      a double helix (with a gun bc i didnt know much about piercing back then 💀) healed for about a year or so bc i kept messing with it. and a flat and upper lobe, got it just about 3 weeks ago! (with needle this time) it got irritated sometimes bc its still healing but the process is much better than the double helix (ofc).

This was suggested to me by the piercer/tattoo artist at the shop I went to in Dallas, Texas when I got my belly button pierced when I was 21, in the early 1990's. Still have the piercing, and still use povidone-iodine for occaisional wound care for myself and kids. Two of my kids have used it on their ears piercings too. Brand name is Betadine, but just povidone-iodine is the same, and cheaper. Target had the cheapest price I have found. Good luck!

      I had my daiths done in one go. I have migraines so I was at my wits end and willing to try it. The first ear the lady accidentally didn’t get all the way through. I don’t think it was her fault I have thick cartilage in those areas. I screamed mfr pretty loud to the extent people ran in to make sure everything was ok. (I’m not a cusser lol) and she pushed it the rest of the way through. Then she did the other one. They healed very well. I tipped extra for scaring everyone in the lobby 😂

      @mika_kalea9463 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@catlover4319 That does not sound normal. Which type of metal did you use for your piercings? To me it sounds like you might have had a slight allergic reaction, which prevents your wounds from healing, because they keep getting irritated. One of my friends had this problem. As soon as they switched to real gold, they were fine. It could also just be that you played around with your piercings too much, reopening the wounds in the process over and over.

    I had this piercing done and it wasn't healing correctly for about a month and a half (my other piercings were a breeze to heal) so I went to my piercer and told him about the situation so he looked at it and said the jewelry (it was a ring) might have been too thin so the wound didn't have enough surface to like.. grab onto and heal over. So he changed it for a ring that was a tiny bit thicker (still really tiny because my ear is so ridiculously small) and in three days my ear was completely healed and I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH. I'm thinking maybe some of you here in the comments had the same issue but gave up instead of going to your guy to check on it..? Idk, just guessing
