- Is it possible to beat Undertale when every room's location is completely randomized?
Today's mod randomizes the entrances of all rooms in the game. My goal is to find the Neutral ending, but I also want to see if I can find the Pacifist ending as well as a certain Mystery Man who's hiding amongst the rooms.

And the fact that it ended into a loop makes it funnier, like if Gaster was annoyed and catched the player.
I find it hilarious that the Gaster door lead to the True Lab Shower room like Shayy was just walking in on Gaster taking a shower constantly

- The barrier is just outside MTT Resort
- The elevator leads directly to the surface (Right Room 2, to be exact)
- Entry #17 lies just beyond the steam vent labyrinth

- The exit is just beyond the Gift shop
- Right Floor 2 is the Surface. In other news, left floor 1 is Hell and Right floor 1 is Heaven.
- Gaster likes a saune after taking a shower.

Finally caught a Shayy stream, they spent 17 hours getting Gaster'd into a softlock until Toby Fox Tobussy'd their home and randomized all the rooms in his actual real life. They've been live for the past week stranded in their Minos' Labyrinth of a home. Great entertainer he is.

The “fake ending” isn’t necessarily the ruins one. That ending door is both a cutscene (credits) trigger and an entrance, so the credits plays first, then you get immediately teleported to a random room.

you know, if all the rooms are randomized, there's a chance that on a run, all the rooms will be randomized to where the game will be exactly the same as it normally is.
just like shuffling a deck of cards, there's a chance that if you shuffle a certain amount of time/times, the deck will be the exact same as how it was before you took it out of the box/tin.

That's part of a battle cutscene that spawns from Asgore with MDR16, not a room, so it wasn't included (and without serious modification would basically be impossible get in this setting unfortunately)

There's something kind of haunting about going through Undertale like this. You have all these familiar locations but much of the gameplay and dialogue that's meant to take place there is missing. It creates this odd sense of emptiness, like you're traversing through a liminal space...
The Underground after it's gone empty... Whether from leading the way to the Surface, or scattering their dust to the winds.
...The empty Underground that, after the 'best' ending, Flowey chose to stay in after everyone else left... 😢

You need an everything randomizer (like I said in the community post)
Monsters are random and have randomizer dialogue, pick ups are randomized (you can buy spider donut and get butterscotch pie) attacks are randomized and do random damage (like 1-45 or something) and rooms are randomized (also soundtracks)

The part that I find annoying is that the entry/exit directions aren't aligned, you could walk into an entrance from towards the left and exit facing upwards, which wouldn't be an issue for me, but Hollow Knight Room Randomizor DOES do that so now it bugs me.

Id love to see a version of this challenge done where it's in the style of the Pokemon map randomizers, where you have to defeat every Gym (or in this case boss) in order then find the ending in order to win. Although, the mod would have to be altered to make it so every randomized door is linked properly, ie if you go into one area you can go back to the previous one through the way you came. Technically it'd be possible without that but it'd be much better if it were linked
