I kept seeing this grille on Amazon but I thought I don't want it to say dood. I did not know that extra letters came with the kit. Now this is very cool!
Happy to help!
Thank you brother this helped a-lot especially that you actually show us instead of cutting parts out and stuff im thankful about everything I’m 16 years old bought the same grill only needed the blue parts went to autozone today and got them got home did it as soon as i saw the orange light on I got so happy Im so thankful Gracias
Happy to help! Glad it worked out for ya 👍🏻
I just wanted to say thank you for doing a sweet job showing the steps to do this. I have a 2007 F150 FX4 I just bought the grill for. So I am exited to put it all together. Great job! Looks Awesome!
Thanks Eric! I'm glad this video was helpful to ya
this video has helped me an incredible amount, thank you so much for all of these videos on an older truck that doesn’t get enough love
Andrew, your video on how to install the Raptor Grill was sooooo helpful for connecting the lights!! Those quick splice/tap connectors were so awesome!!
Thanks for being you and being awesome! 💪🏼
Thank you so much for the kind words and support!! 👌🏻👍🏻
Andrew, thanks a million for the video. After watching I ordered the Raptor grill and swapping out was incredibly easy. I would not have considered swapping a grill myself prior to your video 👍🏻
Heck yeah my dude! Glad to hear it went well man. Now you get to enjoy that awesome grille that you installed yourself!! 👍🏻
Definitely finding your videos helpful. Recently changed out all the interior lights in my 04 to LED. I really wanna try raptor lining mine but I'm a little hesitant cause I don't wanna screw it up. Next project is changing out the hoses and jets on my windshield washer system. I enjoy working on the truck and these instructional videos are a lifesaver.
I hear that man, I was really nervous to do mine as well but as long as you follow the steps it really is a beginner friendly process; albeit time consuming. Glad to hear these videos are useful to you!
Been waiting on this one! Hope me reaching out to lasfit about those headlights gets you some soon!
GhostlyCrixus dude that was so awesome of you to do that! I really appreciate you doing that
Love these videos ! Convinced my old man that I’m gonna do this but he don’t think it’ll look good my neighbor has a 06 and it looks sick!
Thanks for the tips! Good video. And I like to pre-run my wires before I plug them in… it helps if you want to chase through something…
Just purchased this raptor grill and was looking for some splicing tips and came across your video. Wanted to say thanks to you. Great job !!
Glad I could help Tom :)
I found this video and was fortunate enough to find a grey Raptor grill for my 04. Going to be using this video as a guide once it gets here. Enjoying the channel and thanks for the content!
Glad it helped Jared! Good luck with your new grille!
Great video! Thank you for being so informative and including the links in the description
No problem! I made this video because I wished there was one like it when I first bought this grille for my truck haha
Used this during my install… much appreciated my dude!! Love all the content
Happy to help Kevin!
If you thought 1k subs was wild I can't imagine what you think now with 10k! Awesome video bro. Thanks for taking time to make this easier on us 👍
Man I tell you what.. every day I see that 10k number next to my channel name I just am in awe. Can’t even put into words how grateful I am
Love what you do Andrew..I'm new to owning a Ford F150, and I normally don't work on upgrading anything but I love cleaning things, but watching you upgrade your truck has given me inspiration to do just that. Upgrading my truck on grille, emblems and headlights, tail lights. Whatever to beautify!
Thank you for the kind words Mr Kevin! I'm glad to be able to inspire you through my videos :)
that was awesome and very easy to do, thanks for the video!
I just bought a grill like this along with headlights and tail lights, so glad I watched this video, thank you for what you do and keep up the awesome content. I'm definitely subscribing lol
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful!
Hey Andrew! Thanks for the video. My 15 year old son and I are fixing to buy him a 2005 F150 with a new engine already installed. We're going to work on cleaning it up together and making it "right" for him. This project is definitely on our list to do together and looks easy enough now that I got to see your video! Thanks for what you do. You're helping people! All the best,,
That is so cool to hear! Thanks for the kind words, Steve. I hope that trucks treats him well!
@@AndrewDoesLife Hey dude. Always go to the auto parts store and purchase a fuse to protect your wiring. As you noted, if the hood latch pinches the hot wire going to the led lights on the grill, you will have an electrical fire, if the fuse for your marker lights does not pop. You probably only need a 10 amp fuse. As an alternative way to protect your truck, you can use two insulated female spade terminals to make a fuse holder. Although that type of DYI will result in the fuse being exposed to the elements, and it will eventually corrode and give you trouble with the lights. Thank you for the great video! Very helpful for me to understand how to remove the factory grill from the hood, so I can install a billet grill.
