I’ve been playing this game since 2015. And as someone who has put in well over 500 hours and beat the game literally 3-4 times I can say EVERYTHING they added into this game was everything this game needed to truly be a masterpiece.
Kingdom beats it in terms of immersion just walking Through a Forrest in that game feels like Real life RDR2 is up there as well Witcher 3 is in 3rd for me but its so rare to find games that feel alive.
As someone who watched way too many Gopher playthroughs...the one where the mini-map only appears when using Witcher sense came from a mod. I like how they integrated some community content here
Playing it again on death march is some of the most fun I've had playing a game this year, by far. It's crazy challenging but also feels fair. It makes me really learn and use all the mechanics available, which feels like the way the game was ment to be played.
Freshly updated on PC and it launches into a black screen... forced to change it to DX11 and then finally get into game to realize my FPS has HALVED using the same graphics settings before the update.
@@insanelysaneman2033 ofc they have, it uses the enhanced 4k textures, and wreak havoc on low VRAM cards. Using a RX 6600M, I can still use the 1440p RT preset with minor tweaks and get 60+ fps, which is all i need
Got 80 hours in release but was so sidetracked with side quests that I was 30 hours removed from the main quest and became completely lost. Never finished it because of that. Really glad I waited to start a new play through; Booted it up last night and it looks like a modern release!
@@svfutbol20 yeah heart of stone was incredibly well done I love how they really fleshed out the Oxenfurt and Redania areas of the map since the base game left them feeling a bit empty and we passed over them so quickly as well as being totally over shadowed by Novigrad. Blood and wine is great too if you look at it as a standalone feature but there are much less interactions with the main story than heart of stone. Dialogue between characters assumes you have completed the base game main quest even if you haven't though the game allows you to travel to Toussaint after rescuing Dandelion. Heart of stone is available to start as soon as you get to velen and the events wind in with the dialogue in the main quest. It's a nice set of details, while it's nice to be able to go to Toussaint early and grab all the high lvl gear they really should have put in more details that interact with the main story. Or at least changed the dialogue a bit so you aren't telling character you've found ciri already when you haven't
Waited almost 2 years to replay this because I knew an enhanced version was coming. Game is a masterpiece. I forgot how good the game is, and the graphics really hold up to this day.
I’ve never played a Witcher game before this one and I decided to give it a try because it gave me Assassins Creed open world type vibes and I was mind blown. The game was well done, the open world, the missions, everything. This game wanted you to do a bit of everything, playing ghant was great and I felt like I could have played that game within this game for a week. 100/10 definitely want to try out the next gen version
Some are reporting an issue with the dlc previously bought not working with the next gen upgrade (for example alternate triss and yennifer outfits, side missions) only the 2 story dlc.
Sadly, this update has bugged my audio on PC. I can now only hear sound effects lol. Started the game over last night and heard the first two cutscenes fully and then it was gone. All I could hear was a young Ciri jumping from post to post. Hope I am not the only one who has had this issue
I can barely hear anything as far as sound effects are concerned like killing something or hitting something with weapon hardly makes any noise at all as I can barely hear it yet everything else is loud Xbox Series X
@@technologylord4017 Yup same for me on Series X, just tried it out and while everything else is peachy, I noticed the same issue when I was striking some enemies. Sounded like the swings and hits were in mono & muffled, glad I'm not the only one I thought I was going crazy. Hopefully they'll fix that soon.
I just got it. It looks amazing! I’m literally so pumped. It’s one of my favorites and has been years. I will say the old zoomed out camera angles were one of the things that really bothered me, but they definitely got this one right. It’s the little things that make this one near perfect now.
