Luda is super underrated. He had more punchlines than 95% of commercial rappers and ran the charts for over a decade and still never gets talked about in top 5 lists. I'm not even from the south and think it's criminal
In the south he's damn near on everyones top 5. To this day ppl still say "uuuuus a hoeeeee" from time to time lol. Hell freestyle bars from mouthing off and word of mouf still get quoted
@@RubenRyb66 it shouldn't just be in the south it should be worldwide having Ludacris in your top 10 or top 5
I agree
Same here it’s weird he doesn’t get the credit he deserves
when it comes to real classics T.I. have "Paper Trail". Jeezy has "Thug Motivation 101".
Ludacris have "Red Light District" that album is a real classic but yet it's overlooked
"Stay off the t.i.p. of mah diyyyyyaahhhhhhh!!!!" Hardest line luda has ever said in history!
Pause…

Lol. Ludacris made his verse after hearing TIP verse
I miss hearing and watching ludas crazy ass music videos. We need that again in hiphop

Low key - that move Young Buck pulled is a perfect example of why 50 Cent distanced himself from him.
💯💯💯
Instigatin smh
Sounds like something 50 would have done.
He didn’t let Ludacris hear it. This guy is wrong on that. It was a dj who helped produce the song that showed Ludacris. T.I. was upset with the producer. That’s why buck asked t.I. cause he wasn’t stirring up drama but hearing that verse of course he would want it on the album. He is acting like he was the person who put it together but the producer who was cool with both Luda and buck is the reason Ludacris heard it.
I'd call this more of a friendly rivalry than beef with this explanation, which is nice, honestly. We need more competition between artists, but no real beef. Healthy competition breeds fresh ideas since all parties will be looking to be better.
Luda invited TI to the frank stand.. that’s not friendly my boy, if anything that’s beef
Right when it was bout to turn into a real beef they settled it
They played a lot of people to blow each other up. You think this wasn't planned being from the same state, area etc. Luda says it in so many words! think about it lol
I agree I heard these 2 were seen in public during this battle shaking hands and hanging out
Funny thing is TI first album “I’m serious” was his most slept on albums

The most quietest beef in rap history.
Critics didn't like I'm Serious, but the South loved it.
I like I'm serious better than trap music cause he told good stories on that album I'm serious was the lamest song on the album why do a video to that

TI vs Ludacris: What happened? They got old, started families, started acting careers and looked back at the situation. "How about we one-up each other on who can go bigger on family trips? Starting point is Valley Fair".
Are you from Minnesota?
That back n forth was a savage time. Luda and tip dissing eachother on the same record was so sick.
I still got the record with BOTH T.I. & Luda on it! THAT, to me.... is what made the song so much sicker! 🔥🔥🔥
TI was feeling himself at the time self-proclaiming himself the king of the south going after other southern rappers. Luda destroyed him on a track and that was the end of that.
I'm actually still a fan of Luda and can't stand TI but the way CB snuck it in there was a complete b**** move
Man TI was still calling himself the king of the south. Luda won but it didn’t do shit to TIs career. Stomp was 2003/2004. TI went on to become wayyy more popular after the beef
T.i. actually got way bigger after this.
@@thegreatone6272
That’s because Ludacris let him.
@@Illmatic458 "Let him"....🤦🏾♂️😂
I’m glad that these guys put their differences aside before things went too far.
Believe that 1000
T.i foolishly thought that just because he was a street rapper he was go easily roll over Luda, he didn't realize the streets mess with Luda too and ended up getting flamed, like a bully that picked on the wrong quiet kid in class.
Love TI but he is a diva. Acts like a jealous ex
@@KenKaniff-dw4jwman stfu. You don’t even know him.
I originally was on T.I.’s side with this. But as time went on, I learned he started this beef unnecessarily. Ludacris didn’t do anything in this situation other than defend himself. You’re right T.I. was a bully that picked on the wrong quiet kid in class, Ludacris and got his ass handed to him.
It's about time, 2 best ATL Rappers in 2000s
Man look, talk to em!
You're acknowledging that a Chicago rapper is better than an Atlanta rapper
@@DarkKent234 who's the Chicago rapper?
@@Illmatic458 Luda was born in Chicago but moved to ATL at a very young age.
@@am2382 they said he was born in Champaign not Chi-Town. Besides when he went to ATL that's when he started rapping. He officially became an ATL rapper ever since.
Luda is one of the very few Atlanta artists to make it big without being birth from or associated with dungeon family.
That could be due to him not being from Atlanta. Dungeon Family is like the heart of ATL so it's hard NOT to be associated with them.
I hate wen people stat wrong facts smdh Luda is affiliated with dungeon family silly ass boys…y’all wudnt know bc u ain’t from the A
On the song I'm Talking To You, I always thought that was aimed at Flip, because in the last verse T.I. name off rappers he cool with and the only one he seemingly don't name is Flip
That’s what I thought too. That beat was hard though.
It was aimed at flip.... Dude just talking
I think I heard it's a Rick Ross diss
Right exactly. Also Tip was hating on flip hard he had to be because T.I. Saw how flip was shining and doing features so tip saw flip as competition. The only advantage that T.I. Had over flip is that T.I. Could rap better and more catchier songs.
Both Luda n T.I was my favorite Rappers back then regardless of them beefing. It never went anywhere it was just words on record's n it wasn't like they had tha type of beef 50 n ja got they just kept it in tha studio n on record for tha world the hear.
Nobody could see Luda. He’s playfulness had fools thinking everything was all sweet😂
Luda killed T.I on that "War Of The Gods" track Ludacris won this beef as far as disses goes

