If you try to "defuse" a monster with an attack, it will still take damage, and will simply die at some point. In other words, you can't "defuse" a monster with an attack

I'm curious why Toby made new sprites for the Lost Souls and didn't just use the regular battle sprites with the thing over the face since they usually don't move and their faces are not visible until after they get their memories at which point they use a different sprite.
The white boxes cannot cover all their face so toby had to use the blank face sprite to make it completely blank

Things I learned today:
1. Undyne's body is broken af, but The Heroine's isn't.
2. Lost Alphys still keeps her glasses despite losing her face. (Also that messed up background.)
3. The Lost Skelebros still have their mouth (and nose), but Asgore also has his mouth for some reason.
And I also noticed that Sans is not smiling like always, the smile is a bit off.
And asgore’s hands in the battle will stay on the trident

I love how some of them just shrink into miniature versions of themselves
I think you get softlocked when theres any type of ending when beating a boss, when beating sans he just dies and you just keep to go instantly, same with undying, she just dies and you instatly get to keep walking, but since the defuse counts as a pacify muffet has some dialogue right away after ending the battle, same with mettaton, alphys calls you to see if youre okay, point is that youre probably going to get softlocked if theres any type of special interaction when ending a certain fight.
I feel like Mettaton EX should've been moving side-to-side like that in the vanilla fight.

there's a note left by the uploader of the video (which isn't pinned for some reason) saying that monsters still take normal damage and don't defuse if you try to defuse them with an attack

Another suggestion: maybe try to make them like blue attacks,preventable by shooting yellow bullets,each shot is based off the weapon you use,basically instead of attacking every turn you attack by aiming on a target (boss/monster) dealing a random damage,you can still spare tho