Did you buy the game? I'm debating on getting it on sale now. I'm afraid of it getting monotonous and just a farming and grinding game with no end to the game, just a gear chase. I quit Warcraft because of the aimlessly farming and grinding and cash to play. The game got old and felt like a constant grind and farm machine. I do love God of War Ragnarok, though.
No game had my blood pumping as fast as The Witcher 3 during the big moments like the Battle of Kaer Morhen. No game ever did that. It is more than a game. Its even better than most adventure movies. I even enjoyed the "Fetch Quest" stuff since the writers did everything they could to find actually very funny and original twists to the Fetch (like these guys at the Isle Of Mist) (I mean, come on I laughed my @ss off). This game had me yelling, laughing and I even cried at one point. Or two. This 2022 NextGen is absolutely fantastic. I got a feeling that the future games won't be as good as this one is for several reasons. Thank You, CD Projekt.
@@labret2 my 1050ti went from being able to get 50-60 fps on high (with some mods) to like 20-30 fps. I have to set it to low (with fsr) now to get it to barely 50 and thats outside of large areas like Novigrad. I already had the "integrated mods" before the update so its crazy that my performance tanked that much.
I was never attracted by the game when seeing it’s trailers and I thought it was so overhyped! I gave it a try a few days ago and at the beginning it was meh!!! Then, like almost an hour later I was getting used to it and now I understand why it’s so beloved by people. It’s a freaking masterpiece and the way it keeps u in level is amazingly brilliant, cause you can’t go and get so overpowered finding weapons and fighting a lot to then become like a beast!!! The game holds u back and inspire you to explore and to do all quests that’s are engaging!!! I’m addicted and there’s a lot of things to do in the game. I’m getting use to alchemy system and how magic works, as doing contracts to make a little money which is brilliant and is not like to get rich fast and buy what u want to be greedy!!! The game is a jewel!!! Hope the combat keeps evolving during the play through and new skills get unlocked.
Surprising they released this update for free. Certain game studios would repackage mild adjustments into a bland 10th anniversary edition and charge you for it.
I wouldn’t say the Ray traced GI is subtle. That room and even outside is practically a different color bc one has realistic color bouncing from the light whereas performance doesn’t. Definitely not an easy choice for me
The biggest difference between the game and the TV show for me is that the game literally has a world. Not sets, not other landscapes standing in for story locations. The map is actually there, ready to be beautifully redendered for you at all times. I think the TV show was meaty and excellent but it can't compete with that aspect of the game.
This game held me tight and never let go all these years later I still play it and marvel at the genius storytelling gameplay and pure fun this game has to offer, if you haven’t played by god you’re missing out
I stand by what im saying here in my opinion the witcher 3 wildhunt has some of ther best quests and side quests in the history of gaming and in the history of open world games there are so many memorable quests and side quests in this game and that in it self is an incredible achievement.
One word to describe this game: Dense. Large open world where not an inch is wasted. Wonder off in a random direction and you'll always find something interesting. Sidequests are as fleshed out as the main story.
On series X they’ve done an incredible job with this one. I’ve experienced a few fps drops and the odd texture pop in. But apart from that, they’ve done a fantastic job. I know it’ll get patched to finish this off nicely.
Imagine if it somehow scored lower than the 10/10 it got in the original Gamespot review :’) we all knew where this was going so kudos for telling the score within the first 30 seconds!
I recommend waiting a bit for another patch. Quite a few people having performance problems and crashes, particularly with raytracing on. I'm struggling to get a steady 60fps with an RTX 3060 laptop at 1080p. No raytracing. Also some weird shadow glitches.
Adore this game. Still remember getting emotional to certain scenes in it. So many hours clocked. Ngl though, I was hoping for maybe some more content in terms of better quest resolution or tying up loose ends. Like eg reason of state with djikstra (imo one of the better north endings but doing your boy roche like that...rly), or iorveth returning. but honestly this is a reason for another playthrough. love it.

