On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, F-4 Phantom, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8. - Hry

Thank you guys for watching and if you have any ideas for future videos please put them in the comment section below, thank you all again, much Love.
Your videos are so on point, i got interested in the me-262 again and you upload this
Me-262 versus a flanker, F-18 or F-16. Now you have me interested in this cool looking fighter.

I happen to be a pilot myself. My observation is that during WWII the German aces transitioning to the 262 were used to the Bf109 or the Fw190 which had limited vertical abilities. Those pilots, actually some were Ju88 guys didn't understand the importance of the vertical to preserve energy. That cost them dearly.
I think it'd be interesting to see a match-up between the 262 the Meteor and the P80. Those were all of the same time period. I'm betting that the 262 was the best machine.
This reminds me of the time GS used the Me-262 to time travel to WWI and strafed a bunch of biplanes as he laughed like a psychopath.
Do you have a video link?!
That sounds hilarious
@@wesmithoff3211, I don't know if GS allows links in his comments, but you can look it up in his library, it's there. It's both funny and disturbing at the same time. ☠😆
@@Ifoughtpiranhas ok thank you, I've scrolled through and have found it and will watch it 👍🏻
Exactly what i thought about when i saw this video :D They where flying caravan style and he just passed through with guns blazing, it was epic
You can build a whole new plane with all the different parts you took off! Wing, tail, rudder... pilot...
I prefer your videos of the WW2 aircraft. Heat and radar guided missiles are cool and all but the ability to find a target and attack are what I find to be most interesting. Cheers!
Agreed. I don't even watch the modern stuff.
Oof. The absurd hit and run potential of a well handled 262 is crazy.
You can be flying merrily along and suddenly you're missing a wing, a tail, an engine. Maybe you see the thing sweep by with turbines screaming like a daylight banshee. Maybe you'll just hear it as you float down on your chute.
"The first time I saw a jet I shot it down" -Chuck Yeager.
They were pretty good, but werent invincible and had flaws. They were vulnerable to coordinated defences by squadrons of planes and ambush tactics.
@@pluemas Many of the ambushes took place as they were returning to base and trying to land. They were *very* vulnerable at those times. 😁
"You can be flying merrily along and suddenly you're missing a wing, a tail, an engine..." Or your head.
@@truthseeker9454 Exactly, they were a pain to land. In fact, Yeager discusses shooting down a 262 in his autobiography - he stumbled on one that was on final and decided to take the opportunity.
I remember Chuck Yeager's remarks about fighting the Me 262 in the P-51D: "I was a fat man running up hill to catch a trolley".
And yet, many Me 262s were shot down by P51s. Once pilots of the slower aircraft figured out the weakness of the Me was to make it overshoot and force it to keep coming back around, opening it up for hits from other friendly aircraft
THANK YOU MORE PLEASE. The IL-2 series is my favorite and is very near and dear to my heart.
Hey now, IL-2 video? Hell yeah. I like this.
One thing to consider while calling the 262 an amazing plane was that the engines were the weak point. The axial flow turbojets, while today very common, were very unreliable at the time due to unsuitable alloys. They would destroy themselves with quick throttle changes and only lasted for about 24 hours of flight time.
It still had a kill ratio of like 5 to 1. Even if it had its logistical disadvantages, it was probably better than building more of the aircraft that were not competitive with allied fighters.
@@MrAwombat There's evidence that kill ratio is likely EXTREMELY overclaimed. Sources that actually corroborate the claims against actual reported Allied losses bring it much closer to 1:1.
Yeah nah, there is always sources claiming otherwise but most me262 pilots and planes have well documented combat history. @@Ambaryerno
@@derbenutzer5958 "Source: it came to me in a dream"
Engine management was key in the Me 262. Avoid fast throttle changes at all costs, even when under attack. Treat the throttle as if you were flying a jet airliner - not a jet fighter. Never use 100% throttle.
Being a crappy sim pilot, the 262 was the only plane in IL2 that made me feel like I was "king of the skies"! Using "boom and zoom" tactics, made you hard to shot down. Mix it up with both flight sims would be my call. Thanks for the great entertainment!
