Milti drop and otherwise.I have been driving commercially for one year now and my vlogs are here to show you what driving a HGV the the UK is really like, I don't delete the bad bits its all raw and as it happens.

Legends have guts... ur not legendary yet
You missed the Road part out. We don't have tarmac either. also you might want to google the meaning of Legend, beside that its just a brand name like the band the killers, (here's a secret, They don't actually kill)
@@truckerjay you live near me, I work for Sims haulage, =)
I saw the ad markers....I close
It happens to the best of us jay. It happened to me when I was delivering to a coachworks the yard was so tight with cars.i scrapped my van and cracked a bumper on a car
He's got guts to show it. He didn't have to show the world and have others giving their two cents about it.You need one of those 12v travel kettles or a 12v coffee maker
shows the integrity of your character... well done for your honesty.
Loads of yards are ancient, only made for class 2 s, but office wallers still send artics because of the volume they can carry, some diabolical yards, but that's the job.
Top job Jay. You handled that better than when I ripped one of our curtains back in December. It ruined my day and I was gutted, but it was refreshing to see you brush it off and carry on as you did.
Well Done For Showing The Damage Jay. Could Happen To A Bishop....:)
It's Showing This Stuff That Will Stand To You In The Long Run.
Top Job ,And we've All Been There Lad.
fare play ned your a sound divil
Ned you legend 😁🍺
Very true Ned. I drive govt vehicles always best to be honest and own up.
I think it’s important to show my mistakes so others can learn from it. That’s the whole point of my channel from the start to show the job as it is, so many comments saying I’m an idiot while that may be true at least it’s not sugar coated, looking forward to your next one Ned when ever that is. Stay safe
Trucker Jay In the UK
I wouldn’t be able to show any
Damage like that on my videos or the company would have a canary!
I posted a pic once of my front grill only after another truck hit me and I was told to take it down. I got fed up of them calling me every other day saying some gypsy or cyclist was on again complaining so I just packed it in for now 😄😄🍺🍺🍺
Unlucky on clipping the cadge bud. Not the end of the world just a bit of plastic and a dented pride! Could have been a lot worse. That yard needs a bloody good sort!!
Did something similar on a job last week mate...tight reverse for trailer, obstacles everywhere...then ..wallop!.... Shit happens mate and any driver that claims otherwise is a liar!....keep up the good work 👍👍
We have all done something we look back at saying I should have........ . Good of you to show it and no one was hurt .
Hi Jay , thank you for another great video , did you know that there is a new Truck Stop in Stoke the post code is ST3 2PU and it's on Willow Row , take care stay safe and drive carefully 👍👍👍
Great video Jay don't worry the damage can be repaired
back luck there jay we all have days like that stay calm and carry on
Thank you Jay. Enjoyed your video as always. Sorry about your mishap. No one is Perfect but you just one off it. Hope all goes well for you Take care and stay safe and safe trucking. John Whitehouse
An inverter is a great idea. I had one but sharing a truck so it was just the two of us. I've tried using it now but it is a pain and so it just stays at home as I never know what I'm getting each day. It was nice knowing I'd be driving the same truck everyday but times change. We lost the contract for the work.
Hey jay, you seem a straightforward guy keep up the good work lad
Not sure, but I like front camera view, gives a feeling of speed. On the subject of Legends, we all have to build up to, what we aspire to be. Good call
Great vlog Jay unlucky about the damage..everyone makes mistakes & billy Bowie main yard is in Scotland 20 minutes from me in Kilmarnock big yard.
Great video mate really appreciate it
With a yard like that it was an accident waiting to happen, unbelievable what some people expect! Great video mate
Nice video jay carry on the good videos
I know exactly how you feel Jay, I once did exactly the same, trying to manoeuvre round in a stupidly tight yard. After that, if I thought it was to tight. They either moved said obstruction, or there's no delivery. I hoped this was your chance to get shut of the Renault, once and for all. 😂
Another smashing video (sorry) well done for showing it! We have all done it, always best to hold your hands up! I was taking a double deck bus for Test and the mirror just clipped a tree branch and swung it back through the door glass, got to be the worse time to do this, but hey ho!! That’s life!