I was amongst the few that for whatever reason didnt connect w/this game back in its release in 2015. So fast forward to today, I downloaded the next gen update, and 10 hours later this game is absolutely INCREDIBLE. feels like it could be a present day release and it would take out every game out right now.

@drew zeller yeah bro movement and camera are incredibly important to the overall feel and immersion of a game. And I noticed the improvements instantly, which had me scratching my head of how the game played before so I switched the option back to standard for movement and yeah it's SO MUCH BETTER now. Graphics look 👌 so good running at a steady 60fps on PS5 Combat is great quick button select for abilities has improved combat flow 👌 Also, I can now increase text size, might seem like a small detail but for me it's such a gripe when the text size is too small & now that can be modified! If you own the game the update is free you have to love that, they could have easily charged for this like everyone else does. ✌️
Kinda sad that I can't use my save file from my ps4 for the update on my ps5 because I had the vanilla version (even though i also bought the season pass and all DLC which cost more than what came a few years later with the goty edition) and the cross progression only works on the GOTY editions. I still got the free update but I have to start from scratch. I'm not really willing to let my 300+ hour save file and spend more time doing the same stuff again even with the upgrade. Still grateful for CDPR for doing this, since they really didn't have to but I just wished that those that got the vanilla versions could also share in the fun of continuing the journey.
Tbh I gotta ask, is it worth playing? The combat doesn't seem too customizable and it doesn't look good. Also a big map isn't always good when there's a lack of content.
Ive owned this game for over a year now and havent opened it yet. Just finished Sekiro,Stellar Blade and Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. I was going to open Shin Megami but my wife insists that i play this immediately. Im going to start it tonight. Ive heard nothing but great things. So we shall see
To me ray tracing doesn’t do enough of a visual difference to ever justify sacrificing 30 extra frames per second. I bought an Xbox series X so I can finally escape the 30 fps I’ve been used to.
Kinda upset with this update. The content is great, but now my game has the weird flickering/white flecks that appear all over the screen in random patterns. If anyone knows how to stop the weird white static/snowy screen on an Xbox One X/S I would be grateful, I am tech dumb. Its why I don't use PC

I disagree on preferring Performance Mode. It goes well beyond just resolution, and one of the few games I’ve noticed such a significant difference, both indoors and outdoors, between two modes like this. Even outdoors it’s really noticable a lot of the time. I vastly prefer 60 most of the time, but this is one where I will deal with 30 fps for the upgraded visuals. Also, the game was already around 1800p 60 on current gen consoles prior to the update. So it’s really the RT mode that provides the most upgraded experience overall. But, glad to see both options available to players.
I'm so excited! I never got to play it when it first dropped (financial reasons, couldn't afford a console or PC,) but now I will enjoy this highly praised gem on the PS5! Hope all fellow gamers enjoy!
11Noobes, I remember someone told me the same thing; my neighbor said he envied me that I was getting to experience it for the first time and wishes he could again. I did a PC play through of 1,2 and 3 and have been waiting for this for the last year! Salvador, congrats on the PS5 and what sounds a more stable place in life; enjoy the fruits of your labor!
If you are planning on playing this on PC you should wait. Don't get me wrong there are great improvements both to gameplay and to visuals plus the extra content. And all for free! But you likely won't be able to run it. Even when turning off the new settings the game runs significantly worse on PC than it used to. Wait for updates. Hard to be annoyed at a free update, but understandable to be annoyed that even playing on the same settings as I used to is now a significantly worse experience.

*GTX1080 and next-gen comment* DX12 is currently stuttering too much. So switch to DX11 for now until it's patched (so no FSR2/DLSS for now). If you have a Freesync/GSync screen then maybe the stutters are less noticeable. I can't test that (but considering the stutters are quite sudden I doubt a VRR monitor would really help much). For a normal 60Hz monitor I suggest enabling VSYNC and then run or gallop around a town etc and adjust the visual settings to the max you can get with stutters not happening much. Setting to HIGH for a 1440p monitor created a mostly solid 60FPS (VSYNC) experience. I can't use ray-tracing, but switching to Ultra really doesn't look that much different to me. So the game is VERY playable and looks great right now. Again, mostly a stutter (and texture pop-in which may be related) issue.
First thing I disabled was the new camera. It was just too much of a jump from 300 hours of being used to one thing. But hey, it was just one toggle in a beautiful update.

