    Lovely review tactic, it was great to see Z-35 enter the game as she is german but i wish there would be more variaty, consumables wise, for the german destroyers. The only consumables we have seen on them are damage con., engine boost and sonar and i think they should be played around with more since if you were to look at german battleships or cruisers to find cumable variaty would be much more simple. But id be curious to know how you see it. I just kinda find it worrying that there isnt even one german radar piece around somehwere if you get what im saying.

    I appreciate how much work you put into making these videos. Looking at your viewcounts, imagine standing on stage in a stadium in front of thousands of people and you give a "presentation" of this video to them. Everyone cheers and claps when you finish. I hope you feel the same accomplishment when you publish a video to CZcams.

    Great review. I have really enjoyed playing this ship so far. I like the Maas, so to me it feels very similar except the lack of speed boost. And the HE feels less punchy than the Maas. But the excellent stealth, smoke and superb sonar combination are a powerful and deadly combination for a lot of other DDs.

  • @hard_toaster8558
    @hard_toaster8558 Před 3 lety +1

    Aye tiktokangel! As known to your hard core fanbase: Your german is pretty dang good. Two ideas for further improving that excellence: Erich Bey is pronounced "Bye" rather than "Bay" (even few Germans know that, though). And Reinhard Scheer is much closer to "Shair" (hair, air) than "sheer". Apart from me being a smart butt here, I like the Z-35 very much. It suits my playstyle and my demand for a versatile tool kit. Also I find it to be a good credit maker (which is a bit silly, because it actually burned quite some credits in real life).
    By the way, I enjoy you being on streams - especially with the german CCs. No harsh language, just a continuity of understated smartness. Thank you and please keep it up...!

    • @tacticangel
      @tacticangel  Před 3 lety +1

      I'll have to think about that. Bey and Scheer are two German admirals that you hear talked about in English and usually pronounced in that way (aka the wrong way, I guess).
      But hopefully Adler and I can find a reason to group up again sometime soon... perhaps Arena... perhaps just for fun. 😁

    • @hard_toaster8558
      @hard_toaster8558 Před 3 lety

      Yeah, please hook up with Adler. He is also quite keen on pronouncing the gentlemen correctly, by the way. But any the way, you do just fine either way. I mean, who of us really knows, if we pronounce the Japanese captains all that correct. 🥴🤷‍♂️

    @richarddoig1865 Před 3 lety +1

    Great review, as usual. I actually love this ship. Not sure why, but I like it better than I ever liked Maass or Gaede . Maybe because I’m a better player now than when I got them, but I have yet to have an awful game in her. I’m late to this review, but the next update ( August) will give every DD commander a version of twist and track(just track? Without turret traverse boost). That will make Avon Spee a better option, and make the Halloween commander, Blue Furiora, much more interesting as her base trait increases speed. Just another option.

    • @tacticangel
      @tacticangel  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, maybe. I am surprised that most people seem to be sticking with pure torpedo builds. With the Perceptive skill in slot 3, I think it has a lot of competition, because Torpedo Safari is also really, really good.

    • @richarddoig1865
      @richarddoig1865 Před 3 lety

      @@tacticangel Agreed! Torpedo safari is usually my go to for any DD, except Americans. Gives me 8.1km on a 7 km base torp range( Kamikaze, early German and French boats), allows me to catch campers napping, or blind fire the gaps better. Now though, everyone has a version of twist and track, so I’m just using torpedo safari on very low visibility boats that already have good torpedo range. I do use it on Sims, Monaghan and Benham with Gleaves though. Their torpedoes are rather sketchy due to range , speed , or damage, and I find their guns are still better than most even with a slight increase in reload time. With the Sims, the HP pool is to low to gunboat anyhow. Thanks for your response! I really didn’t expect to hear back from you on an older video. I alway enjoy your work. I love your breakdown of a ships history ( if it existed!), and miss your commander histories! Hope to see them rise again! Thanks again, and stay safe!

    Outstanding video. I have a question.
    I noticed you were firing a good amount of torpedos in a wide spread. Could you breakdown when the widespread is a better option as opposed to a narrow spread?

    • @tacticangel
      @tacticangel  Před 3 lety +1

      There are a couple of reasons to fire widespread torpedoes. In the case of the La Galissonierre, he was at close range and he looked like a one-hit. That's a tactic that works really well against destroyers in a knife-fight. Best-case scenario with a DD is you hit it. Often times, it's just good to limit the DD's return fire (as he worries about dodging) and a wide-spread makes a large area relatively dangerous.
      The shot I had at the end against Prinz Eitel Friedrich was mostly just that I didn't have a real good guess what he was going to do so... might as well take one hit.

      Thanks for the breakdown!
      I took some notes watching this video again and your response has already helped me make a needed adjustment when I’m either in a cruiser or torp capable battleship. I managed to sink 3 overly aggressive DD’s who were rushing me.
      In one case it was a lifesaver because I potato’d a shot on a destroyer and the DD took that as the signal to rush me and I knocked him out with one torp.
      Thanks Again!

  • @knighthawkS86
    @knighthawkS86 Před 3 lety +1

    Seen alot of folks rolling with what we lovingly refer to as an "@$$hole" build 😆... basically getting the detection BELOW the range of the Sonar, makes it a downright annoying (hence the name) DD hunter, lol

    • @tacticangel
      @tacticangel  Před 3 lety

      I kind of think the stealth sonar thing is a bit overstated. My build in this match technically is that way, but realistically, 100-200 meters of stealth sonar is really closer to "detection-sonar."
      But detection-ranged sonar usually means that they sail into your range, you start pelting them. They smoke and turn out, and blind, maybe, only themselves. 😁 ...so I mean, yeah, it works.

  • @Zapranoth-lf8nt
    @Zapranoth-lf8nt Před 3 lety +1

    I enjoy the 150s more...Maass was OK, but the guns were not so punchy, imo...I also use Burke as my 2nd Bey inspiration, otherwise, in addition to "not so punchy", the guns struggle to behave at times...

    • @tacticangel

      The 128's definitely struggle at AP pen, though aiming high on a battleship can get you 2k per pop... pretty good considering the reload.
