As someone who has a masters in psychology, I can pretty confidently say that a therapist would not be telling lottie to embrace her delusions in the way that the therapist did in episode 4. I think it is very cut and dry that the replacement therapist is somehow tied to what happened in the wilderness and that her showing up during a time that Lottie is having more frequent symptoms is not a coincidence- someone is trying to push Lottie fully over that edge. Besides, we never saw her actual therapist in the show so there is no reason they would need to highlight the fact that this is a new therapist.
Could the therapist have been a vision from Lottie? Like all in her head?
@@amandaanstett6973 yes! I thought could be possible as well, like her mind’s way of coping with her increasing symptoms and making her feel better about descending further in to delusion
OMG, Thank you!!! I've heard therapists and psychologists say "it's just chemicals and things firing in your brain" to other descriptors about why she would be seeing things and ask about changes in life, mood, eating, drinking, sleep, etc., but never have I ever heard/seen a "Well, what do you think it means?" because nightmares and hallucinations can be very scary.
@@marissa434 Yep, my exact thoughts. Especially since she came days early.
As a person who spent most of life in therapy I actually thought the same thing.
Can't wait to find out how Javi survived for 2 months and what the dripping sound is all about
The dripping Mari hears is foreshadowing because she is the pit girl.
I am curious as well. He seems to be surviving on the periphery of the group, especially with their food missing and him running away from them. I am so curious.
He was stealing thier bear meat duh
And shitting in their piss bucket frfr
@@ango8466 that's what came to my mind too
I believe that it’s foreshadowing when Mari made that crazy spike crib mobile for the baby; I believe it symbolizes the dripping from whoever gets those spikes; Mari is becoming so hateful; I believe she is “PIT GIRL” at least the 1st one and, I believe that's why Mari is the only one hearing the dripping sounds...it's the sound she is going to make on those spikes.
For real. I think she's hearing the dripping of her own blood when she strung up in that tree
I agree. The spikes or tree, or both😮.
i think it’s a little bit of a reach because how would the blood dripping down wooden spikes make a dripping sound??
@@notamberp Lol, have you ever field-dressed a deer? They're hung up by their hindquarters then sliced down the middle of their torso, the blood collects in a puddle underneath the carcass. It's called "bleeding the deer". If those drops are hitting a ground frozen in solid ice it will def make a dripping sound.
@@christinerobbins9376 , Thanks for explaining in all the graphic details, much appreciated. .
I’m surprised Misty looked up Walter but didn’t do much research at all cause she didn’t know anything about him…like you’d think she’d know about the lawsuit thing with the metal plate in his head
Or that never happened at all
Settlements w/ NDA's can be amazing if it is true w/ a large company.
So sus on walter!!
I don't trust Walter !
@@jaymehoughton5148 where did Walter come from?
Laura Lee dressed as Alice is a great observation, I didn't notice that at all. With the Queen of Hearts card and Lotti going down a dreamy "rabbit hole", I have to rewatch this episode with Wonderland in mind.
And they’re all sitting around the table like the mad hatter and the door mouse having tea
Oooh and instead of a white rabbit there's a white moose!
I believe there is more than one Queen, and the Queens do change. Jackie was the first so-called queen until Lottie dethroned Jackie in Season 1 - Lottie to Jackie "You are not needed anymore" - Lottie to Jackie (Season 1 Doomcoming). then there is Taiissa (Her alter ego), Queen 2; Then I believe Nat (White Caribou (Stag - A tremendous change is coming): Nat's comment to Travis, "You know there are no Queens in that deck"(of cards) - Season 1. Lottie mentions this season that when a new Queen is born, she has to kill all of the other Queens, or they all will starve. Four queens in a deck of cards. Thanks for your time.
thanks for your thoughts
Excellent theory. I have been thinking for a while that the position of the antler queen is interchangeable. I think all of the positions are interchangeable because that shot of Shauna with the platter, reminded me that Misty eventually becomes the "server" ( in the final scene of the first episode of the series). Shauna is also the first one to give the first "okay" to eat a teammate... not quite the antler Queen's nod but still reminiscent of giving the signal to begin.
It took me forever to realize the veil of the antler queen is a soccer ⚽ net!!😅😅😅
I think Lottie seeing the card is her thinking someone needs to be sacrificed…she sacrificed her own blood and said let that be enough, which to me sounds like she thinks the the wilderness or whatever wants blood hence ‘he wants blood’ in French being said, which is all hallucinations might i add, and she gave some of her own blood in hopes of appeasing ‘him’ but it probably won’t be enough…it sounds kind of like a certain type of OCD where you believe you have to do something or like everyone you know will die or some shit, not that I think that’s happening it just reminded me of it, but i definitely think it could just be the schizophrenia…and what her psychiatrist said was really weird cause i can’t think of a single doctor who would tell someone to give into their hallucinations or to find some deeper meaning in them cause some schizophrenics will literally think dead celebrities are talking to them and telling them to do things and that has nothing to do with a deeper meaning 😂
Nat; it's funny how every time you try to help someone things end up bad
Lottie; I asked him to call you but he said you make things so much worse
... I sure as hell believing Nat over Lottie 😄
If Travis really did write that note about "telling Nat she was right"... I'm thinking he was finally admitting that Natalie was correct in her assumption that Lottie was full of s***. 😄 of course, it could be that Lottie wrote that note just to f*** with Nat. It wasn't long after she tells adult Nat these words that Natalie decides to stay at the compound
She most likely hallucinated the doctor’s visit. 1) No psych is going to leave a years or decades long high profile client/patient without letting them know that they are retiring, switching careers, or “taking a sabbatical.” 2) No psych would have told Lottie what this one said regarding the “visions.” 3) The hexagon wall shelving PLUS the flower artwork nearby on the wall. The hexagon shelf by itself could be nothing - I have hexagons all over my walls for specific art pieces, after - but the flower artwork being near the hexagon wall shelves combined with the bad advice about the visions tells me that the scene did not actually occur.
