This is my attempt at the Finnish F/A-18C Display in DCS! | The best Hornet Demo Ever - in my opinion far better than the Swiss F/A-18 and the US Navy F/A-18E/F Super Hornet Demo. It was fun trying to practice this enough times to get it +/- like the real Finnish Air Force Hornet display from RIAT 2019.
FFBeast - a full force feedback stick that can be tuned differently for each aircraft and helicopter. The FFBeast software allows for additional effects to be applied to each aircraft and fine-tuned... everything from AoA buffet to speedbrake and landing gear vibrations, to landing jolts on touch down etc.

Respect for actually putting effort into flying in DCS! Your real life piloting background really shows here. I saw this and got exited for a moment, I was wishing you had done the new demo. But this will still absolutely do! Also if you're interested in trying the Swiss 2024 demo, the IRL demo pilot shared the Aresti'ish figures and notes on it and they're available on reddit.

@@CommandT I don't know what defines good cockpit footage, but there's the official video by the airforce of the 2023 RIAT display by Captain Henri Toppari of Lapland Air Command. Saw finnish demo live last year. Different choreography but it was awsome. Fins rock but nothing beats swiss F5 demo team.
I have my FFbeast about to ship and will be using it with the F18 alot and also the Apache and F4.

I was at RIAT in 2019 and this was easily the highlight, shame COVID stopped me going again in 2020, but I’ve been every year they’ve ran it since - and I’ll be there this year too 👌🏼

8:53 I doubt past the initial roll there that the demo pilot has any aft stick by comparison. The recent updates have greatly improved things, but the yaw rate is still quite behind. You can get the real world yaw rates of you hold the inputs long enough, but that's because ED has it go into SPIN...

@Command T Can you please check if F-14 feels the same for you as it did before F-4 release? I think since F-4, something changed with the Tomcat's force feedback. Feels bland and generic for me now, fake centering spring and some generic rumble effects.

Excess rolling after input seems to be a problem in the flight models of the 16 and 18. I wondered right away why they didn’t get this right. Way too sluggish.

@@CommandT I can't see an in cockpit view unfortunately but the reason I prefer it is because it uses the vertical a lot more and adds a bit of high speed pass magic and a zoom climb near the end, whilst still keeping it in close to the crowd with a lot of slow speed vapes :) Both are extremely good either way, I prefer them over the US displays quite a lot.
Top Shelf flying. Can you duplicate this exact demo in the SU-27 or the F-15? Be good to see the comparison and you evaluate low speed performance of each aircraft. Hornet is better xyz but Flanker is better abc, Eagle is superior 123. Thank you.
The same demo won’t work for the other aircraft as they fly so differently. I mean some of the manoeuvres are just not possible. Hence why they are such different displays in real life. So wouldn’t really make sense trying to fly the same thing.