They did not fix the Wolf Armor Scav quest, which is disappointing. It was clearly an oversight in the original game , introducing an armor set that starts at level 14 and making it unobtainable until you get to Kaer Morhen and that oversight is still in the game despite an additional QA pass. In the interview CDPR also specifically fixed this quest, but I guess they meant a bug and not the actual acquisition of the armor. I guess I have to go back to the good ol console commands to add these lvl 14 diagrams to my inventory again, otherwise I won't be able to use this armor until I'm 30 in Kaer Morhen and then I have to craft, and upgrade 2-3 times just so the set is usable.
really feel bad for console players, locked in at 60 fps because they are afraid the poor design of the playstation will cause it to overheat if it is constantly maxing out
I just recently purchased a PS5 and completed God of War Ragnarok 100% complete. I loved the storyline, the graphics, and the game. This is the only game I own, and I am looking to purchase more games. I quit Warcraft because of the aimlessly farming and grinding and cash to play. I was debating on purchasing Diablo 4 ( I've read D4 is a cash grab and aimlessly farming, no clue) Witcher 3, Lies of P, Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima, Jedi Survivor, and Baldurs Gate.. Any suggestions, and is Playstation Plus mandatory or worth it?
I’m not willing to give up performance for Raytracing. Especially in this game when switching between the two modes the quality setting just seems to be a headache waiting to happen.
For me the biggest upgrade would of been restoring the original e3 colour, as I hate the muted oranges greens and brown , that's the main thing I was hoping for in this update, but its still no where near as pleasant looking ad the e3 version , would of been better if the just gave us the ability to use pcmods like skyrim did. Witcher 3 one of my favourite games of all time, CD Projekt Red have made an absolute masterpiece, the story telling, action, everything was excellent, the soundtrack is so good and relaxing, the Skellige track a highlight 🎶 🎧 Geralt of Rivia is an amazing protagonist, still love exploring the game with Roach, riding around, always makes me feel happy👏👏👏🐴 ⚔️
My 3080 was not ready for this game... Initial testing resulted in 45fps at 4k native resolution with all the high end features turned on. I try not to use dlss if I dont have to but what I will say is that the dlss setting was disabled for me anyways so I don't know what's going on there but I need to go dig through the settings more and see what I can do with it because I sure cannot run it maxed out unlike other games from the same year...
on the series x it already ran at a 4k 60fps flawlessly before the update . Now it doesn't run flawlessy with slightly better graphics. In Novigrad it drops significantly in places. All in all, i do love it though, especially the new camera angle. Also they should do a fps boost for witcher 2 on xbox
If you're on PC way a bit.. Even on a 4090 the raytracing isn't really working properly. Crashing or insane frame drops even on the best GPU on the market. (give it a few days allow them to fix it):
When u see ray tracing in Geralts eyes you will know which mode to pick . If you play on console your most likely used to 30 . Obviously 60 is better but the difference in mood shifts with ray tracing . Legit talking to the guy that burnt down the dwarfs forge . shadows and light bouncing and a shadowed face with reflecting yellow eyes !!!!!!! Goosebumps
I have 130 hours on this game already, but now several years later it looks like I'll be going back in and playing it in 4K on my PC. Best game ever IMO.
Really needed this. RPGs feel very stale now. Even when this game originally released it filled a void that Bethesda caused. Skyrim, fallout 4, fallout 76, and ESO all felt like shells of the former titans of RPGs. I miss oblivion and fallout 3/NV days. Not saying the games are bad and by sales they definitely aren’t but they didn’t feel as solid as older entries. dragon age inquisition was an amazing game but dragon age origins just felt like a better rpg considering how vast the player experience can be. Then comes Witcher 3, brought in a dynamic combat, balanced exploration, insane depth side quests, looting that broadens your ability to become the Witcher you want. I typically don’t care for RPGs that don’t let you make your character or have voiced dialogue as the character can say something I really didn’t want to say even though it was the option I wanted to pick. Geralt answers almost everything better than I can imagine. The tight cameras and quick casting almost make this a whole other game. Kudos to Cdpr. There are hundreds of little adjustments that make quest rewards more worth it, fix areas that had awkward exploring, balanced certain fights, etc. if you haven’t beat this game or stopped early, now is the time to play this game and the expansions. I will admit, the start is kind of awkward. Everything is above your level and it can be hard to find the quests needed to progress. Once you get to level 8-10, that’s when the game has hundreds of options to venture and complete.
After not being that bothered for a while my ps5 arrives on friday! Cant wait to pick up on this as I'm only about level 20 on my first ever play through on ps4! Glad to hear all the positives on the review

It’s this and Red Dead 2 for me, both flawless in my opinion.