I think her hallucinations or at least some of them are real tho, like she’s clairvoyance
@@thoseradstars you nailed it!
I theorize that they’re leading us to believe Ben is one of the next to go, but actually quite the opposite is going to happen. The visions he’s having are very detailed and emphasize how badly he wants to escape and live truthfully. Speaking of the book he’s reading, I think it’s going to play a role in him actually flipping the script and begin manipulating the others there with mind games. He’s showed a bit of retaliation to Mari and I think that’s only going to grow from there and further complicate the group dynamic. He seems to be gaining some strength and motivation back as well. The antlers behind his head have to mean something as well. I could be dead wrong but idk 😂 the visions just seem to have too much of a focus not to point at something coming
That would be such a great twist!
I saw a theory that they are highlighting the ben “flashbacks” because his ex is going to be either someone who helps them get found or he is the person who wrote the book about the yellowjackets that Adam had
I swear I feel like the Antler Crown is passed from person to person, It shifts as the "spirit/wilderness" slips from one to the other. It reinds me of that old Denzel Washington movie "Fallen" lol. It could also be that French Canadian guy (that they told us we would find out more about this season) who died in the cabin. It's yellowjackets so, who knows 🤷♀️😄
@marissa434 the girl who got her leg broke and didn't go on the plane is the one who wrote the book
@@summerloveleigh Ally, yea. I just did not catch that the book Adam had in his drawer (that Shauna saw) was written by her. "The Unauthorized Biography"
Guurl? How you gunna write a biography on an event you weren't present for. Starting to wish she HAD been in that flight. She def would have been pit girl 😄🤣
Absolutely, it is highly unlikely that someone as intelligent and well-versed as Walter would have carelessly made the mistake of saying that Misty was a YellowJacket "30 years ago." He has certainly done his homework, judging from all the time it would have taken to put a briefcase full of show tunes onto cassette tapes. I, too, would like to know what his ultimate motivation is for involving himself with Misty.
I think he just said "that was like 30 years ago" to purposely sound like he didn't really know and it wasn't that important. I don't think the actual "30 years" has any significance.
Misty has a Queen of Hearts hairdo around the “mall table”
This could be a stretch but maybe there is a similarity between wherever Javi was and the story of Persephone kidnapped by Hades, especially w all the references to eating vs not eating (Jackie drinking hot chocolate and Lottie almost eating in the “mall”) in the afterlife/limbo Persephone ate 7 seeds trapping her for 7 months maybe Javi did something similar wherever he went allowing him to return but only temporarily? Love your videos thanks for making them! 😀
but he literally ran away, so he didn’t want them to see him, so i don’t think that’s it
I have a theory that the reason javi looked so scared and was acting weird when he came into the cabin is bc I think he saw them eating Jackie. Maybe he’s been watching them and that might also be why when he saw van and tai in the woods, he ran from them. Maybe he even saw the events of the day the day after doom-coming and saw them kick Jackie out and saw her die. He was probably scared of them and stayed away.
I did not even think about that💀
This could be a potential spoiler. In an interview with Sophie Nelisse and Melanie Lynsky, they essentially get asked “could you be mean if you had to?” Sophie says that Melanie is really nice and if they “drew her card”, they’d refuse to kill her anyways. I think this could mean that they use a deck of cards to pick which girl will be sacrificed. Lottie seeing the queen of hearts could be even more significant since Natalie says there’s no queens in the deck left in the cabin in season 1. This could mean that (assuming Lottie is the antler queen) Lottie was basically safe from being picked to kill. Her seeing the queen of hearts might mean that the wilderness is coming back to finally claim her too.
I think it's more like Lottie kept the one Queen card and whoever draws it is the next Hunted
Javi brought the queen card when he came back, gave it to Akilah; don’t know the exact minute but there is a scene where in the back for a second or two, Akilah’s voice is heard asking “Javi, where’d you get this queen card?“ or sth
@@naegne ooooo! I totally missed that 😱
So "Javi's Friend" maybe gave it to him? I think sleepwalking Tai might be this friend (she knew exactly how to find him) and I think Lottie is "whispering weird sh*t" (in Shauna's words, lol) to sleepwalking Tai, as well. I think this is how Lottie knew Javi was alive. Through Tai.
I just want to say, there are a number of channels by men that get their Yellowjackets recaps out pretty quickly but they don't feel like they're done by real true Fellowjackets like over at Reddit. Your videos feel like the ones I actually want to watch, like real thought is put into them so thank you.
