DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert or a financial advisor. I simply love talking about finances and want to share my journey to financial freedom and help others along the way!
I joined Talent Stacker at the end of last year after hearing your story. I’m currently working thru the trails and studying for my certification exam. I’m super nervous, overwhelmed, excited. All the feelings. Thank you for sharing all of this. It’s been so helpful. 💕
Yay that's awesome! It's definitely a roller coaster of emotions throughout the learning/transition, but worth it!
How you getting on?
I was just thinking of getting into SalesForce too, this is amazing information for me
Awesome! Let me know if I can help at all!
Friendly advise about pivot tables: it will be much more convenient to use them in your budget instead of putting all transactions into notes. One table with all transactions, and pivot table that aggregates by category.
Great video! I learned a lot about consulting and what it's like day to day!
Loved hearing this in depth review!
Woah definitely a career saga! Here for it though! 🍿👀
Great video and walkthrough of your experience! Super helpful for everyone to understand what types of work they can do in their first few months on the job. My favorite point is in your Pros section talking about how you've grown and what you've learned. Salesforce is learnable for anyone! (and sorry for your frustrating technical assessments with companies).
This is great Leila! I joined Talent Stacker and look forward to pivoting my career as well. Thanks for giving so much insight into your experience. It's so encouraging!
Great video. A well-rounded and frank look at the struggles, challenges and accomplishments of your first role. And great food for thought of what life is like working entry-level at a Salesforce consultancy.
Great update, and very motivational!
Philll! Thank you! 🙌🏻☺️
Thank you so much for this and I’m very much ready to change my career to this and you are giving a lot of motivation ❤❤
Great video Leila. I would be honored to have somebody as conscientious, articulate, and determined as you on my team at work!
❤️ thank you! I hope my team feels the same!
Thank you Leila, for providing an honest feedback! I really need to finish my admin certification so I can get started.
Best of luck to you!!
I completely understand. I’m currently transitioning to data analytics and I see people landing roles left and right. It is discouraging because I know I have the skills to land a role, but at times I have to remember to stay patient and focused.
have u gotten a job yet?
@@diana_loz5986 I just landed a data analytics role this past week and will be starting next month
Leila, do you have a video on how to create a bi-weekly budget?
How did you find your job?
Are you concerned about the massive layoffs in the tech industry? What would be your financial plan?
Not really! I have a lot in savings if I really needed it and I would just start applying to other jobs right away. I also have multiple sources of income so I would be ok for quite some time!
What helped you understand flow beyond experience?
Honestly nothing 😂😩
I would watch others build or they would tell me what to do, but they usually wouldn't explain in detail what was going on. I took a course on Flow but that was the same thing
😭😭😭 thanks for your honesty. I am feeling the same.
Did you feel not confident during the first week at your job? Were you thinking, "How am I going to do these with such little knowledge"? That's my fear lol I am self-learning from all kinds of sources and am decent at it but I feel like until I get a job, I just won't fully understand it and that makes me nervous!
Totally valid and normal! Honestly for some reason I didn't feel that way, I guess I just knew I needed to pay attention and learn and I would be ok.
It does depend on the company though! My company did a good job of onboarding and there are really smart people, so I was able to shadow and learn from them when I first started! You'll be able to do it!!
So are you a 1099 contractor or a W2 employee as a consultant?
W2
You are no longer a microbiologist?
Do your employers know about your channel?
Yes. I discussed it during my interviews actually
