I love the fact that you serve it on one plate because that's how you want it. You're not teaching us tradition, you're only teaching us how to cook and your cooking is second to none. Anyone that wants to add traditions style by separating the garri and soup can do so but not to judge how you enjoy eating or condem your style because we all have our own style. Thank you joyful cook for bringing another best menu on the table I appreciate all you do!! One love ❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰🥰
She is Igbo we don't eat like that, we separate them
@@munaike3622 did u read her comment well at all? She said the woman (The Joyful Cook) wasn’t teaching us tradition, rather she was teaching us how to cook which i believe she was right in what she said. So eat as it pleases u and stop judging others.
@@suesue773 Puting garri inside the soup is messy and not proper, presentation matters a lot in cooking
@@munaike3622 u have no right to decide for her on how she should eat. Choice differs. That's how she choses to eat. So eat as it pleases u.
My husband and I watched this video and his mouth started watering. He said, she know what she’s doing and asked me to watch it and try to make it for him. “I will make it and let you know how it comes out”! ( I am Nigerian by marriage, but I do very welll cooking Nigerian dishes, thank you so much for making these dishes, it helps me bring Nigerian cuisine to my kitchen at home!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Awww! You are welcome ❤️
I'm an African American. I've been wanting to try and cook something from Africa. That looks like a good dish to start.
Will u be able to get the core ingredients like locust beans?
Same, I’m African American, living in Canada and African food is big over here. I’m cooking this soup tonight
@@chefmichellaslifeplus8 good luck
As single African man, I need to learn how to cook good food for myself and my guest thanks a lot
I love west african cooking ( minus snails) the taste is absolutely wonderful.
I cooked this last weekend and I wasn't feeling it that day but 2-3 days after;OMG!!!!Wow!!The aroma noh be here!🥘
This looks so good! I remember years ago this Nigerian lady use to braid my hair and always offered a plate of her food . Growing up in a home where we were taught not to eat at everyone house but damn I would take a plate every time she offered 🤣 those dishes were the best.
Good morning Lord Jesus
Yes I remember that happened to me too while I was living in England in my younger days I had a friend called Charles im sorry I can't remember the surname but every Saturday when we went library we would travel home together has he lived near the school (Bolingbrook Primary) and couple times i would go over his house meet his mum and she was a fantastic cook Charles mum was the 1st person that introduced fufu and some great dishes to my taste bud up until know my mouth water when I think of his mum's cooking to this day
As Yoruba man married to Delta Igbo woman and who has eaten this thanks to my wife. I approve!!
What you used in grinding the crayfish and peoper is called "Asanka" from Ghana. I am proud of you. And I'm a Ghanian you are actually cooking my favourite soup from igbo land. Love naija cuisines.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yummy! 😋😋😋
You mean it's called Asanka in Ghana not from Ghana..Nigeria has it long before we took it to Ghana by the Ga/yoruba tribe.
@@suntanglory a liar it's found in the akan area of ghana
@@georgeasiedu4192 So a cooking clay pot is only found in Ghana now? The Ghana that Nigerian GA tribe founded? 🤣🤣🤣 Don't make me laugh in French. Kwara state in central Nigeria still makes them by hand till today.
Wow! This is super delicious. I'm a Nigerian (Yoruba) I just tried it tonight although I used only fish as my protein. The taste is super. 😍 I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the video. Hopefully when I get money I will follow your recipe completely.😋😍😋😘😘🥰

Good choice less meat is better for u, also use less sodium to help BP stay low.
The fact that you pounded the ingredients instead of blending it gives me joy and took me back to the past
Well done Sis

You won't typically get this in a Nigerian restaurant. Restaurants cook and sell standard popular or known soups like, Egusi, Okro, vegetable. This type of soup is unique and specific to some parts but not all of Nigeria.

What's achi? The powder looking ingredient she used. She never said what exactly what it is if your non igbo person.
@@boni9247 you can use either Achi/ofor as a soup thickener 😊