You could just say other channels. No need to be sexist lol
@@cartman2847 tell that to men 🥰

Thank you Nina! I really love the show so that means a lot! I am very lucky because CZcams is a hobby for me so I only cover what I really
want, of course I love when the videos get views and people enjoy them, but I have fun either way when I cover what I like!
Someone from Reddit made the reference to the 90’s mall table scene had resemblance the tea party in Alice in Wonderland.
Makes sense with the over-the-top hairstyles the girls are sporting in that scene
Regarding Moriarty - Sherlock was his only intellectual equal. To say looking for his Watson would be to indicate one was beneath the other.
Yeah I feel like there's a lot more nuance to that comment than them being enemies. By a lot of readings and interpretations, the two practically loved each other because they were the only equals they saw, so I feel like while Walter might not be a Yellowjackets conspiracist, I think he is obsessed with Misty
And personally I think Walter is more likely connected to Jessica Roberts than Adam. We know that Ty went to Jessica's apartment and got Vans address in the current timeline which leads me to believe that Jessica has an entire dossier on the entire team. Jessica was a private detective. Walter is Mr. "I put the sic in forensics" guy. I could very easily see him being Jessica's forensic guy. And if she was studying up on the team then I'm sure there were bits of info about Adam. Shauna literally got into the car crash with Adam on the day that Jessica visited her, I believe. And the last time we see Misty and Jessica together is in the very last episode of last season and no one has mentioned her until Tai takes her car. So, the police already knocking on Shauna's door about Adam but no one has mentioned Miss Roberts?... it would also explain how Walter knows so much about Misty. And Adam. That's just my crackpot Theory feel free to roast me 😄🙏
I still do not believe that Adam was just some random dude...He may also be connected to both Walter and Jessica. Jessica had already found out none of the girls were willing to talk, even for a substantial amount of money. So, the three of them may have been working in tandem to take a different approach to see what they could get out of the girls. And Tai "hired" her. But that doesn't mean Tai was her only client. She could have been working for Ty's competition, also.
Maybe Walter was Jessica Robert's Hacker ad he knows Misty was the last person she visited?
@@blackdandelion5549 oooooo.....that's good!
This makes complete sense actually. Especially since they focus on her in recaps so much still.
@@blackdandelion5549 In the sense of hacking Jessica, or being a hacker employed by Jessica?
The tree symbol is tilted for a reason: the line through the “girl” is horizontal, representing the ground, so the circle with the triangle starts above ground, and the hook is below ground. Maybe the circle is like a sun, and the triangle through it represents light rays? Anyway, I think Javi was underground in some sort of mining/cave area. While he was running from drugged Shauna, maybe he fell in a hole and couldn’t get out. Maybe there are other versions of each character underground, like in “Us” by Jordan Peele? Not sure how exactly he survived there but that’s the best theory I have
I think Misty pushed Crystal because she didn't react well to Misty telling her her 'secret - that she destroyed the black box
Misty turning on her closest friend and murdering her would not surprise me much 😂
Dinner Tonight!!!
@@ThiccChickCrisha unless she fell in the moose water
I don't think Crystal would have a problem with it seeing how she was happy to tell Misty about how she absorbed her twin and how much she liked eating Jackie, lol ... but I could see it being a case of them playing the card game to see who gets to go "collect the snow for water" and Crystal getting the low card, and then telling Misty; " no you go down there and get it or I'll tell everyone what you did." Annnd, then good 'ole reliable Misty will push her off of the cliff. 😄
The theme song too is physically getting more eerie, like a messed up tape too.
This was the first time they used the version recorded by Alanis Morrissette, so that's why it sounded different.
You should make a video explaining what guesses you got right/wrong when the whole season is over :)
I definitely will!
Idk if anyone mentioned it yet but I feel like "Trainspotting" being listed behind Van at the end of the episode is foreshadowing what will happen to Shauna's baby. (its not good)
My leading theory is that, in EP 6, the baby is born with minimal complications and everything seems fine.
Everyone goes to sleep for the night and they leave the baby in it's little crib, made in EP 3.
Shauna wakes up first, only to find that the baby stopped breathing in it's sleep and died (cue the performance that will win Sophie Nelise an Emmy)
Could even go alittle darker with it and have it be revealed that Misty or Lottie or dark Tai or, hell, even Shauna while she was hallucinating, but someone, had actually smothered the baby, in a "it's goons die anyway, this is a mercy" type way.
Then they bury it. Or cremated it, for really really reals this time,
NO BABY CANNIBALISM!!!
Damn, that baby scene in Trainspotting was so so dark and awful. 😢 I do hope the baby isn't sacrificed or eaten. I hope he survives and is put up for adoption post rescue but I don't think that will happen.