_Kites With Guns!!_
One weekend afternoon I binged close to every WWI video from your back catalogue
l just did the same thing on WW-2
i have watched the entirety of GS WW1 and WW2 videos
Nice to see some IL-2 content!
I remember playing "Secrets of the Luftwaffe" flying the Me 262 way back in the day. Would be nice if you played more Il 2.
Desert Wing action would be nice! Spifire Mk.Vb Trop, Bf-109F-4/Trop, Tomahawk, Kittyhawk, maybe Hurricane in action? Oh, and the nicest: Macchi C.202.
I really love the 30mm mine shells of the MK108. A marvel of the technology of the time, simply unique in combination with the Me262. Its a wonderful piece of german over-engineering.
Those four 30mm cannons absolutely shed.
That spit was like, "I'm so beautiful , I only need a wing to fly"
GS always gets a devilish laugh when flying the 262.
The way the planes got pushed when hit...no clue how accurate it that is but damn it looked cool, like they were being hit by bricks.
Played this sim for about 12 yrs,. Timeless
Really appreciate the Me-262 Video!
Gotta love WWI and WWII videos from GS, it’s nice to have a break from DCS as good as it is. Keep up the good work
I need to keep my laptop clean when i watch your videos, because when you see an enemy fighter i think im seeing it too and its just a little bit of dust on my screen, im so amazed by your eyesight
More IL2 WW1 and WW2 would be cool. I always enjoyed you flying these warbirds and talking about BFM tactics as your flying.
It’s a good thing IL2 didn’t bake in the unreliability of the ME262’s engines. Great video (as always). I can’t recall if IL2 has the TA152 (C or H) or not, but I think that would set you a challenge against the aircraft you fought in this video. I think I’m like most of your subscribers…. Fly anything mate and we will be happy! All the best from Oz.

3000 Me-262 des Olaf Scholz
Errr……. Ja?
This is like the Kill Bill scene for planes... body parts flying around everywhere, and just a brutal massacre.
6:54 “you’re done☝️okay byeeeee😁”
I wounder how that 262 jet would do against a Flying Fortress . Would be a cool video and fight.
Thank you for the video and the dialogue!
Thanks so much for getting back into dogfights... love your channel.
another great vid man keep up the good work!
YES LOVE TO SEE IT, i can tell your getting back into ww2 era stuff, keep it coming another il 2 vid aswell, would love to see some more online il 2
It'd be so cool to see this thing go up against modern jets, like you do with the mustang for example. I take it there's no me262 in DCS.
I agree, and I think you're correct.
The problem is that the 262 lacked the agility of the p-51 for example. Yeah they were darn fast but couldn't turn too quickly so I'd guess it'd perform far worse that a p-51 against modern jets.
love the the WWII and WWi content!
love the WW2 and WW1 stuff
Ahaha the squeak noise when you shot the 2nd Spitifre.
As far as I am aware, the Me-262 carried four Mk108 30mm cannons. They are a low-velocity round which makes your job even harder. There is another cannon, the mk103, that fires a high velocity round but it seems these don't fit in the airframe. 6:15 Anyway, one or two 30mm hits would probably take any allied fighter down
Yeah they where essentially a grenade launcher
Mk103 has lower velocity than the 108
@@metalguerra i think you might have misinterpreted something, the mk 103 had a much higher muzzle velocity than the 108
Wasn’t the Me-262 designed to be a bomber interceptor, or am I misremembering? Fast plane, hit and run, rip into a formation hard, bug out. GS would slaughter a flight of B-17s in this, I bet
Funnily enough the 103 and 108 used the exact same projectiles iirc just with a bigger or smaller powder charge behind it
Love that you do some IL-2 again!
Please more 262 and Il-2! Amazing! Thank you very much!
Really enjoy IL2 content, WWI and WWII keep up the good work!
Yes to more IL2 and you the the 262!!! Great video!!!
Great video, as always-and would love to see more WWI air combat again!
BRAVO!! Thanks. buddy!
y r so insane Pilot, your sa are awsome! thx 4 this vid
More of IL2. You rock these planes. All vids are awesome
Glad you're doing more WWII stuff.
Banger video as always
Thank you for this vid. Yes, more WW2 and ME262; thanks :)
Love the blast from the past for variety! Do any of your pilot buddies have IL-2? It would be fun to see some co-op / bandit unknown vids in WW1 and WW2 aircraft. 😃
Love all the IL2 stuff
I'm a big fan of IL-2 Sturmovik.
