It's pretty logical that you die almost instantly with karma and without I-frames.
As we know sans has 1atk, that means he deals lowest dmg possible. That's why sans is that powerful, all thanks to karma.

@@danielgonzalez-vm5lj What is very strange is that it checks for if one has fought Undyne the Undying AND if Undyne is dead, even tho it realistically only has to check for one of these.(Because one can only get out of the Undying-fight by killing her and that Undying is only even available on Geno...and also the detail that the murderlevel-check is linear, the game doesn't even do this check if the prior check returned false)

The lone Karma effect is how I've believed the way karma would work
Sans has frameskipping capability because his fight is kinda in a way
..based on him cheating the system??
So Karma is just another one of your toys used to make battles even more unfair for those without their own cheats
So basically skeletons (and probably Boss Monster's when not holding back so much) can just remove I-Frames, I guess
within my headcanon

This actually puts the Sans bit of "only deals 1 damage" into perspective. He deals 1 damage, every 'tick' you're inside his attacks. Giving the Karma ability to anyone else makes it more of a bad time since they have higher attack.

I feel like this could be canon, since KR ISN’T truly limited to Sans, it’s an effect placed on you after you’ve killed most of the monsters. So, if you fought Asgore in Genocide, he would have KR as well, same for if any other monster replaced Sans.
