been looking at everyone’s feet. That pilot was filmed a year before the rest of the season. With the exception of Samantha “young Misty” those could all be different actresses. Clearly pit girl is not a series regular. It’s fun trying to guess though.
The trailer for episode 8 really makes me think this theory is going to be a reality!

I'm starting to think....the Queen card means YOU ARE the Antler Queen. You perside over the feast....you pick who is to be chosen.
Some part of me really wonders if the queen of hearts refers to the bear heart Lottie sacrificed. Season one Shawna and Tiessa say they all owe Nat their lives. After seeing Nat in the flashback as "The Antler Queen" makes me wonder if she didn't play some version of Russian roulette with her friends. But also, what about Javi's "friend". Was sending the card back with Javi some kind of message. Is the Queen this ominous being that's kept Javi alive. Will she decide their fates. I love this show so much I honestly can not wait until Friday ❤
I also just want to point out Shauna's obsession with rabbits I think that might make her the rabbit of the animal group
I think picking the queen card doesn't lead to being the "sacrifice" actually quite the opposite i think whoever draws queen card gets to decide who will be eaten. Cause it doesn't make sense that the one to be sacrificed aka. the antler queen based on this theory would not sit in a camp fire all resigned. Also we know that the girls will be divided into two groups, so the lottie worshipers (Let's say group A) wouldn't sacrifice within their group first. So whoever is the AQ that week (or monthly based on the period between drawing of queen cards), gets to decide who to hunt from group B. But i seriously don't know and i also think maybe there's something to be discussed with Jackie's necklace as well, it is not random at all.
Lottie saw the queen card after Natalie arrived to the compound. It all came rushing back, a, no matter how you flip it you can't run or drink kavakava to escape from your past.

Ok, I think I just cracked something. We have distinct times/worlds emerging. 1. A world where they didn’t crash. Ben’s flashbacks/hallucinations/visions? And the way Van distinguished between her “past” that remembers/celebrates (I forget the word she used) when they “thought they could be happy” more to come ? 2. Nat’s vision of them all dying. 3. The cabin; purgatory? Is it a world between life/death? A fairy time or like the Schrödinger's cat experiment? Is the cabin timeline a dying vision, like Shauna’s when her baby survives, of the team after the crash? None of this satisfactorily accounts for the present timeline though. .. but I think I may be onto something. I also don’t read a lot of comments so may be late to the party 🤷🏻♀️
In regards to the queen card I think the forest spirits/AQ will make the other 3 cards magically appear in the deck for whomever the spirit chooses. It’s not just random it’ll be “destiny” in regards to the religious aspect I think.

I agree that the queen card will chose who’s the next sacrifice. But I’m starting to think that the “Antler Queen” is actually a force, “a god”, that eventually shows itself to the girls in “human form”. rewatching everything thrice, I keep noticing how the being that takes the place of the “Antler Queen” seems to be “”bigger/taller” than the girls. It would make sense if the “god” didn’t eat and just stood by and watched.
I wonder if they are having Misti make/serve the meat because she adds the mushrooms that were accidentally added to the soup in “Doomcoming.” That way they can kind of disassociate from what they are actually doing. When you think about it, it is very similar to the way they were hunting Travis….
Ok, I'm on board this theory. So you draw the card, the oracle spirit/antler queen possesses you (if this is supernatural and not hallucinations) and possesses you for the next like month or so. You don't eat because you don't feel hungry because you are possessed. At the end of the month, you walk out to the woods, the next person draws the queen card, the spirit leaves your body and enters the new antler queen's body. That would explain the disorientation the pit girl shows.
Lotti was the last one to draw the card but they were rescued before her time was up. That's why she saw the queen card in her vision and saw the spirit's shadow on the floor.
This could also be explained in a non supernatural way, Lotti has schizophrenia and has visions when her medication isn't working or is out. The could have started drugging the "antler queen" in the forest until it was time for them to be "pit girl".
This is my new theory until it's proven false. I'm thinking this is pretty solid though.

If the antler queen was the one being sacrificed, wouldn’t the group actually want her to eat so they’re healthy and fed for the group to “get the most” of the sacrifice?

It makes sense why Lottie is so scared when she sees the shadow of the antler queen. So technically she is the antler queen but any of them could be. I actually heard the actress who plays adult Tai say this in an interview, “ any of them could be anger queen “ I thought it was a strange choice of words but it’s all making sense now

Early in the series, before they eat anyone, they say that the deck has no queens. It only seems to have queens when they're doing a hunt.
If you go back in my videos, it’s the episode where Van tries to talk to Javi. I pointed out there is a very, very subtle background line you can barely hear where Akilah asks Javi ‘where did you get this Queen card Javi?’ So Javi brought/got the queen card from somewhere!

As hard as these women have worked to suppress everything related to "the wilderness" they just show up at Lottie's compound and immediately go "Lord of the Flies" around the campfire? Hi Ash, love your reviews and theories, but I actually have a theory about pit girl. I don´t think it´s one of them, I don´t think thats in the past, I think it´s in the future, just like the scene of them eating. It´s on actual days, them meeting for a kind of ritual nowadays And Misty taking off her mask and being young, it´s just Nat on Lottie´s lap. Pit girl could be Lisa, I just don´t think It´s Mari, just too obvious.
I think pit girl is Callie and they kill her bc she knows too much about Shauna murdering Adam

I think the antler queen is chosen to preform the ceremony, and maybe even choosing who has to be sacrificed.
Maybe Nat being slated as the next to die gives her the motivation she needs to go find help - this time the map somehow points her in the right direction. That’s why they all wouldn’t be here if not for her.
i heard somewhere (wish i could cite them) where picking the queen card could mean that you have to pick who is gonna get hunted down next, which is just as traumatizing bc that’s a lot to put on someone. i also don’t know if i should believe it bc then how did no one pick misty?? they all dislike her so if that were the case she might be the first one to go, unless she does something where she makes sure to always pick the queen card (bc she’s a genius like that). many questions but its a great theory!
Or Misty, being the medic, is considered too valuable to sacrifice. They don't have to like her to need her.
The only thing I’ve got that questions your antler queen theory is the quick flash scene of Nat underneath the veil. Instead, I think when the card is pulled, you are the one who chooses the next person to sacrifice?
The sweater on Nat’s present day head with the antlers from her vision looks similar to Lisa’s cardigan but I don’t think it is actually the same one. Lisas cardigan looks more loosely stitched lol
Was it 7 or 8 people around the fire, with the Antler Queen... I do think there is something to the Antler Queen. I do not think it is something good, because I think they are ALL being haunted by "her"...Maybe more so by Lottie...if you are right, maybe it was Lotties idea, and that is why she is seeing it more than the others.
I don’t know if it’s coincidence or a clue but Lottie appears to be wearing the pink converse in the clip for eps 6. When she’s wearing the blue dress, turns around and walks down the stairs.

Did anyone notice the AQ walking behind Misty, with the hair on her outfit etc. looks totally pregnant? Of course not Shauna, too far in the future for that, but who ever that is, has her arms to her sides and looks preggers.
As far as the Q of hearts having anything to do with the AQ. We need to factor in what you said. It's the fans that came up with that term. So connecting the two, Queen to Queen could be totally unrelated. But of course, maybe not.
Also Javi is asked where he found a card, not cards. many people are suggesting he has returned with all the queens. For you it was probably a slip of the tongue but also said Queens.