@@suzybearheart530 how the hell is that baby gonnna survive lol come on
I want to see what's in adult Lottie's cabinet
Interesting about Walter saying it was thirty years ago, I didn't really think anything of that. Simply because I thought it was the normal thing how people usually round up or exaggerate a number from a long time ago. Since time can start to blend together, especially as an adult. When the birds dropped out of nowhere I kept thinking it felt like Hunger Games and perhaps they are being watched by someone or something. That it was dropping off food for them because it gave them entertainment/something to study. I knew Javi was alive because his being dropped in would be the perfect OMG moment to confuse everyone. He was probably kept somewhere and taken care of. Since he looks well taken care of and disconnected with everything. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben having a disconnect with reality kills one of the girls, and so the girls in turn kill him.
the birds were not dropped off food lol they’re not going to pull a wilds, 100%
@@notamberp I not saying they are, it's just what they reminded me of. Like they are under observation by something or someone.
I watched the bts making of the moose scene, with Nat. Incredible how they pulled that off. The writers of the show have definitely brought their A game.👏
I love that the writers have thrown so much on us that everyone forgot one of the big questions of the show so far: *Who is the 8th Yellowjacket that got out?*
I believe that when it's shown, that revelation is going to pull the rug from under out feet.
In fact, I'll put my prediction right now. It's Mari; cause we all so sure that she's "Pit Girl" that when it's revealed she got out, it's gonna blow our minds
Walter throwing off the year span is nothing more than him asserting that he’s not a fan. He just “doesn’t pay attention to any of that Yellowjackets stuff” but he’s totally disingenuous.
Also, Travis not reacting appropriately makes sense because 1. He had renounced Javi for believing he was dead 2. Javi didn’t react to anything so Travis noticed it. You can tell he’s reacting to Javi just standing there saying nothing
Also, BOUND isn’t just the story of two women 😂 It’s the story of how they try to take already stolen money from a bad guy who has them hostage and well… bound. Then they start noticing each other and get into some girl on girl fun while they’re at it because being bound is the perfect time to fall in love? Written by The Wachowskis. Fun movie indeed.
maybe what happened to javi is a case of Missing 411, where someone dissapears without a trace in the wilderness and shows up weeks or months later miles away from where they dissapeared originally with no recollection of how they got there, this are real cases and goes hand in hand with all the supernatural stuff going on in the show.
The Queen of Hearts card- the eyes are scratched out. How is that connected to the "no eyes man"? Also side note at the mention of Laura Lee - it the girls made a pact to never speak about what happened in the wilderness once they were rescued- that means the families of those who are dead have no idea what happened to their loved ones? I not just talking about the ritualistic murders, but also like Laura Lees explosion, Jackies sleep death, those who died in the crash. Are they just silent about all of it? I guess they would have to be. But you'd think those families would fight them on that. Espcially Jackies family who have embraced Shauna (although very nasty to her)- you'd think they would demand to know what happened to her. Or maybe they did pick and choose what to acknowledge and probably fabricated some facts.
I thought Walter might be Adams brother, but I don't think he would draw it out that long. I DO still think he's a serial killer...
And so is Misty.
melanie lynskey said whatever happens next is so terrible and haunting that she cried after reading it and thinks of it often :///
Elijah wood is the "missing therapist" 😮
A friend and I were once again theorizing that Adam actually was adult Javi, only he himself may not have even known/ remembered the past. And we think something mysterious happened to him in the underground or wherever he's been. Maybe he's even a doppelgänger, like they did with Agent Cooper in Twin Peaks.
Am I the only one who saw eyes carved into the trees the girl in the chase scene run past in episode 1, season 1? The man with no eyes, the queen of hearts, the tree eyes, the eyes drawn by Sammy... creepier than the symbol imo.
Even though Tai's grandma was the one to see the man with no eyes I believe he is tied to Tai in some way. The only time grandma saw him was when Tai was in the room. Sammy sees him when Tai is in her other state of mind.
Im starting to think that the symbol is a map and it has to do with trigonometry. They’ve mentioned trigonometry way too many times. In the very first episode of the series the elderly former trig teacher, the third episode Laura Lee mentions trig class when they’re praying over the dead, Callie mentions having to do her trig homework in another episode….
So I googled trigonometry diagrams and the triangles and circles look very similar to the symbol.
Thanks Ash for your review. It's less difficult for me to understand each episode😊.
And I have no theories 😂
So many juicy details! Thanks!
I love your Yellow jacket videos they’re just as fun as the episode itself - my routine is watch yellow jackets then watch your videos to get the full experience
Thank you so much love!
I believe that the young Misty’s new BFF who also loves theater and show-tunes is her imaginary friend.
Maybe Walter is working with the cops to catch Shauna and that's why he seems so suspicious of Misty and why he has access to information through his "hacking" skills
Or, he is playing super-sleuth to find out what really happened with the Yellowjackets in the wilderness.
An interesting thought I had was about a psychological term called 'magical thinking ', which is quite often associated with a malcoping trauma , where an individual feels that if they do something (example knock three times on every door prior to entry) they can affect an outcome. It can often be a way to garner a sense of control in viotile environments but also places guilt on the individual if the outcome is not the one desired. It can lead to OCD or delusional thinking. I don't agree with the majority of responses in respect to the physiotherapist. I did not take what she was communicating to Lottie was to give into the visions, but to have Lottie contemplate WHY she was having the visions. It runs parallel to the conversation with Lisa and her mother. Do we identify and confront? Or do we numb and suppress? Lisa is confronting her depression and allowing herself to feel it so she can develop a routine without the numbing effects of medication, where as Lottie is purposely trying to numb and ignore her feelings and thoughts. Hiding from the trauma she thought she had put to rest but was most likely reopened with the death of Travis. The vision of Laura Lee brought up long repressed guilt and fear and Lottie is doing her best to hide from it. Yellowjackets loves to keep us guessing and connecting two separate truths to a particular event, the duel sided nature of life. I think magical thinking could be a double entandra with it being both psychological as well as supernatural, i.e., magical.