They paid the modders who created those sorts of enhancements to integrate them into the next-gen update.

@MrSmokinDragon my 3080Ti struggled in 4k with RT so I've disabled RT. Still great with the new HD textures and ultra plus settings

The side quests are the best in gaming, and The Battle For Kaer Morhen was super intense!

@@labret2 my 1050ti went from being able to get 50-60 fps on high (with some mods) to like 20-30 fps. I have to set it to low (with fsr) now to get it to barely 50 and thats outside of large areas like Novigrad. I already had the "integrated mods" before the update so its crazy that my performance tanked that much.
I was never attracted by the game when seeing it’s trailers and I thought it was so overhyped!
I gave it a try a few days ago and at the beginning it was meh!!!
Then, like almost an hour later I was getting used to it and now I understand why it’s so beloved by people.
It’s a freaking masterpiece and the way it keeps u in level is amazingly brilliant, cause you can’t go and get so overpowered finding weapons and fighting a lot to then become like a beast!!!
The game holds u back and inspire you to explore and to do all quests that’s are engaging!!!
I’m addicted and there’s a lot of things to do in the game.
I’m getting use to alchemy system and how magic works, as doing contracts to make a little money which is brilliant and is not like to get rich fast and buy what u want to be greedy!!!

Surprising they released this update for free. Certain game studios would repackage mild adjustments into a bland 10th anniversary edition and charge you for it.
I wouldn’t say the Ray traced GI is subtle. That room and even outside is practically a different color bc one has realistic color bouncing from the light whereas performance doesn’t. Definitely not an easy choice for me

The biggest difference between the game and the TV show for me is that the game literally has a world. Not sets, not other landscapes standing in for story locations.
The map is actually there, ready to be beautifully redendered for you at all times. I think the TV show was meaty and excellent but it can't compete with that aspect of the game.
This game held me tight and never let go all these years later I still play it and marvel at the genius storytelling gameplay and pure fun this game has to offer, if you haven’t played by god you’re missing out
I stand by what im saying here in my opinion the witcher 3 wildhunt has some of ther best quests and side quests in the history of gaming and in the history of open world games there are so many memorable quests and side quests in this game and that in it self is an incredible achievement.
One word to describe this game: Dense. Large open world where not an inch is wasted. Wonder off in a random direction and you'll always find something interesting. Sidequests are as fleshed out as the main story.
On series X they’ve done an incredible job with this one. I’ve experienced a few fps drops and the odd texture pop in. But apart from that, they’ve done a fantastic job. I know it’ll get patched to finish this off nicely.
Imagine if it somehow scored lower than the 10/10 it got in the original Gamespot review :’) we all knew where this was going so kudos for telling the score within the first 30 seconds!
I recommend waiting a bit for another patch. Quite a few people having performance problems and crashes, particularly with raytracing on. I'm struggling to get a steady 60fps with an RTX 3060 laptop at 1080p. No raytracing. Also some weird shadow glitches.
The DX12 build is borked, even with RT turned off. Select DX11 and you'll gain 2x performance while still looking great.

Adore this game. Still remember getting emotional to certain scenes in it. So many hours clocked. Ngl though, I was hoping for maybe some more content in terms of better quest resolution or tying up loose ends. Like eg reason of state with djikstra (imo one of the better north endings but doing your boy roche like that...rly), or iorveth returning. but honestly this is a reason for another playthrough. love it.

I was amongst the few that for whatever reason didnt connect w/this game back in its release in 2015.
So fast forward to today, I downloaded the next gen update, and 10 hours later this game is absolutely INCREDIBLE.
feels like it could be a present day release and it would take out every game out right now.

