Well then I guess the extra 4 seconds he wasnât descending into madness đ€·ââïž
well to be honest... whenever im mixing paint and i ran out of the mixed paint, i can never get the same tone again. maybe this is the problem its supposed to solve!
Yep, thinking of the same. @jazza Some paint just shift the color after drying and no one can really mix the same hue after that. I guess the 3way thing is over engineered but a set of 3 different eyedroppers with measuring scala should do fine and be more precise. The key is to write the proportions down.
an accurate measuring scale is all you need to fix this problem.. but personally i think that slight variation in colour makes for a better painting
A good solution would be what I used when I did traditional darkroom photography where even just the slightest difference in chemical mixture could make or break a print - writer literally everything down. I serious. Itâs annoying while doing it, but if I look at my notes I could go back and recreate a print I made in 2010. Write what color you started with, the percentage of each color, every detail you can think of. Iâm sure there are ideas online for what exactly to record to recreate a paint mixture, Iâd look at a channel that makes their own watercolors. I can see exactly what this tool is going for with the measurements and to be honest it just needs some more r&d to get its precision worked out. The biggest issue it has is the spindle/pressure plate mechanism. I could see this being simplified by just using syringes by themselves.
Sorry for typos, btw. I know theyâre there, I just have too much of a migraine to do much proofreading and correcting right now.

before I knew I was colour blind, I would get berated every day by my art teacher and so I fell out of love with using colour in my paintings and only used black and white paint. with that thing, I think I could have kept a bit of dignity, and maybe I wouldn't have gotten kicked out of my art class lmao

(FWIW, I have a largely adversarial relationship with sports, especially team sports, for similar reasons. I was never talented at them, and everything about gym class just magnified my dislike.)
I think it's used so you could mix the exact same color every time
Yes, that was a fun problem to solve. With a TriaDart, you'll be able to mix any reasonable ratio of a fluid 'A' to a fluid 'B'.
You can mix 1:16 - 16:1 of A to B by rotating the 'dual' scale over to a ratio of your choice and actuating the control disc. Both fluids would be produced at a ratio you have selected. Further mixture tweaking would be done via the 'single' scale. You could select a volume on that scale (.04 - .5ml) and again actuate the control disc. Any ratio thereby is possible as long as you accumulate the dispensed volumes. We supply a concise color catalog with each TriaDart for reference. The workflow for mixing our catalog colors would include dual and single dispensing as outlined above.
cant u tell the amount by looking at ihe paint lol ?

The most sensible part of this video is Jazza trying to stamp thins paint back into their bottles. I think that says a lot... (#9:13). Thank you for reviving this must-have item :)
I'd say it could be to accurately mix the same shade everytime? idk
He was too stupid to figure that out.
Yes, this is a priority of this product. You can mix fluids in proportion to each other repeatably and automatically (that is, parametrically - based on physical controls). Any color is possible if you accumulate or compound the dispensed volumes. Although this might at first seem involved, all you're doing is rotating a disc-like dial to a desired marker and pushing the disc edge down. You would be manipulating tactile controls and using your understanding, experience, and possibly the supplied color catalog, to adjust a mixture based on apparent color, viscosity, transparency, etc. Once you've come up with a color you love, you would also have a clear understanding of its formulation for the future.
Your acting in that informercial is top notch
This shows that experience is more important than accuracy.
Itâs probably a pair of those âmy kid is a geniusâ parents who took their kidâs science project and decided to try selling it online because everyone would buy it and the teacher was wrong in not giving them first prize. đ

"Might have been for the colorblind"
me, a colorblind: "Just buy the needed color"
Iâm colorblind too. Usually itâs a lot cheaper to buy the primaryâs and black and white. Usually I just go with the color theory, mix the paint, and use an app to tell me what the color is. Buying every different shade of a color would make me broke haha
Sometimes when you ran out of a specific colour you've mixed mid-painting, it's difficult to get the same hue again. This product was probably designed with that in mind, but boy oh boy was it a mess đ I would much prefer to just mix and blend, it gives the painting life. That's how art should be, experimental~
âYellowish tinted redâ you mean orange lol. Or he was just quoting the first artist to mix red and yellow lol edit: I know itâs mostly red it was a joke
To be honest that more a light red than orange
What he means is itâs a very red toned orange, so much so that itâs barely orange just red with a hint of yellow... aka yellowish-tinted red
He means itâs barely any different than red
It's way too red for it to be called orange I guess so it's a yellowish tinted red
I guess I call a more red orange...red-orange. And a yellowy orange is yellow-orange.
This seems like a perfect product for shark tank or dragons den đ
I LITERALLY ADORE THE FACT THAT YOU TRYYYY AND MAKE THE PRODUCT LOOK GOOD. Its so hilarious when itâs not actually good but youâre like âPlease...just be orange...i swear its not hard - PLEAAAASEâ (ofc not real dialogue but you could hear the painđđ)
I expected it to be a color palette at the top, and you can push on the color you want and it automatically pushes out the right ratio.
That would be epic and worth the money

Jazza: *accidentally eats paint*
Jazza's daughter on a past vid: noob. I did it on purpose
I've been using something like that when working in a printing house (the spec wheel, however, was controlled by a computer). It doesn't matter where you push - as long as your paints have the same consistency the mix will have exact same proportions each time so these parts where Jazza is frustrated because he tries to make the mix blue or red "heavy" are hilarious. In my case the scale in the app UI was converting from CMYK to whatever colour palette you had.
Product: single use only
Jazza: this is so hard to clean
Lol the syringes are definitely not single use at all. I've used one set dozens of times with this device.
@@psibitful2 So... how does the device actually work? What do the dials do?
â@@Lodorn From the product manual. (I would link to it here directly but it seems our website is down today)
Dual Fluid Scale
A dual fluid ratio-metric scale controls dispensing two fluids at a specific ratio to one another. Ratios of fluid A to fluid B are denoted as follows: [1/16 : 15/16, 1/4 : 3/4, 1/2 : 1/2, 3/4 : 1/4, 15/16 : 1/16]. Two fluids immediately flanking the dual dispensing indicator will be dispensed simultaneously upon a depression of the control disk, at the chosen ratio.
Single Fluid Scale
A single fluid volume scale governs the dosing of a single fluid upon depression of the control disk. Use it to dispense a fluid independently as advised by the color catalog. Or use it to count shots of fluid having a pre-set volume as you add it to a mixture.
The single and dual scales both reside on the same control dial. There is an additional star shaped handle at the very top of the dispenser which you can use as a clamp in certain situations.
How the scales align to respective indicators:
Dual Fluid Scale
- A spherical indicator on each grab handle indicates a ratio of fluids to dispense from the adjacent left and right cartridges.
Single Fluid Scale
- A spherical indicator above each fluid cartridge indicates how much material to dispense from the cartridge.
Once you learn this system of scales, you might find a new flow and speed in making artwork. TriaDart is all about abstracting color with a set of super responsive and easy to use tactile controls.
