Just had one done, based off what I felt I think the piercer did a different technique than this video, it is less painful than a cartilage piercing it’s just a different sensation.
This is the best method and jewelry for this type of piercing. I got mine done this way 2 months ago and so far it’s been doing great.No rejecting and I’m always on top of cleaning it. If you do the curved bar bell it’s a higher chance of it rejecting
The ugly rejecting ones that I saw were usually done with a curved barbell and those are not meant to be for this piercing. The surface bar used in this video is much better.
I have this piercing when I got it done I didnt even know it was done til I asked "are u done" jewellery was already in and no pain whatsoever....I recommend

Mine wasn’t done like this, just a needle. And I had a curved barbell… I would say if you’re getting it done with a curved bar, ask for a longer bar than the standard! I find the curved bar feels tighter than the staple bar.
They pinned most of it away but I get what you mean, but those baby hairs will be in the way no matter what they’re just rooted so close to the piercing
very cool video, but it’s that the dermis layer not the subcutaneous fat layer? the dermis is white in color while the subcutaneous tissue is usually yellow and “bubbly” textured

(Because of the punctures it’s considered a “medical” procedure so you have to have a separate medical license to do that, not just a piercing license)
That’s not quite right. This law applies to dermal anchors and the use of a certain type of tool “dermal punch” or “biopsy punch” But surface piercings are not dermal anchors. Eyebrow and navel piercings are surface piercings technically for instance, but perfectly legal. (Surface piercings are those where the jewelry lies beneath the surface of the skin, as opposed to going through a piece of tissue like with ears and noses and such)
Its only dermals that are illegal, you can still get a surface piercing. As stated previously making that illegal would also make eyebrow and belly button piercings illegal.

This can be incredibly dangerous for someone to do that is not properly trained. If the O Needle or 14g needle goes into the very superficial large vein that is in front of the ear, you could lose a substantial amount of blood, along with getting a deep tissue abscess or infection in that area is extremely serious. Do not attempt this with someone not properly trained

I have like 10 piercings in total all in both ears and they are not painful at all the max pain i have felt is 3/10 in my lobe but super painless

How long do they last? I've had 4 regular individual dermals in total and all rejected rather quickly, all near my cheek bone areas unfortunately

I have the piercing, all you have to do is make sure you have stretchy skin and your eligible for it.
I've had both side pierced for 12 years ..no issues here