Luda dropped the hardest lines on stomp, he forsure won this “beef”
Let's not forget this started around the time that Luda did that verse on that Made You Look remix which I think put him in the upper tier of emcees. Plus he was hopping on features left and right. He was diverse and consistent. Hard to top that organic feeling he gave you with his music/videos.
Lies? Luda beef started in the 90s . The beef started with i20 vs t.i radio rap battle. T.i went at ludacris for being i20 friend. T.i got interview saying it and i20 also on CZcams .
Thanks for this, please continue to make new episodes because someone else seems to have stopped making ‘what really happened ‘videos. I won’t say hid name but iykyk 😂
T.I. Was my favorite rapper growing up through all of this but I still loved Luda too.
Bruh, keep it up!!! This shit be so thorough and straight to the point!!!
Bro I remember when this channel was only GTA 4 content glad to see man didn't fall into obscurity also this video was fire especially the editing but please fix the audio pitching
Ludacris is much more witty with wordplay for T.I. but can also come directly out and say names. T.I. ain't no slouch but Luda will always win the word war. Luda responded to 3 rappers at the SAME DAMN TIME!
TIP the best.

In my oh so humble opIniOn.... Never was a "beef". Two men came together with a plan & strategy. One had a bigger name, the other had a name and with potential. They decided to help each other. What's fye about it, is neither allowed their egos to get in the way. DAS IT....
Everyone knows if they were in the booth at the same time it would be different
Salute great content
I heard TI was shady towards Luda because he was not a Georgia native.
I'm an Atlanta native and we seem to have more non natives than natives even some who represent Atlanta.
Facts!
Luda cooked him the end
My favorite rappers! A collaboration album would have been huge 😔
@JohnAnthonyHD can you do D12 vs Royce da 5'9?
I still feel that diss from Luda to T.I. On Buck’s Stomp remix and now hearing the reason why T.I. Took His verse off that track really made Luda the Winner
Buck took Tip off tho...
Yeah because T.I. Wanted Luda to change His vers and since Luda refused, T.I. Told Buck to take His verse off that made T.I. Look bad
I remember this with Luda getting the best last word and Harris was too flamed and hammed down to respond with anything else both are pretty lyrical but Ludas disses due to the punchlines, delivery, emotion, energy, agression, and passion hits more tangier yeah.
T.I. is the better rapper

Sound like these two guys talked behind the scenes and basically agreed they weren’t really beefing. No one was gone get shot at or any of the nonsense like that, and they’d just go back and forth on records. Basically all marketing.
They Beef was strictly entertainment and even with real tension they handled it like men. Real leader ish