All you’re videos are very helpful thanks keep up the great work 👍 easy to understand and do.
Glad you like them! I try to make them that way :)
I've got those same headlights, took my 05 to the car wash, next day they are fogged over with condensation like one of yours. I just got some in the mail (1A auto) that cost twice as much, hope they are better. Thanks to you, I ordered the same grille 👍😁👍
Thanks David!
Changed out the grill and headlights on my truck and it all came out great! Thanks for the help great video!
No problem! 👍🏻
wow that gray really looks amazing with your two tone truck. I just got one yesterday in the mail and it was black which is fine for me. I'm going to run my wires behind my Hood foam I believe
Andrew I love this grill. Looks so good on my truck.
Hey man I’m new viewer I really like your videos keep up the work
Thanks buddy I appreciate it! Welcome to the channel!!
@@AndrewDoesLife o
Good Job. Thanks for the easy to follow instruction.

Hey man. New to actually doing the work on my truck. I’ve always paid to get stuff done. I added running boards and Tonneau cover along with LED lights. Love my truck. Thanks for your instructions which encourages me to do more. Thanks for your
help.
Thank you EJ, I started this channel in the first place to encourage others to get out and feel the confidence that they can do the work themselves! 👍🏻 keep on trucking!

Trucks looking sweet man keep up the good work
Thanks Jose, I appreciate it!
Hey man, great videos and very helpful! Keep them coming! I just referenced this video for my raptor style grille on my 08 60year anniversary, very informative and easy to follow your videos. I was also going to install a K&N cold air intake until I saw your part 2 to that one and now I'm just going to do the K&N filter instead. Again, very helpful bro, keep it up!
Thanks! Happy my videos could be helpful to ya! I got a lot more stuff coming
Thanks again Andrew. Installed and lights working. Looks great bud
Great to hear! Doing the work yourself is a great feeling
NICE VIDEO! and for the clearance lights, you could've just used a "add-a-circuit" Fuse tap and ran the positive from the park lights fuse, And just grounded to the vehicle and they will come on whenever your park/headlights are powered, And if you wanted to go a step further you could Through the pain staking task of running the wire through the grommet and into the cabin to a switch
Thank you! I am very much a beginner when it comes to electrical wiring so I just went with what u could figure out from doing online research haha
I installed a raptor grille on my 06 F-150 today. I followed this vid and it was super easy! It took me about 40 minutes total.
That's great Tim! Glad it all worked out for ya
Subscribed, very helpful video. Also liked the closing metal 🤘🏽
Hi I appreciate it Homar! Glad you liked it 🙏🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the tips Andrew, I believe I can do that now.
No problem Ross! I was very nervous going into this project too but I promise it is very doable even with minimal experience. I'm still learning myself :)
Sweet video. Im looking at a 04 FX4 tomorrow morn. Im excited. Def getting that grill. Thanks! Subbed.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. The company I bought it from is no longer open and I could not get instructions from them. I just finished getting it all hooked up and everything works great. Thanks again.
Happy to help Joseph
Love the way you explain everything ..great job...
I try to make the process easier for the next guy haha thanks!
Awesome video. Still helped me a year later! where did you get your fender flares?
Awesome work, definitely i’ll be doing this to my f150
Heck yeah bro! I’m so glad I did it, let me know when you install it on your truck!
Andrew Does Life and...... it’s done, this is my Ford Lobo (mexican F150) with the raptor style grille and brand new headlights, thank you buddy share.icloud.com/photos/0cO7kR8YEFIYbZ0HWNiPQYWMw

Welcome to the channel homie!
Thanx
Just bought one
Will install today
Great video man! Thanks
Just finished installing
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Always happy to help!!
Great video! Just a quick observation. The reason it was a PITA installing the 8 bolts through the hood was because those square nuts that you used as washers on the "control arm" are to be used on the bolts that you insert in the grille; you only have to finger tight them. This keeps them in place so you can then feed them through the holes in the hood. I did add some small washers on the "control arm" screws just for added insurance.
Also, after I installed the grille, which looks awesome BTW, I did notice that there was a tiny, tiny gap between the grille and the hood...enough that if you look hard enough, you can see the light from the LEDs shine through. Nothing negative against the grille, i just think it's how it was cut. So what I plan on doing, since my OCD won't let this slide, is removing the grille and instead of using those square nuts (which could be acting as slight spacer) to hold the bolts in place, I may either try using a small strip of tape or cut a piece of thin flimsy plastic (like that wire shelf lining material) to the shape of the square nuts and slide that over the bolt threads to hold them in place. Hope this helps!
Thanks Mike!