@drew zeller yeah bro movement and camera are incredibly important to the overall feel and immersion of a game.
And I noticed the improvements instantly, which had me scratching my head of how the game played before so I switched the option back to standard for movement and yeah it's SO MUCH BETTER now.

Combat is great quick button select for abilities has improved combat flow 👌
Also, I can now increase text size, might seem like a small detail but for me it's such a gripe when the text size is too small & now that can be modified!
If you own the game the update is free you have to love that, they could have easily charged for this like everyone else does.

Kinda sad that I can't use my save file from my ps4 for the update on my ps5 because I had the vanilla version (even though i also bought the season pass and all DLC which cost more than what came a few years later with the goty edition) and the cross progression only works on the GOTY editions.
I still got the free update but I have to start from scratch. I'm not really willing to let my 300+ hour save file and spend more time doing the same stuff again even with the upgrade.
Still grateful for CDPR for doing this, since they really didn't have to but I just wished that those that got the vanilla versions could also share in the fun of continuing the journey.
Tbh I gotta ask, is it worth playing? The combat doesn't seem too customizable and it doesn't look good. Also a big map isn't always good when there's a lack of content.

To me ray tracing doesn’t do enough of a visual difference to ever justify sacrificing 30 extra frames per second. I bought an Xbox series X so I can finally escape the 30 fps I’ve been used to.

Kinda upset with this update. The content is great, but now my game has the weird flickering/white flecks that appear all over the screen in random patterns. If anyone knows how to stop the weird white static/snowy screen on an Xbox One X/S I would be grateful, I am tech dumb. Its why I don't use PC

I disagree on preferring Performance Mode. It goes well beyond just resolution, and one of the few games I’ve noticed such a significant difference, both indoors and outdoors, between two modes like this. Even outdoors it’s really noticable a lot of the time. I vastly prefer 60 most of the time, but this is one where I will deal with 30 fps for the upgraded visuals. Also, the game was already around 1800p 60 on current gen consoles prior to the update. So it’s really the RT mode that provides the most upgraded experience overall. But, glad to see both options available to players.
I'm so excited! I never got to play it when it first dropped (financial reasons, couldn't afford a console or PC,) but now I will enjoy this highly praised gem on the PS5! Hope all fellow gamers enjoy!

If you are planning on playing this on PC you should wait. Don't get me wrong there are great improvements both to gameplay and to visuals plus the extra content. And all for free! But you likely won't be able to run it. Even when turning off the new settings the game runs significantly worse on PC than it used to. Wait for updates.
Hard to be annoyed at a free update, but understandable to be annoyed that even playing on the same settings as I used to is now a significantly worse experience.

DX12 is currently stuttering too much. So switch to DX11 for now until it's patched (so no FSR2/DLSS for now). If you have a Freesync/GSync screen then maybe the stutters are less noticeable. I can't test that (but considering the stutters are quite sudden I doubt a VRR monitor would really help much). For a normal 60Hz monitor I suggest enabling VSYNC and then run or gallop around a town etc and adjust the visual settings to the max you can get with stutters not happening much.
Setting to HIGH for a 1440p monitor created a mostly solid 60FPS (VSYNC) experience. I can't use ray-tracing, but switching to Ultra really doesn't look that much different to me. So the game is VERY playable and looks great right now. Again, mostly a stutter (and texture pop-in which may be related) issue.
We still haven't got an auto gallop button for roach! Why add one for geralt and not the horse!
First thing I disabled was the new camera. It was just too much of a jump from 300 hours of being used to one thing. But hey, it was just one toggle in a beautiful update.

It finally Came to ps extra and I’m downloading it atm. I’m so hyped never played a Witcher game before but have played GTA Games and Red Dead Redemption 2 as well as other games. Today is gunna be an amazing day for me yall I hope y’all have a blessed day as well.
They did not fix the Wolf Armor Scav quest, which is disappointing.
It was clearly an oversight in the original game , introducing an armor set that starts at level 14 and making it unobtainable until you get to Kaer Morhen and that oversight is still in the game despite an additional QA pass.
In the interview CDPR also specifically fixed this quest, but I guess they meant a bug and not the actual acquisition of the armor.
I guess I have to go back to the good ol console commands to add these lvl 14 diagrams to my inventory again, otherwise I won't be able to use this armor until I'm 30 in Kaer Morhen and then I have to craft, and upgrade 2-3 times just so the set is usable.
My favorite game of all time. I wish I could erase it from memory to discover it all over again.

