Well , the people of romania didn´t want to send her because the jury voted for her over Laura Bretan. Ester was 8th most voted I think and Laura was 1st by the public in romania. So blame the jury in the national selection for this.

Exactly. Hear most of the songs on stage had NO RELATION when I hear their recordings. Especially Italian song has a very rhythmical base that is completely lost in live performance. The loss in sound makes the stage performance much more important than it should

Like everyone was amazed by Russian staging but Iceland one was equally good and the song was a million times better. They voted Ester just because they didn't want to vote for the other girl, Laura Bretan, cause she was homophobic and they're gay. In my opinion, Romania's song was one of the best in this Eurovision. Because it was original, sounded good and looked good aswell. Most of the countries like Albania and Serbia, made those opera styled songs. Standing, reaching high pitch, some other vocals.., and that's pretty much it. It wasn't like Azerbajian for ex: Cool, out of the order, original. Or Romania's song. But I guess Europe was just drunk tonight.

Eh, how didn't it make it? Not even Romanian televoters liked that song, it came just 8/12 in the national televote, but the broadcaster had a weird system where televote counted 15% and foreign bloggers 85% and the latter found out the 17 year old singer of the - by far - best song was a bit ..ehm... too Christian, and made sure there was an upset. So I don't think there was ever a chance for this, it already did badly in the local contest, most people don't find it particularly good.

Unbelievable. This performance is phenomenal! How she didn't get through to the finals I will never understand. An actual interesting song, really creative by Eurovision standards, gorgeous vocals a land beautiful staging and stage presence. Draga România te felicit! Un show extraordinar!!! Nu fiți triști fără aliați în concurs nu se poate câștiga. Tarilor europene le este frica de potențialul ascun al României, de aia va mănâncă de vii oriunde ați fi, de noi moldovenii săracii Europei ce sa mai spun.
P. S. Va felicit din suflet pentru melodie, prezenta scenica. Va îmbrățișez cu drag pe toți chiar dacă nu vreți :).

Totally agree! For the first time in a long time I was really excited by our entry and Laura has such a charming personality and very creative image that makes her so loveable. I only hope she will not let the haters take anything away from that and continue believing in her dreams. I will always be proud to say she represents Romania. 🇷🇴