I was in a builders merchants yard the other day that likes to put all the stuff for their own deliveries out in the yard and expect you to manoeuvre around it all to get into the bay to tip. I got the back end in the bay and was watching the front bumper as it brushed the last aggregate bag when the there was a cracking sound. Got out and it would seem the handle/strap got caught round the headlamp guard and snapped it, although I couldn't find any plastic fragments anywhere. 🤔
Sorry that happened to you. Don't beat yourself up, the yard was at fault all their goods stacked on the access and all over the place, looked a mess. I have noticed several times how drivers expected to work miracles in getting their trucks into impossible locations for drop offs and pick ups. Thanks for the out of cab working shots, glad you sounding more cheerful at end.
good stuff jay great vlog as per usual mate shame on that little scrape in the yard tbf that yard should be a tip it was bound to happen but hey its only a Renault so its not the end of the world hopefully maxi didn't screw u for it tho keep safe bud n keep on trucking #RoadLegends
Glad you got the light sorted, sometimes you just don't see things, me included. Sometimes it just comes down to s#&t happens
Good vlog Jay shame about the bumper that yard needs a good tidy up.Keep up the good work mate
Such a beautiful Truck. :( I know this was uploaded a while back but hopefully it gets fixed soon
I've been watching some of your videos and I decide to be a subscriber.
I've noticed Jay you go to all these two bit s--- holes . No room to maneuver crap left everywhere. The people sending you to these dump's. Don't realize how stressful it can be . You've done well to keep the amount of bumps you've had so low. Keep on trucking Jay.
Get a whiplash claim in pal. Pmsl 🤣🤣🤣 👍🏻
Great video Jay lad unfortunate about da bumper but sure we’ve all done sumet like that
All lorries should have steel bumpers as standard, shitey yard but he did a good job on that repair!
I'd say they use to years ago, it's a weight saving thing and safety issue, same with how cars used to be all metal.
Hi jay.
Thanks mate for the head cam do a another head cam on the next one please keep save
We've all had it Jay. I almost hit a digger bucket ages ago in exactly the same place where you were - it was a rusty digger bucket, covered in mud on muddy ground. Luckily somebody shouted "stop" before I hit it. Drive powder tanks, hit a fence once in the dark reversing into a tight site, knew I was close, just didn't think I was that close. Heard the awful scrape sound and stopped, but had already gone 10" down the side of the trailer. Took the paint off and went over a weld line. It still looked fine (aside from the paint taken off) but the company didn't want me to deliver it because we pressurise the tank when delivering. The people who's site it was came out after I told them and then put all the flood lights on. Like, thanks. Could've done that 5 minutes ago. We've all done things like that though, you just can't see right in that corner. The mirrors are good, but they're not that good to see a small detail like that. That yard has way too much stuff in it, though.
I seen you parked up with that van in front of you when I came out of my drop, you didn’t add me in the video 🤣
Hi Jay great video mate that yard was in a bit if a state I agree with you there Jay
I respect you guys. I couldn't do your job.
If your ever around bridgenorth go through quattford there is one absolute hell of a cafe
good blog jay keep saffe mate gary from crewe
Hope you are ok Jay take care
A 'temporary repair' on the temporary repair. lol!
How long had the "No toilet rolls left overnight" been on the back? !!
So of the dumps I see you guys having to navigate it’s surprising there are not more bumps
good work jay.you have a very good work ethic, keep it up mate.looking forward to the next one.
Know that feeling mate makes you feel crap but shit happens 🇬🇧✌🏼️🚍
Where as fastfox gone not seen him on CZcams for a long time.
He’s alive haha
I'll say upfront I'm not a trucker or the owner of a yard. However, although I appreciate some yards won't have acres of space to play with, surely it would make sense for them to have painted lines for drivers to stay within? And the space within the lines should be sufficient for drivers to manoeuvre their vehicle without it getting as tight as that. It would also serve as an indicator for yard staff as to where they can (and can't) leave pallets etc.
Shame it happened mate, I did something similar on a day out in a rigid, tight farm track, didn’t see a boulder in the brush backing into a gateway, nature of the beast. Haven’t gone back on a rigid since that day, I’ll stick to trucks that bend :L
jay tats the joys off trucking tat yard seems a right mess .
Haha Jay haven't seen your videos for ages, looks like you've put beef on lol
Jay what is the blue box under the back of the trailer for ?
Nice of the bloke in the yard to see you round
Dunno if it’s been asked, what’s the flashing light above the tacho?
Hi Jay,
What are you doing with the box on the rear of the trailer when you do your walk around checks?
What does it do?
From a Newbie pass 1.
Thanks
And keep Vlogging.
not sure which box you mean?
What matters is that you are OK
Ooooooo exciting times 😆😆😆 they should of kept you in the Volvo ;)
Happens 2 us all jay, dont worry about it.
