Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Milti drop and otherwise.I have been driving commercially for one year now and my vlogs are here to show you what driving a HGV the the UK is really like, I don't delete the bad bits its all raw and as it happens.

yeah my grandfather ws a truck driver from the mid 50's to 60's - early 92. he got some stories, mostly ones that cannot be repeated anywhere. he did crash into a house once and spent nearly a year in hospital when my mother was about 8. most of what I learned about truck driving came from him, and watching how he done stuff. asking all the questions of a 7 year old onwards. the only driver I could truely trust, he had a vw golf, and clocked it 2, and a half times well before it's 8th birthday. as for KevTee yes really enjoying the truck build, I partially built a Tamiya Volvo FH, and got a box trailer, working remote ECU, and motorized legs, when I say partially built, then found couldn't put cab interior in, plus the ECU because the ECU had changed from the original design, so got to 3d print something for the ECU to mount to, but not got a 3d printer to do it.

Nice one Jay....best wishes to all you lads on the road...a long time back me and a few mates from Bangor Uni walked...and pushed a bed...from Bangor to Liverpool on the A55 as a rag week stunt...no dual carriageways back then...we did it in relays and was fine up until the pubs shut...then ended up sleeping in bus shelters...MUST HAVE BEEN BLOODY MAD 8-D...keep safe

Ill agree with you about Driving in Birmingham I'm a bus driver based in West Bromwich and frequently drive into Birmingham and most people have no patience and try and beat the bus at every chance. Were you were parked at start of video was about half a mile from where I live. Keep up the good work.
PD0407 I honestly think driving in Birmingham is worse than London, at least in London there’s SOME level driving skill and rules. Birmingham is like driving in Kabul

Hi Jay, you're doing a cracking job but in my day we would have checked the trailer and load in side but we wouldn't have put straps on the load as the curtains would hold it
Its so annoying when load restraint straps are loose like that, especially if the straps are twisted in the buckles 🤣 🤣

I was the same. Also know as a bit of a geek always wanted to do this job and did it in the end. The world is yours you can do anything you want when you decide.

It’s good, but I liked the previous intro too. Music was a bit more upbeat, but the new one looks a bit more polished.

Talking of supermarkets when I was warehousing for a independent transport firm, every other day one of our customers would send out a palet which consists of 3 pallets all with one or two boxes in the middle on each pallet and stacked it and shrinkwraped. it seems so stupid that supermarkets can't just sort a mixed pallet out and force suppliers extra costs as they would be sending out 4 Chargeable pallets like this when it could all be placed on the one chargeable pallet space, crazy

When you pick up new trailers from the port why do you have to strap it down yourself. Why is it not already strapped down from the previous journey it took from A-B?

@@truckerjay so basically that trailer has gone all the way from the factory to the port and made the crossing with no restraints in place.
Is that just because of the driver that was pulling it or another factor in there?
