How happy you must be to be a company driver today!
@Jack Kepp, Happy the funds for the window & labor is not coming out of his pocket but it's still a PIA. Hopefully, Josh's company will give him downtime pay while they replace the window!
Absolutely!!!!!!
Let us know what happens with the hunt of the other truck company. Be safe out there. Bye for now from New Jersey. 🐶😊🇺🇸👍
@Romeo Zaire definitely, I have been watching on flixzone for since november myself :)
GLAD you were not hurt, when I first started driving I had a brick throned thru my windshield on a old kenworth cab over and the only thing that save me was my glasses. STAY SAFE
The semi drive that pass you in the no passing zone should pay for the new window and the damage!
@@rae1957tn that's on him for not following the rules of the road
@@rae1957tn most likely he will get a reprimand. a couple days suspension, maybe.
@@rae1957tn
That's on him for not following the road signs. He might get written up or suspended a couple days at the most. The company that caused the damage should pay for a new window and any paint that needs to be done. It's a good thing he had a dash cam
Im glad ur ok buddy...outstanding way to keep calm n staying safe
I am SO happy you're ok bud! Someone was watching over you. Take care man. Love the videos.
I’m so happy that you’re going after his company my friend!!! He’ll be sorry that he did those things and his company will likely fire him for wreckless driving. I’d asked him what was his big hurry and are you going to a big fire? I’m looking forward to what his excuses were and how his company handles the situation . There’s no denying what happened because the incident was caught on camera. He thinks he got away with it ,but think again and I’m so happy that you and Diesel weren’t hurt. Safe travels my friend and Diesel!! Take care and later
Thank goodness you were OK trucker Josh. Also thank goodness for dash cams man.👍👍
I would be getting Diesel into the vet to have his eyes checked out also.
Thank God you did didn’t get hurt. Safe travels my friend
It's really good to see that you're okay
I am so glad you are OK!! Great job on the window!!
I am very happy to see you are not hurt from that. That could have been so much worse. Stay safe out there my friend, as you always do. God bless
The Reason I think your Window want to come out is because the venturi effect
a flow of air choked at your window creates low pressure
Great to see you, Trucker Josh.
Been here a long time.
I love your music tastes.
It's always happy music, with a beat.
You've used several different jingles through the years, that I could listen to all day.
Keep it Safe.
There is a road behind my house with a lot of holes, so 20 years ago they started too throw gravel on it, every 2 years, the first 3 weeks it is flat bycicle tyres an a lot of sharp stones, after that is is a bit flatter but after 3 months the holes are back bigger than 20 years ago, guess they never learn.
Glad you're ok! The ding towards the end of the video is the same ding my LVD makes, it shorted out and was randomly dinging during the day while driving, at night if I was idling, whenever, it was driving me insane, I thought it was doing it again LOL!
we have it here in the uk on secondary roads its called tar and chip they take the speed down to 20mph good job you were 'moving' as it could have hit you if you were stopped glad you are safe..
Thanks Josh for another great video
Tempered side glass fractures into cubes instantly, install inside plastic window tint to hold in place and get clear packing tape for exterior until replaced, will keep elements out in between
Same thing happened to me a couple of winters ago in -28*c weather,a pickup going the opposite direction flicked a chuck off ice at me ,it was a very cold 50 km drive ,nowhere to pull over ,I’m glad you are ok josh
😲😲😲
Fast moving air has lower pressure than slower (or stationary) air. It's the same principal that keeps airplanes up in the sky
Sorry to see you had a little problem there Josh, Hope everything get's better soon!!
So sorry that happened to you!!! You should release a fallow up video on what actually happens to the driver and the company! Make a big example out of them!
Thank God that you are safe and sound Josh. I’m sure it took a bit of time for your heart to slow down. That is such a frightening thing when rocks smash your vehicle windows. It’s almost heart-stopping.
Thank goodness You didnt get hurt , that could have been really bad. God Bless Ya & stay safe out there Man.
i know that petro pass, i've stopped in there quite a few times on my way back from a calgary or red cliff run. safe travels!
