- We’ve returned from our mid-season break, so we’ve decided to re-visit the show that’s pretty much synonymous with midseason beaks for us: The Walking Dead. As the AMC TV show entered its second season, there were even more changes made from the Image Comics graphic novels for television. From the relative role of Hershel’s farm, to the fate (and existence) of various characters we’ll go through every difference, major, minor, and in between between the comics and the TV show. McMing333 What I heard is that the actor was like... 9? I think? When she was in the show, and she was very hesitant about continuing the show, and decided that she didn’t want to do it anymore so the writers killed her off. After it was already set in stone though, she changed her mind, but it was too late.

Yep. And by the final issue, the two are happily married with a kid.
If I'm correct, the only members of the group still alive by the end are Carl, Sofia, Michonne, Maggie, Eugene, and Jesus.
Lori in the comics: Tells Shane they're done and that Rick is her husband, defends Rick from Shane during a fight, comes out to Rick about being pregnant, understands that Shane was crazy and had to die.
Lori in the show: Constantly sends mixed signals to Shane, batshit crazy, insults Andrea for no reason, calls Daryl selfish, gets pissed at Rick for killing Shane in self-defense.

I was absolutely bawling at Dale's death. He and Herschel were my favourite characters. Other than Daryl, that is.

why does TV Dale get so much hate?

Yapeseguy that's pretty much it other than most characters in the comics like Andrea and of course old preachy dale just the characters doings and sayings that make them different I never said I hate dale I thought he was good in both versions of the story just that's how things ended up in the script. Just they were annoying and not really played a big part as their characters in the comics

Shane's not all bad. He was a decent guy before the apocalypse. He and Rick were good friends then. He truly believes Rick died in the apocalypse first and is merely trying to look after Carl and Lori. It's not until Rick returns that his jealousy and alpha male behaviour starts driving him to the brink of insanity. Before that, he was a pretty decent guy though.

The Telltale game is canon to the comics and takes place in the same world. The show is totally separate.

I used to think Shane was a bad guy for shooting Otis in the show but as I got older and rewatched season 2 recently, I realized that it was a justified sacrifice. If Shane hadn't shot Otis, not only would he and Otis died anyway, but so would have Carl. Shane made in my opinion the only choice he could've to save Carl's life and I can't fault him for it. As messed up as it sounds I probably would've made the same choice in his shoes given the circumstances.

they could have either talked it out, resulting in one of them staying behind to allow the other to escape
shane could have just ran faster (the horde wont just pick them both at the same time, so long as shane was just a bit faster he could have made it)

the entire season depicts him as a crazy selfish man, what he did was a coward move.
i still think otis would have stayed behind to die once he realised they werent gonna make it, and shane would have had much more ammo and time to spare

I really hated how they treated Rick at the end of Season 2 in the show. I forgot that Season 1 explained that everyone had the virus, but I still knew that from common sense. Not everyone is going to get bit and turn into a Walker. Most people died from other ways and turned. I found that out by myself, but when Rick tells everyone, they're all surprised. Once again, I forgot that the CDC part explained this. I had that in my memory alone. How come Daryl couldn't figure that out? He's one of the smartest people in the group!
