00:00:05 1. Remove passenger side console trim
00:00:23 2. Remove dash bezel
00:00:50 3. Remove driver side console trim
00:01:08 4. Remove start/stop button trim and disconnect wiring harness
00:01:42 5. Remove 10mm bolts
00:02:40 6. Pull out multimedia unit
00:03:36 7. Remove trim in front of screen
00:04:12 8. Remove rear trim from screen
00:04:39 9. Remove 10mm bolts at bottom of screen
00:05:23 9b. Remove 10mm bolt on back of screen
00:05:34 10. Remove joystick trim panel
00:06:13 10b. Route joystick controller cable
00:07:11 11. Remove screen
00:07:36 11b. Plug LVDS cable into monitor and route other end
00:08:23 12. Route new monitor cable_
00:09:44 12b. Reposition screen
00:10:03 13. Mount Wi-Fi antenna
00:10:58 14. Connect CAN cable
00:12:31 15. Connect wiring harness
00:13:45 15b. Connect audio harness
00:14:36 16. Route USB cable to passenger footwell
00:15:21 17. Wrap up and hide 3.5mm Aux cable
00:15:35 18. Set dipswitches
00:15:51 19. Plug in connections to CarPlay module (make sure dipswitches already set)
00:17:24 20. Apply foam-tape to CarPlay module_
00:17:49 21. Tuck CarPlay module behind radio_
00:18:35 22. Reconnect everything before testing

Hello sir. Thank you very much for this video. It is the most helpful video I found on CZcams and internet. I am in Canada I have the same system and car, I follow your instruction 100% but I am having two problems, first the system connect to my phone as carplay which make no sounds at all while calling or receiving calls I have to manually to set car accessories system so it will have sounds; secondly everytime I start the car, the music is playing without any sound, I have to use the physical button (to mute or stop music) and turn on again the sound will be back to normally. Would you mind to share on the main device what you put 0100xxxxx. I tried many times but seems no one solve the issue. Hope to hear from you. Thank you again

Why did you disconnect the gray cable when you started working on the screen? Should that be done for a 2017 RX 350 base model?

Is the retrofit the same as the road top retrofit and is the connections the same for 2016 RX 350 with the joystick?
We are not familiar with that unit, however our system connects to the OEM radio and screen, the system is controlled with the joystick and voice. Thank you!!

Why did you disconnect the grey cable on monitor?
We do that as standard to prevent any issues. That is usually there to stop the screen from blinking.
