- Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Welcome back for season 2 Yellowjackets fans! Today we are talking about easter egg's, theories, secrets and what's to come on Yellowjackets Season 2! We kicked off Yellowjackets Season 2 with episode 201 Friends, Romans and Countrymen. We picked up with our core four - Shauna, Nat, Tai, Misty - and we also got to meet adult Lottie in this episode! Plenty of crazy stuff going on in the adult timeline, but there's exciting stuff in the 1990's timeline too, including a new 90's timeline, 1998 emerging, exciting and mysterious! With the death of Jackie, how will the group fair in their first winter in the wilderness without their team captain? I'm very excited my theory that we would see a third timeline emerge proved to be right, so what other theories will we come up with this season?! What if there’s “something” wrong with the baby and so coach and some others stay to keep the baby in secret
i’m an entomologist so i have to add: yellowjackets are a wasp and wasps feed their young meat compared to bees which feed propolis and pollen. yellowjackets can also sting more than once and send out pheromones to attack in packs whereas honeybees have barbed stingers and will die after stinging. bees are also typically hairier than wasps for pollination purposes but that feels less symbolic.

I watched Tawny Cypress in an interview yesterday speaking about wild theories on who the Antler Queen is. She said we need to remember “Antler Queen“ is the name that the fans gave the character. They like the name too but she said that doesn’t mean it’s just one person.
I’m now thinking the “Antler Queen” is Shauna🤔

Several characters in the show have brought up that life does not “feel real”.
Season 1 Episode 8: Adult Taissa tells Shauna
“not a single one of those things felt real” when discussing all of her accomplishments after being rescued.
Season 2 Episode 1: Lottie tells her cult “we are the ones making ourselves sick… and the rest of it doesn’t matter because it isn’t real”
Season 2 Episode 2: Callie says “Everything I thought was real is a fun house hall of mirrors”
This all may mean nothing but it’s interesting multiple characters are mentioning how life does not feel “real”
You think there's going to be a twist where their adult lives that we're seeing aren't real and they're still out there?

I said it with mild, though not malicious, sarcasm because I don't think that's where this is going.
The talk about their lives "not feeling real" in the survivors I think is more a portrayal of depersonalization, which is a symptom of PTSD.
Tai feeling disconnected from her life even though she's accomplished everything she wanted to since she was in high school is related to the trauma.
Lottie was talking about something similar.
And Callie saying what she did makes sense considering she's a kid who just found out her mom is a cheater and a murderer, and her dad knows and is apparently going along with it.

I was thinking that they are going to be voting on who gets killed/sacrificed and then that person wears Jackie's necklace. I had never thought about two different groups I forgot and the synopsis. It could explain why Ty and Van look at each other the way they do in the trailer one on one side and one on the other....... I had wounded what would separate them.
My theory is that something is beneath the lake, like a bunker. That’s why Lot had a vision with the candles, and how Javi has stayed alive, and why the tree base is still warm.
My money is on a Fallout shelter type of bunker.
I still don't know how I feel about these outlandish Lost-esque theories... I don't dislike them.

They went off the flight path because the pilot had said that there was a storm or bad weather/windy, so they had to take a different route
My theory is the land is cursed. And no one that leaves, truly can escape it's grasp . I could be wrong , but the supernatural element is strong .
I think Javi is doing the carving in the tree because he carved the wolf for Shauna last season

I am still theorizing that there are multiple "Antler Queens." I think that Shauna and Tai's "fugue state" and possibly Van could be antler queens. Also I saw somewhere that the symbol is a yellowjacket with the hook on the end being a stinger. I'm still not totally sure about that but it's kind of interesting
I hadn’t heard that about the symbol, hmmm interesting. Yeah I’m trying to keep an open mind about the Antler Queen stuff too. One of the actresses made a point to say in an interview that the fans created the name ‘Antler Queen’…
I think they are voted (or pull a card) and serve terms as the Queen.

Loved your explanation of the yellowjackets🐝 behavior. I had no idea that is what they did to bees. Perfectly describes what will happen to their personalities. I've been stung by a yellowjacket, and it hurt like hell!😅 Have to watch again because I completely missed what Misty was reading on her computer about Walter. So why hasTaisha gone all feral, and the others haven't? Thoughts anyone?? Thanks Ash. 😊
After they are rescued the reporters ask them "why did you take so long?" I simply don't know where this show is going so I'm really excited to know the truth!

I think something really messed up is going to happen surrounding Shauna's baby. I can't recall her or anyone else talking about the baby in the adult timeline. I think the girls might have agreed to never tell anyone Shauna was pregnant at all; Jeff might not even know. But you did say yellowjackets bring the parts of bees back to their larvae...
You know what?
I'm almost afraid that they've changed their mind and they're going to try to covince us that Callie is the baby Shuana was carrying.
They obviously weren't planning for it to be that in season 1, because Callie was way too young. She seemed like she was 14-16!
However, in this season it seems like they're subtly trying to make her older than they portrayed her in season 1. In season 1 she was obviously a kid with a curfew who gets grounded because her mom caught her sneaking into the city to go to a party, but this season she's just announcing with no pushback from her parents that she's spending the night with a friend.
There's also the scene in the restaurant where she's maybe drinking with her friend and how could she be sold alcohol? Then she flirts with a guy who's like 30 and no one treats it like a problem, and she tells him that she's in her final year at Rutgers.
Now, she could have just been lying since she was trying to flirt with an older man, but I'm scared that they're attempting a retcon to "Callie's a college student and that's our official story! Just forget that she obviously wasn't in season 1!"
And I will be seriously pissed off if they do that!
@@sandpiperr I was watching season 1, episode 1 ~I noticed that there are two girls in an older picture frame on Shauna's wall and then going down the wall, u see a picture more current & it's just the three of them: Jeff, Shauna,& Callie, so I'm not sure what happens with the baby, but there were definitely two kids and now just one....

