They might have no choice...😁🤣 There's no money flowing INTO Disney's pockets. Last year was significant: for the first time ever, Universal's films OUTearned Disney's films at the box office worldwide. Ouch.
They will put up a huge billboard in line of sight of two-shower Bob, saying; "HA-HA!"
It's all about Ego aka Legacy for Bob and he won't back down before he's burned it all down to the ground to prop up Disney+
And Castmembers are underpaid.
The real problem is the fact that me, and people like me, won't sign up for Hulu anyway if Disney outright owns it. I'll go out of my way to avoid giving money to Disney.

This is the thing. We always talked about these costs in neutral revenue terms. There is the interest on the debt from Hulu purchase. More importantly and harder to enumerate is how the funds they have used could have been more productive. Material investment in their parks, Cruise line and DVC property expansion would see returns several times of what Disney + has yielded.
The final cost of D+ will be counted in HUNDREDS of billions ultimately

ALSO...though the features from Marvel have been awful and big moneylosers....the BAD Dplus shows have ACCELERATED audience rejection and the harm done to that IP franchise so there's one more "If only there hadn't been the Dplus thing" consequence beyond the costs of doing it and the lost opportunity of licensing things to Netflix, Amazon, etc.etc.

So if the final 30% is worth $40B, then the Fox purchase for $70B which also included 30% of Hulu was a fairly worthwhile purchase.
Disney has already paid $70B for Fox, whatever dollar amount they pay for Hulu is on top of that figure. Iger is moron that has swallowed Disney in debt and got NOTHING for it
