Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Milti drop and otherwise.I have been driving commercially for one year now and my vlogs are here to show you what driving a HGV the the UK is really like, I don't delete the bad bits its all raw and as it happens.

Jay. Could you possibly give new or drivers in training a rough idea of how different companies work out the salaries? What to watch out for etc. You briefly touched on it today but that would be really useful I think. Many thanks in advance.

If you ever make it to U.S., should come during Great Midwest Truck Show or Expedite Expo, just make sure you get tickets for them way ahead of time, usually free or at a discount at truck stops, could have any trucker over here pick them up for you. Big difference in our trucks for OTR compared to yours.

Used to go to Maxi Warrington yard you wuold drop a trailer and move one out to find another driver trying to take your clear space you made to get hitched up. The trailor you wanted was allway's at the back.

Yard should have designated areas for empty trailers and repair needed, wouldn't be such a hodge-podge if drivers know where to put trailers instead of just dropping them where they feel like.

What kind of yard organisation is that! Drivers just dropping their trailers anywhere to get home, don’t think that other blokes have to get a trailer out to go. They need a decent yard shunter there !

If you have a deep mint pin the trailer will be closer to the cab. If you have your 5th wheel also close to your cab you won’t be able to hook up, you will just drive into the trailer

What Merc do you drive Jay lad?Cant understand why Maxi don’t issue drivers there own truck that way not emptying your gear out every time your using different units plus drivers will look after it more and keep it clean.Great video keep her lit boy

Km is much easier for me. Maybe cause am from Bulgaria dunno 😕 🤷, I know them in miles too just times it by 1.6 as 1 mile = 1.6km so you times the miles by 1.6km and you get the kms of the trip thats how I do it.

Ooo that's a handy one to know so with maxi or other companies is it mandatory to downloads the card info of your driving or do some companies do it for they're own benefit?
With my firm all the drivers have to download their digi card before and at the end of the shift, they check for infringements.

It’s aimed at new drivers so has all the regulations in layman’s terms. I always look in it though for things iv forgot or never done before.

You know when I’m rushing to edit in my spare time on my day off. I often think most remember to turn down the volume as that’s how it comes from my publisher. But sometime when I remember I also have a life and put the editing to one side while I have dinner I sometimes forget that it needs to be turned down. But sure I’ll take your comment and just think to myself hmmm that’s a smart person, really appreciates my efforts at no cost to them. Good job you 👍
Taita Mann it’s the case in quite a few vlogs I watch. I don’t think the CZcams editor is great for fine tuning songs.

hang on a sec, you said you did 12.5 hours of work and only took 45 mins of break? don't you have to take another break of at least 15 mins after 12 hours?