Also... Lottie's whole little speech to adult Nat about how the Queen Bees sting the other queens to death makes me think whoever draws the Queen is the next victim. We've been focusing on that heart pendant which also might be connected to whoever gets hunted next, but the Queen card definitely seems like a bad omen.
The heart pendant also belonged to the first killed queen, Jackie. And the card is queen of hearts.
@@juliannjohnson1162 ooohhhh, great point!! (About Jackie being the first queen and it being her pendant) I mean I guess technically they didn't kill Jackie , lol, but they made up for it by eating her 😄)
I honestly don't know which one would be worse, lol.
I have this theory that tai had delusions and problems sleepwalking before she got into the crash. When the team crashed tai was still sleep walking, and a symptom of sleep walking is eating dirt. Being that she is stranded in the wilderness once she consumes that dirt, the darkness is inside her, and this is why they brought it back with them.
Now whenever tai sleepwalks, the darkness is released.
Good point about them making a point it isn't her regular therapist..and yes, she said some things that I feel a therapist would not say. While this is a show, what she said to Lottie felt wayyyy off. I don't remember the exact words, but felt like she was feeding into Lottie's visions, which, a Mental health professional would not do. You don't encourage delusions/delusional behavior and give reality a backseat.
Sophie nelisse commented in an interview with Melanie lynsky about Melanie drawing a card and being “too nice to kill”
One of the designers said to watch out and follow who wears Mistys sweater this season
In the end Shauna's daughter will protect Shauna in the Adam investigation. Shauna may get away with it. Shauna may hurt Jeff since he also knows the truth about Shauna and what she did to Adam.
Callie is still talking to that cop so I think she’s gonna get them in trouble but I also think that cop might be the reason the whole case is thrown out cause he’s only really getting info from a MINOR by supplying her alcohol and continuing an inappropriate relationship with her and idk if he knows she’s 16 or not but it doesn’t really matter
@@brynniefresh9746Right. I just love how tv cops portray real cops: they commit several crimes in order to make an arrest.
so fucking gross 😢..
but I think Callie is DEFINITELY going to sell out Shauna and Jeff... She wasn't asking if she could help them cook at the end of last episode because she wanted to bond with them. I think she is going to he the nail in their coffin (without necessarily knowing that she is feeding information directly to the police) and they(Shauna and Jeff) are going to have to do something about it.
@@MaryJane-zw5pv yeah I agree I think she’s gonna fuck them over unintentionally cause she’s already been doing that but we know the cops show up at their house at some point and that’ll probably be because of shauna lmao
Awesome theories! I love the Alice in Wonderland link 👍 I had read the mercury poisoning theory and the Mad Hatter link, but didn’t notice Laura Lee dressed as Alice. Plus the Queen of Hearts, whose catchphrase is “Off with her head!” I’m sure that’s how they pick the cannibal sacrifices 👏👏👏
While You Were Sleeping is also when the bad Tai is doing her stuff - while the good Tai is sleeping/while everyone else is sleeping.
I'm thinking that Lottie's is imagining the therapist lol
The purple colour on the walls of the drs office struck me, along with the honeycomb
In season 1 Adam mentioned a catastrophic accident that he was involved in; i was reminded of it when Walter discussed his head injury because it felt parallel to Adam's story (like two parts of one story.)
I suspect that Walter had a similar obsession/fascination with Adam, as he does now with Misty and that Walter used his money to manipulate people into his web of lies, like Adam (through a law suit.) I actually think that Walter purposely caused his own accident to extort or manipulate Adam and keep him close to Walter (because what a perfect way to make someone feel indebted to Walter and get them to do things for him, than to fake an injury and frame Adam.)
Ok... There are two theories just to put them out there.
1. I think the surviving girls may have hiked out and left the other group (or surviving antler gueen) behind to die in the winter. I find the "wish you were here," "no return", and other left behind references to be a bit disturbing. It's possible the guilt they feel is not as much about cannibalism, but something even darker. I remember a scene from the movie Platoon (which has similar themes in some ways) and could see a similar scenario playing out here.
2. Shauna has arrested development. We know nothing about her home life other than her parents divorced. Would not be surprised to find out that her trauma started long before the crash.
There is really nothing darker than cannibalism in almost every culture.
@Beckett198 I disagree. Cannibalism is completely understandable in dire circumstances. I really don't find Jackie's body being consumed for survival to be that disturbing. There are many cultures who ate the vital organs of their lived ones after death as a way to keep them with the living. It is fairly mild compared to the idea of hunting down a human being and murdering them for food. THAT type of murder/cannibalism is violently horrific.
We have made some major assumptions about this show because they edited it that way. I don't think we are asking the right questions.
