  • Oral B vs. Sonicare: Which Is Better?
When it comes to choosing a toothbrush, you want one that's gentle on your gums and leaves your teeth feeling fresh. The Oral-B Pro 7500 is known for its superior cleaning abilities, while the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean is known for its comfortable feel.
The Oral-B Pro 7500 has been clinically proven to remove up to 100% more plaque than a manual brush in just one week with its unique CrossAction brush head. It also features 3D White technology that helps remove stains from teeth and brighten them in just two weeks of use. The Pro 7500 comes with a charging stand so you can keep it charged when not in use, and it's also compatible with most traditional toothpaste brands.
The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean has five modes that allow you to customize your brushing experience from gentle to intense. You can control speed and pressure with the press of a button on this rechargeable electric toothbrush, which can be used with any standard brand of toothpaste or mouthwash. The DiamondClean comes with a travel case so you can take it wherever you go!

Thanks! This confirmed what I thought. I have receding gums which started a long time ago due to excessive brushing and I also have sensitivity. I’ve been using a sonicare for years and happy with it and bought the oral b io 9 out of curiosity and it made my gums very sore and painful. I also think my teeth are too small for the io brush heads so it’s been difficult to keep the brush from not excessively touching my gums.

Both Oral-B and Sonicare are reputable brands that offer electric toothbrushes suitable for braces. The choice between them ultimately depends on personal preference, as both have their advantages.
Oral-B electric toothbrushes are known for their rotating and oscillating brush head movements, which are effective at removing plaque and debris from around braces. The small, round brush heads can easily reach tight spaces between brackets and wires, providing thorough cleaning. Some Oral-B models also come with specialized orthodontic brush heads designed specifically for braces.
Sonicare electric toothbrushes, on the other hand, utilize high-frequency sonic vibrations to clean the teeth. These vibrations create fluid motion that can effectively clean around braces. Sonicare brushes usually have a longer and slimmer brush head, which can be beneficial for accessing hard-to-reach areas. Additionally, Sonicare models often feature different brushing modes and intensity settings, allowing users to customize their brushing experience.
Ultimately, both Oral-B and Sonicare electric toothbrushes can effectively clean teeth with braces. It's recommended to try out different models or consult with your orthodontist or dentist to determine which one suits your specific needs and preferences.
