Surprise, another CGT video with comments about it being dangerous. It's no more dangerous than any other period supercar that came without traction control
Most if not all of the wrecks were by inexperienced drivers with a lack of driving skill with money/inadequate understanding of how to set up a car properly. Surprise surprise. 😂 but social media parakeets who only echo what influencers say will never understand this.
Ironic you say that mere days after Porsche recalled the Carrera GT over it's suspension failures, which is believed to be a factor in some of the crashes that have taken place. I'd say it is more dangerous because compared to other cars of the period, it had a lot more horsepower.
@@kiryukazuma7508 To be fair, the Stig spent the entire day trying to do a lap on Top Gear and couldn't get it around the track most the day without spinning out. To correct you, the CGT is a serious handful even to experienced racecar drivers. But hey it seems like you've learned to drive it on your sim so congrats.😅
@@aztronomy7457 Indeed it was spikey on original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres, but if the owners actually do drive the cars, they'd have switch to Porsche N rated Pilot Super Sport which made the car alot more stable and approachable. Something which the red CGT didn't have as it was running on original tyres.
@@CarToneHK im not even referring to the Paul Walker incident. That was 1000% driver error. I’m more referring to the number of good drivers who couldn’t keep it from spinning unless they were absolutely perfect with it. There were many cars before the CGT that didn’t have ESC or TC that were more or less stable and predictable. The CGT and the original Viper were not that. Just because you don’t have electronic aids doesn’t mean the car has to be a widowmaker. I think the wheelbase, horsepower, and balance of the car caused it to be extra snappy.