I love how much this series deals with mental health, grief, trauma nostalgia and the importance of exploring our shadow.
i wonder if there is an underground tunnel system, could the symbols on the trees possibly be markers to navigate the tunnels from above-ground? maybe tai was being led to all the different trees because that's where javi was underground?
probably not haha but just a thought
No actually that’s a really good theory
My wife Aretha and I watched this together while on vacation (I'm trying to convert her to your fold) and she had a theory... The being that Ty has visions of is Death. Death feels cheated that the group survived the plane crash. I love your videos, they are so well done. 💕
Love this theory! I've also seen people point out that whenever blood is spilled something good happens to the group before it gets worse again, such as Jackie being killed and then turning into a feast. Maybe Death is appeased by the violence, but won't stop following them until he 'gets what he's owed'
Felt like the psychiatrist was planted by someone who wants her to keep having visions. Possibly even her own cult.
Agreed!!
I still think there’s a chance Walter isn’t even real. We’ve never seen Misty operate alone. She doesn’t do well with “alone”. Him being essentially a male version of her seems telling
he literally meets nat 😂 it’s been in the promo before and it’s next week
but the scene with Walter interrogating Randy??
that could not have been Misty and Randy in some split personality because "they have known eachother since grade school"... then the entire scene would have been a total lie and Randy would have had to have been killed off by Misty in the "real" plot.
I like where your head is at, i think Misty and Walter are DEFINITELY shown to be one and and same and mirror eachother but I don't think he is a figment of her imagination.
@@MaryJane-zw5pv and we also see him interact with nat in the promo for next week…I think there’s a lot more to his character but he’s definitely real
@@brynniefresh9746 everyone says stuff like this and acts as if disassociation isn’t a narrative direction. A character can in fact be non existent and still interact with other characters and things, AS LONG as the non existent characters actions are also apart of the originators imagination.
@@AlphaJayCharlie why would they pull some stupid plot where this character is hallucinating a whole person when we haven’t seen her hallucinate at all…if she was hallucinating to that extent it would be schizophrenia bro like what purpose would that serve? I mean what about the scene with randy? it obviously wasn’t just Misty with him otherwise he would’ve just left coz he knows who she is aka not an FBI agent
LOVE THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY WEARING PURPLE! ^..^
I think that the queen card with her eyes crossed out is supposed to represent Lottie, as she latter seems to understand that it wanted more of her blood, but she couldn't just kill herself. Perhaps the deck not containing any queen cards could be an indication that Lottie was out of question when it came to be a victim. She already indicated that there could only be one queen (the whole yellow jackets thing).
Also I don't think Akilah will be one of the next victims, I think the mouse could be an indication of her "power to communicate with animals" as you mentioned in another video. I think maybe will get deeper into it in the next episodes.
Love ur recaps and theories! I actually feel like the more I watch the less I think Lottie is the antler queen. I also know the cast and production actually said “antler queen” was created by the audience so it was probably never meant for to be one girl. Also, when Shauna said “they” did something terrible out - meaning they all partake. Tbh, with Shauna’s lawlessness I call her the antler queen.
Young Lottie is acting like she is unsure about being thrust into a position of leadership as well.
I think it's Other Tai
@@lailasantos6243 that’s actually my other theory too. The Tai is already a leader and other Tai is very much connected to the wilderness
It makes sense and it's not as obvious as Lottie could be
I don’t think Crystal is real . I feel like Misty imagined her.
this is exactly why I don't watch trailers - the Misty/Crystal cliff situation was a complete shock to me. so good
Thanks for bringing up Alice in Wonderland reference. I was just going to mention the Queen of Hearts!
If you guys look back at episode 1 from season 1 Natalie said she lost her purpose when they returned from the wild. She then went in search of travis which seemed to be her purpose at the time as she mentioned to her therapy group that they helped h with find a new purpose but then travis died. So she lost her purpose again. And tried to unalive her self. When lotties cult took her and she had that dream that seemed like a vision from a near to death experience. Remember what travis told lottie? He needs to have a near to death in experience to gain answers and to tell nat that she was right. I believe Nat has now made this investigation her purpose and is why she is now staying at the cult camp getting closer to Lottie.
Four Queens of hearts...
Shauna
Misty
Taissa
Lottie
Google what each card means… There is a description of a personality.
Loved hearing your thoughts and predictions for what's coming! This season seems even harder to predict because they are throwing more dream sequences/hallucinations/flashbacks into the mix. You are doing an amazing job sifting through it though!!! Walter saying "being a Yellowjacket is the least interesting thing about you" to Misty seems like he knows much more about her then he's letting on. He could know more about her past than we, the viewers do so that could get interesting. My main concern with him getting close to Misty is that he might figure out where the Adam's body parts were dumped. Some of him was cremated, but his torso that has a distinctive tattoo is still out there somewhere and could become problematic for Shauna and the women that helped her dispose of him. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Walter/Misty dynamic, but Walter is probably going to have to die before the season is out so am mentally preparing for that. lol
No real predictions here, but I do have a favor to ask... IDK if this is intentional on the show's part or not, but I feel a bit lost about where we are in the crash timeline. We know that they are out there for 19 months and the crash happened around Homecoming which is usually Sept./Oct. (ish) for high schools in the US. Going by that, Shauna likely got pregnant sometime in August or early September (?), which would make her due date (if she carried to term) May or June. Some of the episodes have time-jumped by a few months, while others don't at all which has left me very confused about where they are at and hope that you might help at least nail down the month they are in when you do another video if you feel so inclined. Thanks Ash. You're awesome!!