I don’t know why Ti thought he could go Bar for Bar with Luda. Shiddd when Luda was on made you look remix with Nas and Jada🔥🔥
There needs to be a deep dive into the WAR WITH GOD song... I always felt like Ludacris dissed 3 people on that song. Each person had a dedicated verse
Your right.
Shut up
he said no names, so we'll never know who he was really dissing
@@kiz5562 true..... But the same way he slipped the "t.i. lines" in he did it for two other rappers using song titles or bars from their song. I can give my opinion but I don't wanna be loud wrong
@@ILL_WILL912interesting... Who do you have in mind?? I always felt T.I. was dissin Rick Ross on "I'm talking to you" because he named everybody except Ross lmaoo
@JohnAnthonyHD you need to do a “What Happened?” on TI vs Lil Flip.
Nothing against T.I. but Luda had it all the way his verses were harder but I like both of their music.
My favorite beef even if it’s not personal.
Word of Mouf vs King
Chicken-n-Beer vs Trap Muzik
Red Light District vs Paper Trail
4:43 & 5:16 You got the release time wrong. I-20's song Fightin In The Club came out in 2003, it even says so on the vinyl CD. After I-20's music video is when T.I. did that freestyle on Rap City Tha Bassment where he threw a shot at Disturbing Tha Peace
Why was there no audio towards the end on that 2008 snippet? Or am I bugging 🤔
They both capitilized from that situation. Shouts out to the south
You know times have changed when only selling 100k ablums is considered a flop, when a good number of artists are barely seeing those types of numbers nowadays......

16:02 Actually in 2010 T.I. mentioned his beef with Ludacris in his song Castle Walls "So while they stay focused on me beefin' with Flip or Shawty Lo and Gucci or Ludacris"
That «No Mercy» album is mad slept on. Crazy
Just seems like it was more competitive than an actual beef
As soon as i see the headline of the video, I immediately thought of the Young Buck song, "Stomp" off the DJ Whoo Kid mixtape with both those artists and they were going at each other on that song.
T.I also had on a yellow shirt on, when he dissed Luda…
The word ludicrous means crazy. Luda knew Tip wasn’t talking about him💯
Ironically thats where Luda got his name from.
Luda ripped Tip to shreds
This was hip hop they for the most part kept it in the studio
Young Buck saw it as a marketing opportunity lmao
This was a friendly rivalry for one T.I. Was a young hot head and had a point to prove
Props on going more depth on this. I only knew of what Drama said on Beef III. SUB. way better than that Quake fool.
I’m Serious is a classic

TI is a serious dude. federal jail time and throwing hands on mayweather
It wasn’t about marketing and the beef started with I-20 on the radio station

So every rapper that reps Atlanta is originally not from there 😱😂
Luda bodied him
T.I a try hard and he tries too hard to sound gangster to sound hard then he went crying when he heard ludas response hahaha he funny
Word Of Mouf is such a classic ❤
That's was a good battle
T.I. Was actually dissing Rick Ross on “I’m talking to you”. Ross just wasn’t famous just YET. But the beef was over T.I. “Doin My Job” beat that was produced by Kanye West. That beat actually belonged to Rick Ross first and Tip pretty much stole the beat from him lol
12:30 Black Bill Gates is a DJ I believe. Ima do me is Rocko’s song that was added on that mixtape
Fun Fact Ludacris mentioned TI in the linear notes on Incognegro.
Thats funny, bc I bought the Bootleg version of Bucks album, & it had the original version with TI & Ludacris
I fux wit tip more..... but that "war with God"! maaaaaane 🔥
U gotta do the chris brown drake beef since it's over now
You're skipping the intro to Chicken & Beer, Southern Fried Intro where he's dissing T.I. saying he's "In These Streets*, which was the name of T.I.'s mixtape series before Trap Muzik & saying he had his crew, Posse Family Cartel, which was a play on T.I.'s group Pimp Squad Click
I know what happen. Luda ate T.I. boots twice and T.I. act like it ain't happen after it was squashed
Luda is sooo underrated. He's been killing tracks way before and after TI.

Never sound like a real beef.
At the end of the day Luda is a far superior rapper.
I discovered ludacris as a kid from friends. I bought his albums and listened to them front to back but i was never one who followed the culture. That developed later. I was today years old when i found out this beef even existed. Makes complete sense in hindsight tho
