It almost seems sacrilegious to say anything negative about E K, but rumor has it that was a notorious drinker, womanizer, and at times quite self diluded. In the air, you simply pull in the clutch and tap the rear brake, bike pivots nose down around the swingarm pivot. it's physics people and every motocrosser at every mx or sx track, nearly every lap uses this technique and has since the dawn of time.

The hard to swallow deal with Evel is that he takes himself so seriously, it's as if his motorcycle jumps are a similar achievement to curing cancer or putting a manned vehicle on Jupiter. It's entertainment dude. I doubt his words will be chiseled to marble because they are so vital to humanity continuing progress.