I'm pretty sure they buried the other crash victims at the end of spring when Shana was in her first trimester. So I'm thinking this is their first Winter which means they still have another winter to go before they are rescued... the Show creator that said that cannibalism is the least of these girls transgressions in the wilderness so I can't imagine how much worse it will get in the second winter 😄🙏
Someone mentioned in episode one or two of season two that Shauna was 7 months pregnant, and we know she got pregnant shortly before they left for nationals because her first missed period was after they were stranded. Around the same time that they mentioned Shauna being 7 months pregnant, we learned Jackie had been dead for 2 months, which means they'd been there for 5 months before Jackie died. The crash happened around prom, because Allie had been upset (before her broken leg) that she was going to have to miss prom to go to nationals. Homecoming (doomcoming) was right before Jackie died (5 months after the crash), and prom usually closer to the end of the school year. We see that they are rescued in 1998 but they don't specify yet which month. If they've been there roughly 7 months, they would have about a year left, so the current episodes have to be happening in January of 97 at the very earliest. Given all of that, my best guess is that the crash happened in June of 1996, Jackie died in November, and Shauna's baby should be born in March.
@@okielady73 excellent breakdown 🙏💖
@@okielady73 Oh wow. Thank you very much for taking the time to break it down like that!! You are THE BEST! 💜IDK why, but I had it in my head that they crashed in Sept./Oct. '96, but you're timeline makes more sense with how far along Shauna is and it seemingly being the apex of winter. Thanks again!
@@christinerobbins9376 Thanks! ❤
The oxidation in the water can cause heavy metal toxicity which can cause psychosis, neurodegeneration, and BIRTH DEFECTS. They could be hallucinating and delusional as a result and what will the effects be on Shauna's baby? What if they are all suffering from the groundwater being toxic? Perhaps that's what killed the birds, made the bear docile?
Callie’s sweater is SO reminiscent of the Alice in Wonderland cards on the shoulders the morning after she is caught at the rave
I think adult Nat said to Adult Lottie that whenever she helps someone something bad also happens at or around the same time. So Lottie faints and Javi returns but is Javi ok. We know that Travis is pissed at young Nat cuz she said Javi was dead. This will cause them to not be on speaking terms as much as before
Lottie got hypothermia lol she didn’t just faint
Nat also "spilled the blood" when she cut her leg and rubbed her blood on Javi's pants and then voila... he's found alive in the next episode. The bloodletting, from all of the girls, is definitely connected to a bigger picture. I'm just not quite seeing it, yet.
@@christinerobbins9376 nat spilled blood and the wilderness cooked Jackie
@@magdalenamiamor6678 😂😄🙏 true!
I'm going to rewatch season 2 because I am missing way too many things you have mentioned, especially the cards. Why does Walter always wear shorts?😅 I love him, and Misty. The parallels at the hotel/motel was so great, but yeah Walter is definitely hiding something. Everybody is hiding something.😅
Walter wears shorts because Misty is attracted to male calves ;-)
@@evatesche 🤭😂
I watched someone's shorts videos where it actually showed an interview with teen Shana and adults Shana and the younger version said to the older that oshana is so nice even if she pulled the card people would say oh we're not going to kill you will give it to somebody else!!!! So that Queen of hearts is definitely going to be how they decide who will become pit girl!!!
Thanks for the shout out!
I think Lotti has been taking care of him
Persephone is the Alice in wonderland vibe. Gigi young talks about this spiritual symbolism. Tai hughlighting the left eye, we see this with celebrities alot. The left eye club. Eye of Horus?
A skull is on the shelf to the left of Van in her shop
9 episodes is not fair
Honestly the Trainspotting movie on the marquee in Van's store is a clear clue that Shauna's baby won't make it. 😢
Adam had a brother right? This could be Walter.
I'm wondering what is going to happen with Shauna's baby. Part of me thinks Lottie might try and sacrifice it because she thinks more animals will come their way if they offer blood. But a more horrifying idea popped in my head- what if the baby is still born or doesn't survive the birth... I'm afraid to even think further about that and what they would do in that situation.
i think there are defintely tunnels underground, possibly mapped out by all the symbols on the trees. yellowjackets keep their hives underground so it'd make perfect sense for the yellowjackets team to use that same survival tactic. also - i only noticed on the second watch - but in episode 205 javi came back with a queen card, the only known queen card in the deck.
this is just a thought - but maybe the antler queen, the man with no eyes, and the queen of hearts are all connected? since it's a queen with no eyes? im thinking that's the card they use to sacrifice someone to the antler queen and man with no eyes/the wilderness.
Love this 💕
that’s insane how well you predicted krystal’s death!!
It’s starting feel like the Jordan Poole “US” a lil bit. Javi is definitely a different person.
Also with the Queens Lottie mentioned something last episode about the Queens bees..and them killing other queens bees..
Travis could be in shock when he sees Javi.
