- I pulled up just in time to catch this one! This is CSX number 7505, a rebuilt AC4400CW (re-classed by CSX as CM44AH), performing an automatic engine startup. You can hear the alerter bell, the fuel pump, the air compressor, and more...the whole process is shown, from start to finish. Turn up your speakers and enjoy!

One of my Favorite Locomotive
What a cool design
I love these videos for comparing the HO scale version to the real thing...thanks!
My neighbors does 😂. He’s had a lifter about to fall out the cylinder head for over and year. I can literally hear him turn onto our street like 15 houses away, sounds like he’s on the 5 yr oil change interval plan. It’s like a 2000 Kia Sorento I think and the engine outside is louder than the radio will go at wide open I would bet money, and dude is so gangster he keeps on rocking it like he don’t hear anything 😂
It sounds much quieter than the original AC4400
So true. I freaked out because I was worried my N Scale one was shorting out
Whoop!!
It almost sounds like a freaking P42DC 💀
Both locomotives are powered by the 7FDL16 diesel engine.

@@joshthetrainfan Except the only difference is the Genesis units are equipped with HEP since they are passenger locomotives. Which is why you'll often hear them running at a constant 900 RPM since they have to supply voltage to the passenger cars.
Those are junk. They paid over the rust. I hate em
