- In this video we will be looking at doing a quick and easy modification to your model kit's chassis pan in order to align both front and rear wheels into the body's wheel arches.
I chose to completely replace the ancient chassis with AMT's 66 Ford Fairlane and all the underpinnings . This gave me way better detail and corrected the alignment in both the front and rear wheel arches. Some trimming on the front and rear of the 66 chassis was required. I also replaced the front rad core.
Cool video Trevor. Thanks for sharing.
The NASCAR wheel and tire look like the bigger fit issue, they are too big and wide for the fender openings.

Great tip
Good tip
I think you are right,Trevor. I'll look again at mine👍😎.and make new hoses😉. One could relocate new pins for added strength👍looks like it still needs redrilling in the rear axle too. Are you finding the chassis won't fit in properly? I think the interior tunnel is fouling the chassis
You should have the glass and dash in when doing this.
Not a great kit but looks good when she's done. I address the rear axle on my build of the kit, way off, little love and we can get it right!! Definitely not a beginner model
Or just steal the entire chassis/ floorpan from AMTs much better 66 Fairlane
Sorry but this is NOT working!I am just building this kit!If you do it this way the room for the engine moves back and the firewall hits the interior tub(makes it very difficult to install the dashboard!)!It much easier to file the holes in the direction you need to move the wheels! And another Problem with this chassis is that the left ride hight is to high in the front
The whole kit is a POS
This is a issue on some amt kits.