Javi looked like he is traumatized so I get him but Travis has been desperate to find this boy for months and he shows up and it’s like he was gone for a day or something 😂
Travis just generally sucks. He's a crappy character and the character is a crappy person. I don't know if it's bad acting or purposely written that way but I have absolutely nothing invested in him.
@@TheAtl198 I don’t think he’s a bad actor…I mean he’s only been good until this episode so I’m thinking it was the direction but idk it was a strange choice for sure 😂
Lol maybe we will see Walter talking with Kevyn next👀
Hi Ash I am late to Yellowjackets and have just watched episode 5 and many of your thoughts are correct. I also like looking for all the references in the props and placements of items in scenes. Now I am up to date and I shall watch your reviews as they come out and perhaps go back and watch previous ones. As always I enjoy listening to you and your theories and thoughts and reading what everyone has to say. The antler lady maybe is the one who has sheltered or supported Javi? Do you know will there be a season 3 and more - wondering how long they can spin this out until the rescue. Hope all is well with you and Miss G ❤
Just for your mental sake bc it worried me too...season 3 has already been confirmed by creators!! I also just got into it Friday night, stayed up all night into Saturday morning just to finish it all the way to season 2 episode 5. I am OBSESSED! I had just recently finished "School Spirits" which by the way, was AMAZING! So I was thinking there was no way Id find anything to watch to top it but...I was so wrong. I absolutely love this show. It checks off everything I look for in a show! I also got my boyfriend obsessed. Can't wait for episode 6!!
Antler Queen is the victim. A deer is the HUNTED, not the hunter. Perhaps they feed her well to fatten her up before eating her.
Misty is wearing the heliotrope outfit! 😮
I think the Queen of Hearts is the card they used to select who it will be they’re going to hunt. Just my theory after ep 4.
I think Lotties new therapist may encourage her to listen to what the visions are saying. A different form of therapy than she’s received.
Then why wear Jackie's necklace? I think that is who picks the next tribute or victim. I think the queen of hearts is who has to hunt/kill who has the necklace.
Plus the eyes are blacked out. Symbol for death plus the eyeless man tie
The eyeless man IS death. Tai is a medium that's why she sees him before people die her Grandma and Jakie. The queen of hearts with the eyes out is a death threat, from Tai.
they didnt have a queen of hearts card it’s not in the deck
@@brynniefresh9746, There are no Queens in the deck at all.
Calling it. Javi found a missile silo or some kind of hatch. Explains the imagery of lottie in the tunnel with candles when she was getting baptized.
He and Ben also didn't eat Jackie or put the dirt/deerblood unguent on their foreheads during the seance. Tbh I think Havi was terrified when he got found. He ran because he probably saw them eating Jackie. Also they hunted him when they were trippin. Also!!! When Jackie stabbed Adam (or maybe in s2e05 I forget) but there were flashes of imagery. Her having sex with Jeff, stabbing Adam, and interestingly, there's like 2 frames of a man with a mustache (matt). Shauna will kill Matt. Or her daughter will. Yeah definitely her daughter.
Unpopular opinion but I think nat becomes antler queen. I think they all vote and it’s a tie between lottie and nat and lottie breaks the tie and chooses nat. Idk but it also bothers me that they said in season one they wouldn’t have made it without nat and I wonder why.
I’m actually thinking the opposite, like nat is the only one at the end not following lottie so she’s the one who ends up finding a way out
@@brynniefresh9746 yes this is possible too. This show makes me run around in circles 😂
Yeah I have a million questions about Javi!!
I think the mines is a go between to place. That is where Javi was.
I thought he was suspect until they did that side by side montage now I think they're soul mates but he's gonna find out she's fucked up or she's gonna assume he's shady when he isn't and it'll get ruined or she'll kill him.
They won't get rid of 2 out of 3 black girls in season 2 and keep all the white ones. It's not 1985.
well we know most of them are dead…and the only ones we know aren’t pit girl are the white-ish ones so it would make sense to keep the white-ish ones around just for the suspense…I’m not saying they should kill all the women of color tho but we also have to go with what they’re implying which is that one of the girls they’ve given some story to will probably die soon, that’s Mari, Crystal, and Akilah
Is there a video on why ONLY Ben has special glitches in his flashbacks? Up until the antler queen shows up at the cult house! The strange thing is… Ben always has glitches into and out of the flashbacks, but the antler queen only has it into… so, all of them drunk should still be in the glitch
In the séance the answer to "will we die out here" was eight... I think Eight survive, we know of five? who are the other three? Something like that
I think Walter could be an undercover agent
I do believe that Natalie is the antler queen. The brief stills in the hypno scene showed her wearing a white gown and headdress we could not fully see. Also Lottie seemed to be reacting in fear to the shadows she may be unlocking in Natalie and the return of the antlered queen.
havent seen this anywhere else, but when lottie falls backwards into the snow after her vision at the mall, she looks christlike. like on the cross. arms out , legs and feet positioned. this isnt the only time she has been positioned this way. it other episodes and in promotional shots for new episodes. just something someone should take a look at i think.
I noticed that this episode but not in previous ones
@@may.k_me i watch and rewatch this show too much. i think i saw that position maybe in a teaser trailer. but i saw it and was like . oh really?
