    Thanks for the video!I'm looking at the 4300 vs the 6100.Are there differences in the "motor" "strengths" once you get into the 4000 and above models or is it just added features?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 7 měsíci +3

      No difference between the motor capabilities in the 4300 and 6300 ProtectiveClean models to my knowledge.
      Additional modes and features are what you get as you go up the range. 👍

    I am looking for an electric toothbrush for my wife who has sensory issues as she has a form of Autism. Could you recommend a toothbrush that is quiet and perhaps gives a good range of cleaning strengths for this use? Would you recommend the Philips 9900 Sonicare over the Oral-B IO range for this use case?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 2 lety +9

      Hi Sean.
      The Sonicare 9900 is quieter than the iO Series. How this impacts and triggers your wife's sensory issues is hard for me to say honestly.
      Both of these are premium brushes and you are likely paying for extras you won't need or want. You can certainly find more affordable alternatives, from both brands, as the video suggests.
      One of the quietest, good electric toothbrushes I have used is the Oclean X Pro Elite. It operates at around 45 decibels compared to the 60+ of the Sonicare and Oral-B. This article has some more info: www.electricteeth.com/uk/quietest-electric-toothbrush/
      The Oclean has the same cleaning technology as Sonicare. It is a bit harder to source and get replacement heads for. You will only be able to buy online.
      You might find trying a cheaper Sonicare to be a good starting point. They do have a money back guarantee: www.electricteeth.com/uk/sonicare-money-back/
      I hope this helps.

    About the USB cable, does it connect via USB on both edges (meaning to the charger side too) ?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před rokem

      It depends what USB cable you are referring to.
      The Prestige has a USB cable with USB Type C at one end and USB Type A at the other. This is to be used with the travel case. Thus this cable is detachable.
      The charging stand for the Prestige and other brushes with USB charging stands have a USB Type A connector at one end and are hardwired (not removable) into the charging stand.

    I’ve got a HX3240B and while I WANT new tooth brush, outside of some mild there’s nothing wrong with it.
    And I don’t need bells and whistles. So should I replace and if so which one

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 4 měsíci +1

      If the mold can't be cleaned off then you might want to replace it. I'd suggest looking at the 1100 Series if you want a budget option. If you want something a bit better, but still good value, take a look at the Sonicare 4100 Series.

  • @1alazydaisy

    Is there any model without a plastic head? I've an oral b and hate when it bumps my top teeth. Anything out there softer that's electric? I've got a small mouth.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 10 měsíci

      When you mean without a plastic head, do you mean coated in something soft like rubber or silicone? Heads are generally made from plastic as they are softer and durable for use in the mouth.
      There are a couple of mouthpiece style brushes (clean all the teeth at the same time) that use flexible silicone, but they do tend to be a mouthful, even if softer.

    Is the 4300 more powerful than the 4100? In the uk they’re both available and a similar price. Which is the cheapest most powerful Sonicare?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 3 měsíci

      Technically the 4300 (assuming 4300 ProtectiveClean) is more powerful than the 4100 Series. It is also the cheapest, most powerful Sonicare model.

    Does those electrical toothbrushes switch off every 30 seconds because I will never buy one if this is the case after I already bought one very expensive and I am too weak to switch it on every 30 seconds?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před rokem

      These brushes don't switch off after 30 seconds. They normally switch off after 2 minutes, when the cleaning cycle ends.
      There is a brief pause at 30 second intervals, this is the pacer to help encourage you to move from one section of the mouth to another.

    • @salihmahmud411
      @salihmahmud411 Před rokem

      Thank you for the quick reply but still I cannot buy it, if it switches off automatically in two minutes.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před rokem +1

      Well most sonic brushes do. Oral-B's brushes don't tend to.
      Based on what you have said, you have weak hands, so the automatic powering off is helpful?

    • @ElectricTeeth

    I think all sonicare toothbrushes just use a 90-day reminder to replace heads. I have an expensive sonicare and my toothbrush and the toothbrush of my wife both signal at 90 days. I believe they are lying on how the toothbrush replacement is calculated. Anyone check into this? The company just gives me their BS.