I just recently purchased a PS5 and completed God of War Ragnarok 100% complete. I loved the storyline, the graphics, and the game. This is the only game I own, and I am looking to purchase more games.
I quit Warcraft because of the aimlessly farming and grinding and cash to play. The game got old and felt like a constant grind and farm machine with no end. I was debating on purchasing Diablo 4 ( I've read D4 is a cash grab and aimlessly farming, no clue) Witcher 3, Lies of P, Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima, Jedi Survivor, and Baldurs Gate.. Any suggestions, and is Playstation Plus mandatory or worth it?

Shame after using photo mode on Horizon Forbidden West i wanted a great photo mode for The Witcher 3.
I’m not willing to give up performance for Raytracing. Especially in this game when switching between the two modes the quality setting just seems to be a headache waiting to happen.
For me the biggest upgrade would of been restoring the original e3 colour, as I hate the muted oranges greens and brown , that's the main thing I was hoping for in this update, but its still no where near as pleasant looking ad the e3 version , would of been better if the just gave us the ability to use pcmods like skyrim did. Playing on ps5

Witcher 3 one of my favourite games of all time, CD Projekt Red have made an absolute masterpiece, the story telling, action, everything was excellent, the soundtrack is so good and relaxing, the Skellige track a highlight 🎶 🎧 Geralt of Rivia is an amazing protagonist, still love exploring the game with Roach, riding around, always makes me feel happy👏👏👏🐴 ⚔️
My 3080 was not ready for this game... Initial testing resulted in 45fps at 4k native resolution with all the high end features turned on. I try not to use dlss if I dont have to but what I will say is that the dlss setting was disabled for me anyways so I don't know what's going on there but I need to go dig through the settings more and see what I can do with it because I sure cannot run it maxed out unlike other games from the same year...

on the series x it already ran at a 4k 60fps flawlessly before the update . Now it doesn't run flawlessy with slightly better graphics. In Novigrad it drops significantly in places. All in all, i do love it though, especially the new camera angle. Also they should do a fps boost for witcher 2 on xbox

If you're on PC way a bit.. Even on a 4090 the raytracing isn't really working properly. Crashing or insane frame drops even on the best GPU on the market. (give it a few days allow them to fix it):
When u see ray tracing in Geralts eyes you will know which mode to pick . If you play on console your most likely used to 30 . Obviously 60 is better but the difference in mood shifts with ray tracing . Legit talking to the guy that burnt down the dwarfs forge . shadows and light bouncing and a shadowed face with reflecting yellow eyes !!!!!!! Goosebumps

Really needed this. RPGs feel very stale now. Even when this game originally released it filled a void that Bethesda caused. Skyrim, fallout 4, fallout 76, and ESO all felt like shells of the former titans of RPGs. I miss oblivion and fallout 3/NV days. Not saying the games are bad and by sales they definitely aren’t but they didn’t feel as solid as older entries. dragon age inquisition was an amazing game but dragon age origins just felt like a better rpg considering how vast the player experience can be. Then comes Witcher 3, brought in a dynamic combat, balanced exploration, insane depth side quests, looting that broadens your ability to become the Witcher you want. I typically don’t care for RPGs that don’t let you make your character or have voiced dialogue as the character can say something I really didn’t want to say even though it was the option I wanted to pick. Geralt answers almost everything better than I can imagine. The tight cameras and quick casting almost make this a whole other game. Kudos to Cdpr. There are hundreds of little adjustments that make quest rewards more worth it, fix areas that had awkward exploring, balanced certain fights, etc. if you haven’t beat this game or stopped early, now is the time to play this game and the expansions. I will admit, the start is kind of awkward. Everything is above your level and it can be hard to find the quests needed to progress. Once you get to level 8-10, that’s when the game has hundreds of options to venture and complete.
