Sad to see C through his drug addiction in this video. You can see it get progressively worse through each video and it’s sad
Crack is wack
Yep n the dark thing is some people were laughing at it n saying he went broke RIP DMX
It bums me out becase he reminds me of my dad who had the same issue.
That’s because 1 of his guy use to lace blunts with other hard drugs and he didn’t know it. That’s how it started and by the time he knew it was too late .
Hard as the years go on to see X's speech and thought patterns getting worse due to his drug addictions.......one of the best of all-time to do it.
I literally came here just to type this.
RIP X man... definitely one of the best to ever do it. It's a shame we never got to see him, Jay & Ja on a track again.
Glad we got x nd 50 tho
@@Masedogg10k50’s a bum

X & Jay were threatened by Ja. They hated on dude for nothing
@@FinesseTheFrankI don’t remember them hating on Ja. DMX was right to think that Ja was biting his style. I thought that was his protege when I first heard the track.
@@FinesseTheFrank😂😂😂 "ok"

I agree DMX. Jz talented with no heart compared to you. RIP to the Heart..1-Love
A Pac and X track would have been insanity.
No doubt
Most Definitely.
I think they would’ve been tight ass friends
They were supposed to battle. It was set up when Ruff Ryders was just a management team. Suge Knight flew them out to Cali when he was tryna sign DMX, the LoX, and Mase (before Mase and the LoX got signed to Bad Boy, of course). Dee and Waah always planned for Ruff Ryders to be a label but didn’t have any capital. So they started out just managing artists. X signed to RR first. Then he brought the LoX- who were a young group from his neighborhood. And they traveled all over the north east in NY, NJ, Philly, Baltimore, etc. going and battling whoever was top dog. They ran through Harlem one day killing every rapper that came out… Then, somebody ran and got Mase- who came out in a wife beater, bball shorts, and flip flops to spit. Mase and Kiss battled, and Mase was the only rapper in Harlem that day who didn’t get killed. No winner was declared … and Waah brought Mase on to the team that same day.
As management, Waah was sending out demos and setting up meetings at a bunch of labels. One day, Suge reached out and flew the Ruff Ryders out to Cali to sign with Death Row. The world didn’t know anything about DMX, but he was already known as the big dog every place he ever went and rapped. And this was at the very beginning of the Bad Boy vs Death Row situation… which actually only started as a PERSONAL issue between Puff and Suge- but started spilling over into something else after the infamous Source Awards. And when the media got a hold of it, they turned Suge vs Puff into D.R. vs B.B…. then from D.R.vs B.B. into L.A. vs N.Y. … and ultimately into East Coast vs West Coast.
But yeah… This meeting took place in the beginning of that BEFORE it started becoming a life or death situation. But Suge brought Pac to Death Row after bailing him outta jail. And of course, Pac jumped into the situation… and when asked about whether he thought a problem with Bad Boy could potentially interfere with doing business in N.Y., Pac essentially said “No, because it’s a PERSONAL situation with individuals. But you know Pac… He didn’t leave it there. He added “…BUT if anybody else had something to say or wanted to defend BiG, Puff, and Bad Boy bc they’re from NY, then F*ck New York, too.”
And that’s when X dropped a few lines in freestyles on mixtapes. One of them ended up being used a few years later when he was signed to Def Jam… The last verse on “Get at Me Dog” when he said, “Transformin’ a$$ 🥷🏾 get it quick; and for real, that 🥷🏾 K (talkin about K-Solo) can suck my d-!”
In the original version, he said “Tupac” and not K-Solo. And there were a few more DMX tracks circulating where he sent shots at Pac.
So when Suge brought DMX, the LoX, and Mase to Cali to sign with Death Row, Pac had agreed to battle and chop it up w/ DMX. But when the Ruff Ryders got to Cali, they didn’t go to the hotel or anything, they went straight to the studio and Pac didn’t show up.
The whole reason Waah started the Ruff Ryders was because he was tight with Heavy D from Mt. Vernon. Waah had gone to prison and wanted to go straight and leave the criminal life. He asked Heavy D. how to get into the industry, and Heav gave him the game. But Waah couldn’t start a label without capital. So he got a few artists and signed on as management. First was X, then X brought the LoX (who were in high school), and then Mase.
They had the meeting, Suge LOVED them, and they discussed the business. The offer Suge made was CRAZY! And even better, he asked Waah to run the label. He bought an office in the middle of NYC complete with multiple studios equipment and everything. And told Waah that he could run it however he wanted, sign whoever he wanted, and have 100% creative control. And when Suge respected you at that time, he stood on business. The amount of money he offered was already bananas… But then on top of that, he was literally GIVING Waah exactly what Waah wanted from the beginning… a whole label! The signing bonuses and budgets were crazy. Suge and Interscope would handle the distribution, all of that. AND the artists all had the rights to their publishing (AFTER the label recouped what they put out). Literally EVERYTHING about the deal was perfect… Except for one thing.
The catch was simple. The label that Waah was running was NOT gonna be his own. It was Death Row East. So here you have 5 guys who would become mega superstars along with the hustle and grind ambition that Waah had… and literally ALL of those guys were from the streets flat broke. They have this meeting with what was the biggest label in music at the time with unlimited funds and connections. They could’ve ALL had checks in their hands that very moment and an amount of money that they’d never seen before at one time deposited into their bank accounts as a bonus just for signing the deal. Then a brand new studio along with monster budgets right then. But they all said No.
The whole reason Waah started Ruff Ryders was to build something special for his family and future generations. The name and the brand was more important to him than any dollar amount. And Waah couldn’t do it. That was a deal breaker for him!
That was already special enough, but peep. When they made the decision, ALL of the artist backed Waah’s decision. Nobody broke rank. Nobody tried to work out an individual deal, nothing. A group of poor, hungry brothas coming straight from the mud with 7 figure checks that would’ve changed every one of their families’ lives IMMEDIATELY. And they turned it down… TOGETHER.
That made Suge respect them even more for that. And they all showed each other love from that moment.
It’s sad to hear X doing interviews high..RIP to a legend

