    Im my opinion, wolven is the way to play. Not only does it provide good and effective gameplay, but it also is the most immersive in my opinion. Geralt should be using all the things he has at his disposal, plus it’s his school’s armor.

    • @h80np39
      @h80np39 Před rokem +195

      I absolutely agree with that, especially the immersion part. It just makes sense for geralt to go with the armor of his own school, as it would suit his combat style the most.

      Just a shame that you can't get the Wolven Armour until you're about halfway or so through the base game (since you can't get the base version's diagrams until the plot has you go to Kaer Morhen).

      I have not yet played NG+ nor Next-gen version, but I will do so. The game is really great, but after some time it has weaker moments. I agree that the fights should be harder or more engaging in some way. It could have much less opponents, but with better AI and more capable so that playing a Witcher is more like in books and less hack'n'slash.

    Truly the best Witcher 3 next gen video around. I can only imagine the effort that went into not just the production but acquiring all the gear, and formulating the early/mid/late game point allocations! Last I played W3 was when it first came out, and I did Cat build very similar to yours here. I started out a new playthrough and got bored doing the same thing, so I happened upon this video. I switched out to the Griffin sign based build, and it's a lot of fun!

The weight of those blasts is one of the best feelings I've had in any game I've played. The ragdoll effects of an instant kill can be insane, as well. I sent a bandit flying over a distant hill, cartwheeling in midair. Adding that to those gorgeous sword kill animations makes for some epic battles. Thanks!

    This is by far the best build guide for Witcher 3 that I have seen - well thought out, while striving between a balance of fun interactions and good damage output and decisions made based upon synergies and set fantasy (since Skellige is all about extremes and hardiness - a Witcher using Bear armor and being a towering-way-too-much-potion-imbibing indestructible madman is definitely appropriate) and not just going for Euphoria sword/sign play regardless of the set used while not considering any alternatives. At some point, when you play through the game at want to mix things up, this definitely provides you with good inspiration. Great video, the work is definitely appreciated!

    This video is awesome! Thanks for making such a detailed guide. It is clear that you put a lot of time and experimentation into it to get these great builds. I like the wolf one because it feels like the most immersive. It's Geralt's school, and it is the most balanced, relying on both signs and swords. That said, the Viper build is rediculously overpowered. The fact that you can run troll, ekimara, and katakan, and still have room for potions means that you always have great health regeneration. Then whirl with aerondight, and all the other uprades, can kill most enemies very quickly. Viper is also the cheapest and easiest to get since you don't have to upgrade all the way.

    For the Forgotten Wolven set, I like to go with Gorged On Power and Focus skills instead of Muscle Memory and Precise Blows. Makes the Aard much more effective as you build adrenaline, while not making fast attacks a no brainer, leading to more combo variations with heavy attacks. Also I just stock up on Greater Veles runestones, as you don't need that extra sword damage for the build to unleash it's full potential. Nonetheless, great builds! Love the content!

    This is the video I’ve been looking for. Precise, simple, thorough. I am a beginner and it is very overwhelming. What to do and where to go and what is going on. And I’ve read all the books. But actually being Geralt is way different than seeing him in your mind lol

    I personally would love for you to do some video on some more niche and silly builds. Like, since I notice there are some itens in the game that boost your exp gain I was wondering if it’s possible to do a max exp gain build or at least something similar. The same goes to gold received or a crossbow/bombs build.

    As an alternative to swapping the 6 piece bonus for Aerondight something I've been having fun with lately is combining the 3 piece bonus from two Witcher sets. One of my favorites so far has been a mix of bear and manticore.
    It mostly involved carpet bombing things with well leveled bombs and then rolling over them with whirl and quen. Definitely not the most optimised build ever but so much fun

    My favorite build is endless Whirlwind.
    Adrenalin gained by every attack, Aerondight with reach, trigger whirl and dont stop as long as you hit enemies.
    Wanted to exploit this for leveling up Aerondight quickly and found it too fun to give up.
    Further every Adrenalin point is boosting critical hits and sign intensity.

    I love this! As stupid as this might sound; I have well over 700h in this game but on my first Playthroughs I didn't really engage with the combat rpg elements of the game beyond "Oh look - this sword has a higher number". Until a few months ago I found it quite difficult to come up with a Build that isn't just fun but also worth a damn so this Video is perfect for me and also I'm reinstalling the game again....

    So I have some questions. Is the general perk that causes adrenaline points to increase sign damage worth it. Is it like a multiplicative boost? Second can you do an ideal crossbow and bomb build? Point of fact, I was suprised that the manticore build on here wasn't a bomb one, since it is the only set that can really do it. Also can you go over some of the lesser known mutations in builds. I really love how you used metamorphosis in your bear build and I will definitely be trying that out.

    It seems to me like carrying Wraith Decoction might synergize well with that Bear build; free Quen shield when a hit takes 1/3 of your health off and the set bonus gives you a chance to cast another when that one shatters.
    Edit: So I just realized, you can't actually stash decoctions. So I guess you have to permanently drop your decoctions? Which means once you commit to this build there's really no going back since decoctions can really only be made once. Well I guess technically you can make them again in NG+, but if you do you've hamstrung the build unless you throw that decoction away again.

    I just recently found a silver sword named Gesheft and I think it would be better for the griffin sign build I found it after following the wisp in the land of a thousand fables after killing the cloud giant and the silver sword for me does 981-1199 damage and adds 20 percent sign intensity on all of the signs I think this would make the griffin build even stronger.

    • @michaelklein3244
      @michaelklein3244 Před 2 měsíci

      You need 6 piece Griffen for 40% bigger traps to fight in for the bonus and the stamina regen AND sign intensity increased by 100% and damage reduction reduced by 20% if you don't use both swords you're trading all that for that Geshef bonus. Not worth it by no means.

    On ur Griffin build you should try Eruption instead of Rotation. Explosions are much more fun imo
    Also the Ekhidna and Ekimara potion go well with the Griffin build because one increases stamina regen by +2 per second after every standard signs cast and the other regenerates health whenever using stamina to cast a sign