Thank god you’re ok , it could of been a lot worse...take care Josh, watch out for flying rock 😎👍
Ya. It could have been the front windshield... It was just timing - a sec or so.. that made the difference. Thank God.
WOW Thanks Josh Amazing Video Good Luck
I'm glad you're safe after that rock. Be safe great message
Here in Pennsylvania they do the same thing with the roads. We call it oil and chip, and most everyone hates it, especially motorcyclists.
It’s chip sealing and helps the roads out in the winter, it slows the moisture to drop of the surface and reduces icing.
Glad to see you did not get harmed by the rock or the glass!
I like when trucker josh vents 👍🏼
Good vlog Josh, glad you're OK. Same thing happened to me in my pickup, a guy passed me and blew out my side window. No dash cam! Stay safe. Thanks.
They can tell though usually - by where all the glass ended up.
That glass saved your life! Just imagine if you had been driving with the window down to enjoy the nice weather.... doesn't bear thinking about. Keep those windows up!
Even for a just a coffee I always try and get a parking spot. The walk is always good lol
Glad your okay keep up the good work!
This was an absolutely smashing video!
(Sorry, couldn't resist)
I am really enjoying the Vlogs! Keep up the great work!
Glad you are ok.That is crazy man. Thought that only happens here in the states.
Glad you are ok. Keep us informed on the hunt.
Yup I drive that highway every day and that week with construction was especially bad. Nobody slows down really. Also I agree that if you do a project do it right the first time.
In regards to the plastic pushing out. I think you are right about the air pressure but not like you thought. I think the air going around the truck creates a low pressure zone around the window...
I think this is the 1st vid I saw of yours where you had to silence out some "colourful" words when the window got popped
Glad you are okay. People will never learn to slow down for construction zones.
Glad you and the weasel are ok Josh be safe driver
That's scary, but at the end of the day all that matters is that you and diesel are ok
We saw you about 5 minutes from the petro-pass and not long after got sprayed by a b-train same situation! My personal vehicle received many rock chips and dents, insurance claim is already in the works.. Glad you're okay God bless!
You did a good job holding it on the road Josh. Glad you & the weasel are alright!
Holy crap!!! I'm glad you came out of that safe.
Great job fixing the window Josh! When you started tapping on it I thought you had already gotten it replaced, it looked and sounded like glass. Very clear. The window pushing put is cause by low pressure caused by the air flow speeding up as it comes around your windshield. Same way an airplane wing creates lift. Saw pictures today of rioters surrounding a class A rv and standing on it's roof blocking the road, glad you didn't get attacked by the likes of them. Be extra careful out there, especially around bigger cities. Especially if traveling into the U.S.
Window, downtime. It's just money but a driver's life is priceless. Let's slow down people. Glad your ok.
Glad you and Diesel are ok Josh!!🚛❤🙏🐹
The cab's should pressurize it helps seal and keep dirt out. All they have to do is follow the signage and slow down
I had a a flatbed cross the double line on a 2 lane West Virginia road and bust my driver’s side mirror once. Neither of us could stop so I went on to where I unloaded. I mounted the spot mirror from my passenger side on the driver side to get back to the shop and got it fixed. That was a little too close for comfort.
That's crazy, Josh! Glad you weren't hurt!
I'm glad you're ok Trucker Josh.
Chip & Seal.....where I come from they do that in residential areas. Now I think I know why. Glad you were not hurt Josh, & Diesel too. :)
I have watched a couple of your videos now. May I say. I bet your wife never has a dull moment....lol
That must have been scary.
Very glad you are okay.
I agree people should follow the law and not speed threw construction zones.
I bet that got the heart going! Glad you're alright Josh
Happened to me outside of Hinton AB. But it was a chunk of metal that flew off and ended up in my backseat. Luckily nobody was sitting back there.
😲😲😲
Wow scary stuff...glad you are OK Josh!!!
Chip seals fine if the loose is brushed clear, good for grip too.
Its way cheaper, not just a bit cheaper, budgets are budgets, if you haven't got it you cant spend it.
Piece of cake.stuff happens.you got them on camera. Roll on,when things get tough ,the tough keeps on rolling.