From 98-2000 Dmx really was the top rapper out. I’m a huge DMX fan. The problem with X was his 4th album. It wasn’t great. Jay came out with blueprint and really took the crown after that. You crazy. It probably helped. We don't know the demons he was fighting.
@@TeenaDavis101 facts brotha 💯
13:48 The Murder, Inc group had already formed in 1998 not 1999. They already had the song Murdergram out on the 1998 Streets Is Watching Soundtrack where they are credited as Murder, Inc
DMX didn’t walk out of the Death Row meeting because of “not liking the deal that HE was offered.” He walked out because of the deal that Waah was offered. Suge was essentially tryna cut the Ruff Ryders name out. And if you know anything about X, you know that he can’t be bought. Just ask Puff!
Waah took X to Bad Boy with the LoX and Ma$e. And Puff signed everyone EXCEPT for X… Saying that X was too gritty, too rough, and not marketable. So both Mase AND the LoX fought to get X on their albums. Those joints combined with mixtape freestyles and features with other artists like Black Rob, Mic Geronimo, DJ Clue, and more built X’s buzz like crazy. So by the time Def Jam signed X, he’d already built a crazy fan base and everybody knew he was special.
So right after Def Jam signed him, Puff went to him behind everyone else’s back (everyone like Lyor Cohen, Russell Simmons, and Def Jam as well as DMX’s agent, management, and team. And Puff offered to double X’s budget AND give him a big signing bonus.
He said it best. "He is talented, but he has no heart, or no soul".....RIP DMX.

X made it very clear he did not fear Jay-z when it comes to the Rap Game, when Jay-z finally had a Opportunity to take a Win from X is when he left him high and dry after the 6th album due to DMX being more Popular for East coast Rap then Jay-Z and Jay hated that low key so he Dub X off Def Jam. What’s crazy is Jay wrote off nearly $13MM X owed Def Jam! That’s crazy and very ungrateful. Tell the entire story though!

8:58 They weren't freestyling as Jay-Z rapped his first verse from his song This Life Forever and DMX rapped his verse from Drag-On's song Let's Get Crazy
back in the 90s, freestyling meant using pre-written songs/rhymes on a different beat. freestyling off the dome happened too but albums took like a year to make, so to promote their upcoming songs, they'd "freestyle" a new song that didnt come out yet or a song from an album that just came out that wasn't a single