The term "Duck" comes from the Anglo-Saxon "Ducas" which means "Duke". Its a term of endearment. I guess it would seem weird to people outside of Stoke, I grew up with it so I dont know any different.
Quick one on inverters..... Why don't you plug it into the Anderson plug on back of cab if you have one? Run kettle, toastr and microwave off mine.
too much stuff to move in and out of the cab every week
What was that you was checking on the front of trailer
That yard was ridiculous it annoys me when places put loads of crap right near an entrance then expect you to squeeze a massive truck through what was already a small space, good job though next time try and take out more of their stock too 😂
The reaction you make is the same as the renault logo
Typical scania driver
What do you think of the steeringwheel on the Renault?
Hope you’re alright mate 👍
Your good at driving your truck
Very hard job these days, unforgiving and torturous at times.
We used RS when I was at Screwfix and they were always brilliant
That yards a disaster !! Don’t be too proud to get out and look in tight spaces. Hope you dont get any shit for that from Maxi. That place needs a serious tidying. Shocking space for an artic to come in.
You shouldn't blame yourself Jay,that really was a disgusting yard.I would have sacked the yard manager for letting it get that bad.Glad you were okay though, that's the main thing, these things happen mate.It disgusting that you couldn't even pick something up from the garage shop, surely it would have been okay even to let one person in at a time.So proud of all the truckers still keeping this country supplied, well done mate.Stay safe & keep on truckin'.
Jay enjoyed the vlog
Hi Jay thats not your fault in anyway dude place is a trash can, Hope it all works out ok for you dude, Please let me know if you ever delivery to the NHS supply chain Runcorn I work there.
These things happen and you cant help it. 👍🏻
Trucker Jay can you tell me the name of the water boiler you use for your brews?
It’s in the store below
Just to much plastic in trucks these days he must have Barely touch that and half the bumper fell off what happened to steel bumpers i know no good in a impact keep the video’s coming thanks 👍
These things happen. We just move on and keep the head up.
Putting milk in first raged me more than drinking from the bottle!!
Milk first for coffee
What does the phone to the left of the steering wheel do
It's the pussy phone for when your bored at night i heard
Rather than fuss around reversing back should have got them to move the pallets stopping you from moving forward. Like you say piss poor yard.
Furnace Road, Ilkeston.
Some of the supermarkets i deliver too have yards full of shit too, with no consideration for hgv drivers. Its why most of our trailers are battered lol.
You would have never seen that box from the cab
How much would it cost for your own truck
Ouch 😪..I bent donkey 🤠😂😂.
Oh my god Jay hope u didn't get a bollocking😮
can you put the camera down lower, can't see out the window.
That yard is death trap very unprofessional and very untidy and look how tight it is!!
Enjoyed video. You mentioned Fast as fox. Used to enjoy watching his videos. Pity he stopped doing them.
If you want to see how to clean a truck. Go happiness by th mile America N female driver.
Stay safe. 8
get some 3 in 1 coffee sachets saves carrying to much tackle about matey ,,
cant he adjust his steering wheel
Do u have to wear the headset?
What a shocking mess the yard is in. At least it was only minor damage to the truck.
Hope your keeping well and safe :-)
Imagine that place with a W900 :) ohh bother
J what is it called that you use to heat your water for brews. Is it better then a kettle ? Keep up the great vids pal.
I think there called jet boils or you can buy something called campingaz there really good but there just the same just look different
@@Ryan-wu4br thanks Ryan. I bought the jet boil from Amazon. Cheers mate.
@@mickyoung9999 now worries 👍🏻
@@mickyoung9999 I have a 24V kettle aswell but they take about 15-20 minutes to boil a full kettle so their not great if your parked for 15 minutes
@@Ryan-wu4br yeh no good for quick brew between drops. The jet boil done in a couple of minutes.
Driving a truck looks terrifiying.
Been there got the T-shirt shit happens 👍
It doesn't help with these new trucks with all the mirrors they've got them really narrow mirrors the not good enough
Good Morning Jay
Thank you for liking my comment Jay.
I too am passionate about trucking. Though I haven't got any experience but I want to learn tucking. I watch your videos every Saturday and Sunday.
Jay do you use a road atlas.
Andrew Spence don’t think anyone uses road atlas
shit happens, yard was a mess
trucker jay you are the bestest youtuber and I always watch all your video
You rock!
I'm from Stoke...... Can't agree more with people calling you "duck"