Thanks for posting this.
Really good stuff!! Love the WW2 videos, man.
Can we please have some WW1 Flying Circus in VR next??
Oh that was great! Loved seeing the Schwalbe in action!
Yes, please do more WWII! Would love to see a little more of the P-47 if possible. It takes a great pilot to pull off the fabulous Thunderbolt. I know that's you. 👍
Yes, please. More Il-2 and WW2 content.
Great video!
FINALLY!!! more WW2 Content!!!! Keep them coming!
I can watch the Me 262 all day long. Keep up the great content.
That thing Destroys!!!💀
Outstanding 👍👍
What's an awesome aircraft the me-262 was...
Great demonstration of its lethality...
4 - 30mm cannons!
Fantastic video 🫸
Dude, I never even knew this thing existed! Amazing the fact the plane, sorry jet looks like a World War 2 plane but has two jet engines duct taped to the wings. You see the cables holding the thing together, which looks agricultural but stays together.
Im curious as to the G-Force this thing could actually handle before falling to bits. Looks amazing and what a beast of an aircraft. Totally enjoyed this video dude.
Thanks for the good reminder of Il2 Bodenplatte (which I think of as the upgraded form of Janes WWII Fighters) - and a good reminder to put some more flight hours in. More Spitfire (IX and XIV) action perhaps ?
Sou do Brasil e adoro o seu conteúdo. Excelente trabalho! ❤️🇧🇷
GS handing out jumpscares xD xD
Thank you! How about a P-38 video?
Would love to see more WW1 & WW2 content!
Totally awesome I had been requesting some 262 content for awhile. Now some BF110 Would be cool
Fantasic thank you
Liked the video. Thanks 👌🏻👍🏻
Thank you! Breath of fresh not modern dogfight. Keep em coming bro!
Crackin' Smackin' and Smokin'!! 👌
I miss these😂❤
You have WWI content?!?
Dang I gotta dig around and find it now. I love watching your air combat maneuvers.
Yeah, watch his WW1 VR stuff. Looks insane
I love the IL2 content!
MOAR!
The Arado Ar 234 Blitz or Junker with the propellers on the wheels to make that distinctive sound when it dive bombs
Need to see more WW2 scenarios like what you do with modern aircraft
Thanks GS, any chance to see a Do335 video?
More IL2 and WWI stuff too, definitely.
Definitely do some il2 videos
Would love to see more of the IL2. I'm curious as to whether there's the Vitenam era Bronco. That would be a fun flight.
More IL-2 would be really cool. the best thing about this game is just how good the damage models are, i wanna see more of that!
The fact that the engines had a TBO of about 15 to 30 hours means you're not going to be flying for very long, they also had a habit of flaming out with less than restrained throttle changes.
I love these vids
Would love to see a GS WW1/WW2 campaign series
I really enjoy the WWII series, would really like to see more of it.
BTW GS, if you like flying this you might want to try the Heinkel Lerche III B-2. It was only a design study in 1944-45, but if you have IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 it's modeled in there. It's a contra-rotating prop, twin-engined VTOL fighter / ground attack aircraft that uses an annular wing and will outperform the Me-262. It's armed with two 30MM cannons and four air to air missiles, and you fly it lying prone in a glass cockpit. The first time I flew it I was hooked. I'll bet that would be a blast to experience in VR. 😁
That's a weird looking F-4... ;-)
Always enjoy the WW2 stuff!
The 262 is a beast!!..love to see you in some Corsairs again!..
Thanks and like it! How about He-162 and Me-163 videos?
I remember when the Red Tails Movie came out...I was very excited for seeing 262s...but was vastly disappointed they didnt show how destructive the quad 30mm cannons were...if youve seen the movie...you know what im talking about...
Great show, 4 x 30mm is devastating.
Fresh GS vid! Me262 is awesome
Would love to see more of the campaign mode in IL-2
Great 262 video!
You should try out the f86 in any game such a cool plane in my opinion
Nice Il-2 stuff.
Really enjoy WW2 & WW1 content!
the cameraman never dies
Always nice with some older stuff