Thank you so much!! You have help me how to figure out on my 2008 F150 👍🏼
No problem! Happy to help
@@AndrewDoesLife Keep on going!! On your videos and hoping others, GOD bless you.
A very detailed description of the installation. I would highly recommend NOT using the splice blocks in an area that can get wet. At the very least tape up the blocks, so they are water tight!
I used some of those temporarily because i was soldering at midnight and I was starting to see things. I sh*t you not they corroded and stopped working before I got home from work.
Good how to video. I plan on ordering these soon.
Glad it was helpful!
I just Bought an 06 F150 STX I have a lot of questions and there’s a lot of things I wanna do to my truck thank you for this video I am definitely subscribing to your channel
Glad I could help Joshua! Congrats on your new truck!
Your great man keep up the great vids
Thanks man!
Cool and precise video, great job.
Keith Johnson thank you Keith! I tried to make this a fool proof video for anyone who wants to install this product themselves!
I really enjoy watching your vids i had a 2014 f150 that i tried putting one of those grills on but the 12 gen f150s were awful for lining up so i just sold it and the truck and bought a 2020 f150 which i just traded it for an suv for my wife, now i am back to restoring my 2006 f150 that i bought brand new in 2006 and i love getting ideas from you, my headlights are on the way i just had all new shocks and struts put on it, love watching your channel man.
Man that’s awesome to hear! Let me know if I can ever recommend any products or ideas to you!
@AndrewDoesLife Thanks, man. I'll keep you in mind when I'm searching for something, I know I'm going to be adding a bullbar and some old-school 6" KC round lights. Thanks again, man. Just a georgia boy married to an alabama girl. Ricky T.
Love your videos buddy, very helpuful ✌🏻✌🏻
Thanks Art!! I appreciate it

Happy to help, Danny! God bless you too
Thanks buddy this video help me a lot
No problem Noe! Glad to help you out
Great video. It let me know I definitely don’t want the one with LEDs
Happy to help!
Thanks for the video. Installed my grill w/LED 2 years ago. Recently, one of the Led's was not working, another was half lit. Played it safe, purchased a set of new LED's from Amazon. Finally, had time to install today. First checked wiring; light not working was not due to power, 2nd same. Both diodes bad. Check the wiring main harness to battery; found a power wire (red) completely corroded through and water inside heat shrink and tape. Quick trip to HD, problem solved; so I thought! In order to change the LED's, you must loosen all bolts that hold the grill on. Now, comes the pain! All the bolts had rusted over the years. When loosening , both bolt and nut turned. Break out vise grips; progress made. Finally, got all LED's installed, grill tight, aligned but too dark to continue for power hook up. All in all, I highly suggest you use a good heat shrink, solder your connection where you can, and use dielectric compound on your connections. Enjoy!
Wow Mark! Sounds like an intense process haha I hate it when the bolts turn with the nuts, glad you finally got the LED's replaced!
@@AndrewDoesLife Thanks Andrew. New lights are working and brighter than originals.
Damn looks bad ass fam imma buy it for my Ford bro good video u got urself a tumbs bro
Thanks Edgar! 👍🏻
Great tutorial can’t wait to install mine
Glad it helped! Good luck with your project
Just put the same grille on my 2007 FX4 thanks to this video it was a breeze. Although the wiring harness wasn’t in the box but I still love it. Thanks man.
Awesome! Glad I could help 😊
Great video bro ! That's Awesome
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Best install video on the tube!!! I have a 14 f150. Put the raptor grill on today. However I didn’t know about installing the 4 bolts to the inside of my grill. I already pushed the clips in on the hood, and bolted down the bottom of the grill. I’m afraid that if I try and pop out the grill that I will break the clips. With all the 2014 f150’s the clips always break when lifting out the grill, you have to use a pry tool. The set up is kinda different than yours..slightly. Still have to do the amber lights..
Thank you for the kind words! Best of luck with your grille 😊
What year grill did you put on your 14 I have a 2014 as well and I found a 2008 grill just like that don’t know if it will fit
those square 'washers' you used on the bracket with the screws...those hold the bolts on the top of the grille so they don't spin while attaching.
Hey man great video jus joined. Good looking truck.
Thanks Corey! Welcome to the channel
Man that grille looks awesome
WWE 2K Fanatics thank you! I loved the way this project turned out
Looks good man!
Thank you Nick!
Hey Andrew, Thank you for your videos, they help. So, I installed the grill on my son's 05 and light do not come on. I double checked connection that gets the splice and it's correctly made, but lights don't come on and now the audio to radio does not play. I checked fuses and they all looked ok. I reached out to manufacturer and they are sending a new harness. At first during install I was concerned that connection wires coming from LED was so close to hood lip they would be crimped and cause issue. Not sure what is going on, any suggestions? Appreciate you
that truck is beautiful. congratulations.
