My dentist is also from India and I love her. She, in my opinion is almost pain free. Unfortunately I have gum disease and bone loss. I had to have bone graphs done and all upper teeth pulled. It’s been a nightmare. So now I’m a fanatic about taking care of what I have left. Wish I had taken better care of myself like I did my kids, who have beautifully white and straight teeth. I had them at the dentist all the time. They came first for their teeth and health.
Please don't be hard on yourself. You've already been through enough trauma. Give yourself a hug. We are only now learning this and I'm just shocked that our dentists don't really educate us to this nor do our primary care givers.
At my recent visit to my dentist I said, "I know I have horrible teeth." And she said, "I bet you were busy taking care of your kids' teeth and neglected yourself, right?"
And that is actually what happened. As a single mom I didn' t have insurance or the money. Fortunately my kids had dental through their dad's new wife. So they are fine and now as I get older I'm having a lot of issues even though I now have dental insurance (not very good)
My hygenist or dentist have never told me to use my toothbrush in a circular moment to clean and brush my teeth. 🦷🪥 So I've been over brushing, or scrubbing. You saved my gums from further damage. Thank you 💕

Hi Dr.Sehmi, i am a follower from Canada, hoping i can get this tooth brush here. I have a few questions for you, what is your option on oil pulling and tongue brushing and what do you thing the value of using a waterpik?
Please include the IO toothbrushes in your review. There are 3 electric options now, rotary, sonic, AND IO! -fellow dental professional
3 things 1 can you mew with dental implants and 2 if you lost a tooth and or lose all teeth very young can you get dental implants? Or would you need extra things such as gum graft or bone graft and can you get cow bone in your jaw?
So what is best for dealing with gum disease ?

So, which one do you suggest more? The sonic one or the rotating one from Oral B for gum recession. I have oral B and should I use a soft brush head? @drgurssehmi You mentioned that the rotary Oral B toothbrush caused you teeth sensitivity - the same thing happened to me! My teeth ended up super sensitive and I can see that the gum on one tooth receeded a tiny bit. Can this be reversed? Did you manage to reverse your sensitivity? I used the rotary brush for a year and switched back to manual now. I'll look into sonic brushes as well

Excellent video. i am now using soniccare in morning and oral B at night as well. i had soniccare and then tried Oral B. So why not use both at different times of day based on your approach. thank you. very helpful😊
That's exactly what I do. I bought a sonic care one but my hygienist told me Oral B is better, so I bought one of those too, so use them both 😊
Thank you for such an informative video. Despite using an oral B I have horrible gum disease and bone loss due to a medication induced dry mouth. I had extremely strong teeth albeit not the whitest and in my 55 years only had 1 extraction and 3 fillings. Now I have my 2 eye teeth and 9 on the bottom. I took good care of my mouth and was horrified when a few months after the dry mouth started I began to get abscesses and wobbly teeth till it progressed to where it is today.
I’ve stopped going out now as I can’t bear the dentures and since I already have severe depression this has only made things 10x worse. It’s mainly my antidepressants that have caused the dry mouth. I’ve gone through various antidepressants till I finally got one that suited but all have caused the same problem. As for artificial saliva 🤢🤢🤮🤮ohhhh the texture, it’s monstrous, I hate anything gloopy and slimy in my mouth. I’ll stick to my bottle of water 🚰

I suffer terribly with a dry mouth from meditation, I also have lost a couple of teeth due to this. I see my dentist every 3 months and she is really good at fighting the loosing battle 😢
Could you do a video on dry mouth and what to do. Unfortunately for me false saliva doesn’t work anymore. My dentist prescribes me toothpaste but I would be interested in your view.

Can you review the Sonic Brush V5?
From my experience, most most brushes in the same category (sonic, rotary or manual) are quite similar in effectiveness. They might differ in the gimmicky stuff you get with them.

I'm 36 and just had my front teeth pulled, I'm so depressed now. Wish my dentist had told me how to save my teeth years ago when the gum disease was first diagnosed rather than just say 'you need to brush better'
What was the cause of your gum disease and are you going to do now?
@@Brute4rce1111 when I was younger I didn't know how to brush my teeth properly and never flossed. I'm trying now to keep my mouth clean but I've lost so much bone I think I'll lose most of my teeth and I'll have to wear dentures
