- A quick review of the three main characters, Shauna, Taissa and Natalie from Showtime's thriller, Yellowjackets season 2. I'll talk about the major events that effect these characters and how they are changing on their journey through the story. Shauna has to deal with suspicious police while trying to keep her family together. Taissa's being haunted by the man with no eyes, and the situation keeps getting worse, so she looks to Van for help. Natalie finds peace, with the help of Lottie and a new friend, just in time to meet her end. we also found out what happens to Javi and Jackie and how the yellowjackets do the unthinkable to survive, stranded in the wilderness.

I think that Nat sacrificing herself for the new friend she made that “tried to teach her forgiveness” was extremely potent and beautiful. Especially considering how well she knew Misty and what she was capable of.
I felt like her sacrifice was her doing her best to take responsibility for the harm she caused. This person taught her how to want to live by being responsible for something pure and uncorrupted (the fish).
I think Nat saw a lot of herself in her new friend, saw her as the pure version of herself.
I feel like it was such a beautiful end to such a complex character.
I thought it was really interesting how the Sedecki family was brought closer together by all this crime instead of torn apart lol I know Jeff gets spooked sometimes, can’t blame him, but they seem like the most solid group of the show right now.
One of the best things about season two, if you ask me. The way they stuck together, despite the difficulties, was heartwarming. I've completely changed my mind about Callie because of it.
I'd love an analysis of Misty! She's my favorite character in the series and she was very prominent this season.
Pleaaaase make another Misty video!!
I'd love to hear your Misty theories
Love Yellowjackets. Agree with your analysis. The rush at the end etc. But it was a good season. Nat has been my favourite character so I was upset when she died. I even said I wouldn't watch next season. Then I watched some crap TV and realized once again how much better YJ is to most series. WTF? I rewatching YJ. hehe
Yeah, there's definitely enough good story writing there to make it a good season, overall.
YES love that you are covering this show!
Ok your video made me like season 2. Maybe I should rewatch it. Thanks for explaining why it felt rushed, I had no idea it was supposed to be longer. I hate that Nat died, she was my fave. And how suddenly she died. But I will watch season 3. I liked your explanation on why Lottie told Shauna to attack her, I thought that part was a little ridiculous, but now I agree with you. I agree with your theory about Tai starting to believe in the man with no eyes because her grandma mentioned him, not because he's a real entity that existed before her. Also, I never thought of him as the one who Tai is possessed by, but now I think it's so obvious. I just thought she saw him while she was in an altered state. And the part where Nat sees Misty at the party before the flight has to mean something, thanks for mentioning that. Also, that part when you said "Quigley that she is" was funny! Love your channel for your severance and now yellowjackets videos. Hope you'll do a video on Misty
I started to like Nat a lot by the end of the first season. Hate to see it. I can accept that it had to happen, but I agree; it should have been handled differently. The only thing I liked about any part of that sequence was the final plane ride scene. there was some dignity in that, at least. Oh, and as for Quigley? Misty is my fav character, so it's a MUST that we get another one lol
I love the season, but I live in confusion when it comes to Natalie’s death 😂
the second season brought up a lot of emotions in me. Looking forward for season 3, so much to unpack after season 2!
This was a great analysis. I am very interested with your point of view in the show for sure.
I'm planning to binge season 2 this weekend, wanted to wait for it all to air before I dived in. I'll definitely come back to this video once I'm up to date. 👍
Hey, Moxie! I usually do the same thing. I can't stand waiting a week between episodes.
I really hope you upload more Yellowjackets videos soon! I love and agree with your theories and your character analysis were spot on imo.
I'd LOVE to see an analysis on Misty, and on the side characters like Jeff and Walter 😊
Wow! I have got to become a Parton. Sorry it took so long and thanks for making it impossible for me to delay any longer. Do you do lives? This video needs a live discussion if anything ever did! I hope I didn't miss it. Thanks Nautilus!
Awesome yellow jackets video character analysis I love this show and can’t wait for the third season.
Thanks bro! Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Last time I checked they said they were in the writing phase.
Terrible end to the season...and to think all they had to do was follow the river when this all started. Rivers always lead to civilization...outdoors 101
Season 2 started out good but it lost me at around episode 7. It took a turn in tone that wasn't for me. I know a lot of people loved the chaos and violence of the later episodes but I was more drawn in by the spooky mysterious tone of the first season and lost interest when at the end of season 2 all the girls suddenly turned into unlikable unrelatable a**holes. Lol. Oh well. There's always Severance season 2 to look forward to...
P.s. I'll NEVER forgive them for Javi lol
Ah, Javi... No good deed, eh? It would have served the showrunner better to spend an entire episode focused on either the past or present. The time jumping is OK, but it falls apart quickly when you have 3-4 arcs running simultaneously and everyone is getting less screentime (especially if you have to drop things at the last minute). I hope it's true that the reason for the disjointed ending episodes was because of said last minute changes. Otherwise, sheesh!
@@nautilusfileshope they do that with the bonus episode maybe a dead cabin guy flashback episode or a Javi flashback episode
Love it and I don’t even watch Yellowjackets!
One for the Algorithm, eh? Thanks, Eva! 😊
please, more analysis on this amazing show!!!
Don't think I'm gonna watch the show (I'm a sissy) but I like the theories. :D
No worries! It gets gruesome at times, so it's not for everyone lol. I appreciate the comment 😃
"This video is getting a little long."
Then ends at 16 minutes.... that's not long....
i saw season 1 of the show. i thought it would be a dark survival story but i should have known better. its a typical womens show with unlikeable characters and poor choices being made every time.
Bad acting bad script wtf how you can watch this b..s.. show ? Melany Lynskey is really bad actress. When she confesed that she killed the guy that she was feeling really deep things... She killed the guy and told her husband ..and was like " Yes I went to the supermarket and I bought some vegetables." wtf? 0 emotions.. and his response was not better than hers..
Than 2 lesbian and one gay guy in 12 people ? really? The Agenda from above has to stop. Brainwashing people in every media. Amazon HBO and the worst of all NETFLIX!! Come on people wake up and stop to watch this kind of content.. Trash Tv
shut up
So, you hate the show. Yet, you chose to click on a video for it and then took the time just to trash it for people who actually do like the show. Got it.