It just does not make sense that no one would have mentioned her (I’ll use female pronouns for Wilderness Baby because I do feel like it’ll be a girl).
We're to believe that Jeff and Shauna just have a 24 year old somewhere that they never talk about? Not even when it’s just the two of them and they’re having serious discussions about their history and life together?
Shauna also didn’t mention how an older sibling in the picture would impact the hypothetical divorce scenario when she was laying that future out to Callie.
Callie has never even referred to an older sibling and, considering how angry and resentful she is of her parents in late season 1 and early season 2, she would likely try to reach out to a grown sibling to try to get away from them if that were an option!
Jackie’s parents clearly did not know that Jeff and Shauna were cheating behind Jackie’s back until he told them at the brunch. Even if we were to think that maybe they just didn’t know Jeff was the father, if Shauna had been rescued with a kid, I’m very confident that’s something that Jackie’s parents would have least mentioned!
Taissa also never said anything about a child other than Callie when she and Shauna were having a deep conversation about how the crash changed the course of their lives, and she’d likely have been present at Wilderness Baby’s birth. We know for certain she did at least know that Wilderness Baby existed, because she knows Shauna was pregnant while they were out there. If Taissa knew that Shauna had another child alive somewhere, you really think she wouldn’t have asked about her at all?
Finally, it didn’t look at all like there was a 10 year age difference between the two girls on the wall of Shauna’s house. The girl in the photo could be a cousin since we don’t know anything about whether Jeff has siblings, or it could be Jackie and Shauna as little kids when they first met. Those photos were poor quality and could easily be from the early 80s rather than the mid 2000s!
Whatever happened to Wilderness Baby, I think there’s zero chance the story is that they’re Shauna’s first kid that came home with her from the wilderness, but now no one ever talks about. Even if we’re thinking that Wilderness Baby died between 1998 and 2021, that doesn’t make sense. At least Jackie’s parents would surely have said something about that!

Yay! Thanks for the new video. Great info as always. I guess I hadn't taken that close of a look at the promo poster. Great catch with the symbol being incorporated in the poster. I agree it's pretty cool! I also hope we will see more of the 1998 timeline. How the women are returned to normal life is gonna be fascinating! I don't know what happened to Javi but I wonder if the tree stump Travis and Nat found will play some part in finding him.

I think one “poetic” theory we should look at is : honey bees vs yellow jackets. They look similar but are very different.
Honey bees and their queen are a collective that work together to survive. While Yellowjacket are only interested in their own survival, they die off during the winter and only the queen survives.

I'm wondering, how did they manage to eat her body when she was cremated with a jacket and clothes on? Like wouldn't it be really unhealthy eating melted plastic?
I believe there are two clans. I think they will rotate leaders. I think they have made it too obvious for it to be only Lottie. I think Pit girl is one of two contestants. Each clan sends out a girl with a symbol on it such as the necklace. Then the other group hunts them. First two die gets eaten!
Does that opening scene have to be a flash back from the past? What if it’s current day and it’s going to be shaunas daughter runny from someone … or something
Stay with me on this, with your two groups theory, the 3 new girls on this season(2), are either ghosts or imaginary friends or something idk but they only interact with certain characters, and didn’t indulge in Jackie’s body
Does anyone have any theories why the symbol showed up right after the plane crash? Before Lottie was out of pills. I think even before Misty chopped off coach's leg they showed it carved into a tree.

Also I predict that Shauna is the antler queen. Imagine if she started the cult but then wised up but everyone was too far down the rabbitt so to speak.

I've always believed that they gave the team the nickname of "Yellowjackets" for a reason, hinting that the girls' behavior might be similar to the behavior of actual yellowjackets/wasps. Also, I have to ask - why do some of these YT channels say "un-alive" instead of "killed?" Will saying "killed" get you de-monetized or something? Anyone?
I've heard that using certain terms implying violence can be the cause of videos getting de-monetized, so I'd assume that's the case.

In interviews the cast has said there are many antler queens. They also said “antler queen” was a Reddit phrase and they wouldn’t call it that at all. All signs point to the sacrifice wearing the antlers before they’re hunted.
Hum...My mascot at University was Yellowjackets. Interesting...I def think there is a plan going of and the girls will break apart. We have new girl with speaking roles. My daugher told me on was there last season, and the other she things is new. Carving the symbols in the tree is a better way of marking a path than paint. They don't know when or if they will be found, and I'm sure no one had spray paint, but paint used in art or Sharpies, they could have, but could easily be washed or rubbed away. My cousin carved his name in a tree in my grandma's backyard, it's still there. The Symbol is a little weird, and I wonder who came up with it, and if they tell us the meaning. As far as the baby. I think that will happen in the last episode on the sesaon, but I'm not sure it could survive, unless they find a better way of eating, so she can produce milk for the babe, Oh, wait...maybe that's why they start eating each other...I think they have all gone mad, already...where they go from here will be really wild.
One thing you didn't mention, is that Tori Amos song. Was never a fan, and Cornflake Girl is a song an ex used to drive me CRAZY with it...but now, Not sure I will ever be able to eat cornflakes without becoming ill.
according to an elle interview with the adult cast, the term "antler queen" was something invented in reddit, and they all seem to agree that it's just not something that's in the show. ergo, there is no antler queen - but rather, maybe there isn't just ONE antler queen, but they are all bonded as the collective antler queen.
The show creators deliberately put in red herrings that mean nothing. Don't waste much time theorizing about this show. Just sit back & let them tell their story. Hopefully they don't drag it out more than 4 seasons.
