    Thanks man! This is what I exactly needed help with on my 1994 Ford Mustang GT! I have the rear end gasket leaking, Instead of buying another one I was going to seal it up with gasket glue

      1sik sn95 yeah, the rtv works well. The ford racing diff cover is great too cause it's so thick it doesn't bend. They sell off brand ones for a little cheaper. The stock cover is so flimsy

      Cool. Remember to only fill the diff until it comes out the original fill plug. Good luck on the install

      Robert Swift In that case, make sure the shop knows it’s not supposed to overflow out the cover fill plug. Common mistake

    what size is the drain plug on that ford racing cover ? I know the top one is 10MM allen socket apart from the factory 3/8 fill hole on inside of the 8.8 housing

    On the load bolts how do you know your not putting to much pressure? Get them snug then tourque?

      Bill Burke It’s very minimal. 5 foot pounds. You want it just barely touching. Here is another video I recently made as well czcams.com/video/3UZBL9UD74A/video.html

    Shouldn't you just be able to put the gear oil through the shift knob from inside? Gonna be my first time trying this

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  Před 7 lety

      1sik sn95 that's how you add oil to the transmission, not the rear end. I have a video on that as well
