I think I’m confused by some of the comments here. I believe that massages and such help people with things medications cannot provide, seems fair enough. However, I’m confused why some individuals think crying is a sign of success or proof reiki and others like it work. Am I opposed to this? No. However, modern medicine and “western” medicine has cured me of deadly illnesses. These types of healing have not, nor do I believe they can. If there is proof or evidence of Reiki, energy healing, etc. healing individuals of disease, sicknesses, or other terrible things then please prove me wrong. Side note, I believe the crying is a normal response because people have pent up emotions. I have cried randomly for no reason as well. Some of these reiki energy healing experts are really scamming people if we’re honest. $315 for one session? For me to cry? Some of these individuals charge $100’s for one hour and there is not definite proof of healing. I am open minded to a certain degree, and I draw the line at people trying to charge $100’s for ‘medicine’ that may not even work.

It’s definitely a little dream of mine to be a firefighter, I always thought it was a beautiful thing to be able to serve the community and even to be a role model for young girls while doing so, means so much to me.