I've heard that train locomotives have bulletproof glass windshields. They say people throw rocks and shopping carts off overpasses they go under.
Very happy you’re ok josh
Glad you are OK. Wow, that was scary.
They do that on a lot of side roads in my state of Washington. I had a friend who had his windshield that got killed in that very someway as the side window in his new car at the time.
So sorry that happened. You did a great job on that window.
Thank God you where not hurt, Get them Josh and preach it Sir
Thankful for your safety! God's blessings!
I'm glad you're ok, Josh. One consolation -- viewers will stop complaining about your annual inspection sticker blocking the camera view in the driver's-side window. Don't forget to get a new sticker. Another day, another adventure... I like your attitude Josh!!! It's so good that you're a company driver now, so that you don't have to deal with the hassle and expense.
Hope you're good , must be , the freight must go on . Be safe
I was worried that someone got upset at you for something and smashed the window. I'm happy to hear that that wasn't the case
HOLY COW JOSH GLAD YOUR OK MAN
Glad you weren't injured bud
I live in skin Canada near Regina and they fix the highways with gravel to and it bugs the heck outta me
They do that on some roads in Michigan too
We fix roads with gravel so that vehicles can keep going instead of shutting the road down. trust me I hate doing it. So glad your okay!
I am Glad You are Ok
Glad you are ok 🙂God bless!
Always good to have a good dash cam.
Imagine your window was opened?...
The SW portion of Stoney Trail is opening this fall.
Thank god you are ok
I'm sorry bout your window, they fix the roads in Texas with gravel too. I hate construction zones, people see the speed limit for the zone and automatically drive 10-20 mph faster than the regular speed limit and pass on the double yellow lines marked for no passing.
Where did you get plexiglass? In the US it's extremely hard to get now because everyone is using it for kungflu shielding.
Hi TJV.
You was very lucky to not get glass in your eye or eye's, your sunglasses may of protected your eye's from getting glass in your eye or eye's.
The gravel is put down in a thin layer of tar to reduce the underlying surface from traffic, so the road can then be retarmaced, the gravel is usually crushed granite or crushed flint, but some time's it is a mixture of both, the gravel is to extend the life of the tarmac.
But that trucker should not of been going that fast when the area was clearly signed to go slow.
Stay safe and keep the rubber side down and the shinny side up and we will see you on the back haule brother.
It wants to push out because when you are driving, the air outside flows much faster, and the faster it flows, the lower the the outside pressure there is. So it would want to suck out the plastics. Nothing you'd be able to do besides putting on stronger tapes.. :) Glad you are safe tho, that was scary.
What kind of dash cam do you have? We need a new one in our truck.
Wow Josh, that could have been so much worse! Glad you’re okay!!!
Your door chime or audible warning--sounds like an old Mac Classic when turned on. Just an oddball thought. Glad you're alright.
Infrastructure in Canada is next to Zimbabwe.
Josh, the plastic sucks out because there is a vacuum created by the air going around the A pillar on the outside of the truck.
Get a better dash cam. I have a BlackVue model that does full HD, but their top model does 4K resolution. Great for being able to record tremendous detail to identify vehicles in less than ideal recording conditions.
Very clad to hear you and Diesel are all right, although I reserve my comments for the other driver (this being family oriented). Sure hope you can track him down and "MAKE HIM PAY!"
Why can't you go After the Roadwork zone Company as well for level rock on the road ?
Gosh! Watching the thumbnail I thought your window got smashed by rioters. Be careful out there Josh!
That’s EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the thumbnail.
There are no trees or hills up there and that looks so weird. I'm surprised there aren't even pine trees.
And good luck on pursuing that other driver!
Lol I'd have to agree. It's almost confusing.
It's called Chip Sealing. after they do that then they go back over it with tar to finish it.
Well I’m amazed there’s wasn’t more reaction. Definitely wouldn’t be family friendly if I was being recorded lol. Just a friendly reminder to get that safety rewritten for a new sticker. My buddies truck got broken into and they replaced the window but forgot the sticker. Headingly scale noticed and gave him a warning a week after lol.
If it wasn’t for the construction zone would u company still go for the other company?
