    This lady is good. I bet she's not even a real dentist, LOL, but she sure did a better job of explaining how to use the brush than the manual that came with the damned thing, which tells you to "brush your teeth with small back and forth motion", but also "do not scrub". How do you move ANY kind of brush back and forth against a surface without scrubbing? Is that even physically possible?

    I just bought a Sonicare electric toothbrush today. Uhm it’s a little to get use to I bought the Philips pink one. The noise that it makes trips me out, But all get use to it. It’s a great investment to make. Wish I had known any better when I was a teenager. I knew better I just didn’t listen. I have Cavity fillers so that’s what worries me that it might wear them off a lot faster. Will see how it goes. 😁

    I bought this particular brush because I just put braces on my lower teeth and it said I can use it on braces. My concern is I won't use all the features. I just used it for the first time and the vibration/tingling is new. She did say in the video that the brush remembers where you were in the brushing cycle if you need to spit so you don't cover your mirror with spittle. I lower my head into the sink to minimize the mess. I have been using the round Oral B and this Sonicare brush seems to be more effective so we will see. I will have to get up a few extra minutes for work for the extra cleaning. I think it just takes time to get used to it.

    The last time I saw a dentist regularly I was 17. The year was 2005. I finally saw the dentist again when I was 32 in the year 2020.
    I had used a Philips Sonicare toothbrush to brush my teeth once a day since 2006, there have been multiple versions of the brush since then, and I purchased the new model every 6 years or so. My current brush (the battery stick) is about five years old.
    When I finally went to the dentist again at 32, the dental assistant made a comment about how great my smile was. But my teeth have always been pretty white, even compared to other people in my family. I think I just have the genes for whiter teeth. And my teeth are also very faceted, if that's the correct term. They aren't smooth, the front face of my teeth are covered in a patchwork of geometric cuts. That faceted surface causes my teeth to reflect light in all different directions, so they actually appear like they're sparkling.
    Then she went on to tell me the bad stuff. Sure the front of my teeth looked fined, but my gums were caked with plaque. I had to sit through about eight hours of deep cleaning. And I also had six cavities, apparently. I never experienced discomfort or pain in my mouth at any time, but the dentist showed me pictures and assured me that filings were necessary.
    It's a good toothbrush I guess, if that's the worst thing I dealt with after 15 years between dental visits. I'm still using it. And even though the battery part is five years old, it still lasts about 30 days without charging (if anyone was wondering about taking it on vacation).
    Just remember I only brush once a day
    I should probably brush more.

    • @thinkblue8089
      @thinkblue8089 Před rokem +11

      It's a good toothbrush, but that doesn't mean you can skip the dentist for 15 years. Your condition is your own fault, not the brush's fault. You need to brush twice a day and floss once a day which I'm guessing you don't do. And you need 2 cleanings a year.