Thank you very much!
Hey Andrew thanks for the great video I have a question I have a 2006 F350 my grill is not attached to the hood is this still going to work for me?
I don’t think this one will work unfortunately 😞
Just actually found the kit. The link didn’t work anymore but I found it. Materials are pretty much on par with any high end aftermarket stuff I’ve bought in the past. The actual grille seems well built and pretty tough plastic. Let’s see if it lasts. I’m going to wrap electrical tape around my connectors for wishful thinking
Yeah they seem to sell out very quickly and then get relisted under a different link. Here’s the latest one I found today with in stock inventory - amzn.to/3KaZgUg
Question! I have a 08 f150 and I just put in aftermarket halo led headlights and had to splice those cords already for the halo lights to work, could I use the other part of harness for this?
Okay....haha....hmm okay, where do i start on this. First, i bought the black version of this grill and i love it. Theres a few things that i learned about the installation of this thing and ill pass them to you and the other viewers. First, the grill is easy to install itself even though its not a perfect fit. It takes a few small taps to get the gaps right...but no big deal. Second, the wiring has to be done before you install the grill on the truck. The frame is wide enough to stuff all those wires in so you wont have a clearance problem between the hood and the radiator core support cover. Im a huge stickler when it comes to running wires. I want all my stuff to look factory. I ran the rest of the harness behind the hood insulation and then behind the coolant jug. I then ran it along the inner fender where i came up short. I had to add another 16 inches to my harness so that the wires were where i wanted them. I dont have a spider web hanging all over the place like you have there. I also finished it off by buying some wire loom cover to pretty it up. I would redo what you did there so that your wires arent laying all over your motor. These are the things i learned about this grill. Next time i install one, ill know to wire first, then install the grill second.
Very cool brother thank you for the help much appreciated 👍🏽💡💡💡👍🏽
Always happy to help, Batman!
Looks great, good tutorial..
Thank you!
Yay I am learning f150 because I just bought one.
Congrats on your new truck Marcson!
Good job.. just subscribed
Thank you Jeffrey!
Nice job 👌👌 ..this is awesome i would like to buy one on my white 07 f150 its gonna look good 😁😁
Go for it! I loved the way it looked on mine
I have a 2005 f150 sport 2 super crew.
It has 190,000 miles. It looks as if it was taken care of. It's slightly modified and also has Rapture grill, lights, etc.
I hear a tapping noise in the engine. Is this just the timing belt needing replacing . Especially because of the mileage.
Ty
Why didn't you hook it up to the headlights? I just got my grill today. I want the grill lights to come on with the headlights. Would that cause any problems?
Good job Andrew! You’re an electrician on the side too!
Thank you!!
I just ordered a camshaft position sensor connector for my 05’ because it literally broke off. Got to love our 11th gens!
Haha! Oh geez, well hopefully you get the problem resolved soon! Working with those wires had me worried. Literally my first time ever splicing wires together!
Yeah I know what you mean about wiring! I feel more confident wiring things in my house than in my truck! It’s the reason I never bought any of the cool halo headlights for our trucks and just bought some black ones. You made it seem easy! Good work!
How is the raptor style grill holding up? Is it fading in color at all? Any other issues over the long term?
I’ll be getting a 07 soon but i wanted to ask are the female parts already on to truck or do you have to install them? Sorry I’m new to cars/trucks
Ithink you can attach the black wire to any bolt that is in metal frame work since black is ground. Want to change my grill on my 2004 f150 fx4 to raptor
You're using your turn signal? I used my parking light, like I thought you were supposed to,but my parking light has 3 wires one of them is white,I tried the black and the faded red wire, clamped it down using the quick splices, watching your every move and nothing..You have any suggestions? I've read the old wiring alot of times prevents the connection because of the corrosion build up making it hard for the metal connector to penetrate
Thank you, u been a big help
No problem Rick!
Thanks brother 👍🏻
I have the grill already, how hard is it to replace the led's if one burns out.
It does look sharp 👍 i'm gonna get me one of them
Thanks Jorge! Good luck with your new part
Great content. I will say one thing. If you live in a climate with bad winters and where vehicles rust let all those bolts soak in some pb blaster before taking it off. If you don’t you will play hell getting the old grill off!
Good point Dominic! I don't have anything but heat and humidity where I live but if I still lived up north I would definitely take that precaution!
thanks it was much easier with your video👌👌👌🛣🛣🛣
That’s why I make them! Haha
quick question which light did you tap into, looks like the blinker. Can you clerify?
It would be the park lamp
