Meat & Two Potatoes: Why Disrespecting the Fae is a Bad Idea.
Postiive Bit: How to Call a House Spirit into your house!
I live alongside, and work with, a house spirit. I've found it to be a very positive relationship, and would encourage this practice in any pagan/witch-based household. But knowing the difference between different fae and respecting them is vitally important....

This is hilarious 😂. My menopause surprise was a completely furry face 😮. The one you can no longer see even with your glasses on but your son points out to you at the dinner table 😂
Depressing, isn't it? I'm working on my beard as we speak....
Ha! The hair thing...YES! It disappears from some places and sprouts from the face...
Why did no one tell me?
Hi, just come upon your channel, and Wow!!! Finally found someone that believes that not all Fae beings, are pretty little garden Faeries.
I've had a couple of experiences, and no. Definitely not fluttery little girls. Bloody terrifying is much closer to it. I often read paranormal experiences and think, "that's not a demon you are describing, that's the Fae!".
I live with fairies. They’re not bad. My house is packed with them. Me and my neighbor play with them. I like em. 😂❤ I film them too! They are more likely to interact with people now adays. It’s a blessing to see them, I don’t take it lightly.
I would ADORE to see film of them! Can you share anything? That would be so amazing!
so glad to hear this! I also have a strong Welsh dna connection but live in California and I've always thought (how I don't know) that I was suppose to live with them - I talk to them and I have always thought I had a "cat ghost" that I've seen but rethinking that one! They are super handy when you can't find something and ask them to show you what you are looking for - boom there it is. I live out in the forest and love it when they wave plants at me
My daughter laughs at me, but when things go missing and I tell her to ask the Bwbach very nicely to return them.... they come back. I'm so jealous of living in the forest! I live in the middle of the city, and miss the green all around me sometimes. Honestly, it sounds like the Fair Folk might already be with you - maybe worth leaving out some milk and saying some words of welcome... And lastly: Croeso!
Take off your feet 😂 I was sewing listening to you so had to go back as I thought I had misheard then saw the disclaimer! 😂 crying.
Also yes I have a very good pair of tweezers now! ❤ loving your videos ❤
Brilliant! I listen to CZcams whilst sewing too.... I'm currently in love with a pattern for trousers from Tessuti patterns. I'm obsessed with making them in every linen I have in my stash....
@@GrumpyOldCronewould love to see what you make clothes wise! I make doll clothes not quite brave enough to attempt full size ones!! ❤
I have no idea why the algorithm recommended your video to me - I don't believe in any of this stuff, though I do find it charming (as long as it's not used to scam/profit off vulnerable or lonely people - as with most things).
I hope you continue to follow your bliss ❤
In a world full of rage posting, this is the politest and nicest, "thanks, no thanks" I've ever seen! Thankyou
I will start my comment by saying I have been through a few years of TRAUMA. Before, there were Little People in my house. A Native American man visited and told me they were in my house. They actually showed themselves in pictures. I didn't know about thanking them. Not sure if I did or not. But during my bad times, plants died, house got cluttered up.
Now, I'm trying to pull it back together. I want them to return.
Thank you for this video. Blessed Be...
I hop you are feeling much better! Welcome them back and hopefully they will help!
Oh No! We have to talk about menopause. I call it the f’ing forties cause the drop in estrogen causes crazy rage. You can’t sleep and your deodorant stops working. I had to use two different deodorants and my friend carried deodorant in her purse to re apply and we had to treat our clothes to get the odor out of our clothes. It’s a second puberty in a way. 😂
Absolutely right! We really need to make this a conversation that everyone has - I think that a sizeable portion of men don't understand the utter havoc it creates in a female body, and how difficult it is to cope with things.
You showed up because I got a security camera and discovered there are plenty of beings at night in our home. I also have Welsh DNA so maybe they are comfortable in my home. Now I have to name them. Offer a cupp’a tea.
Offer whatever it is that you drink or eat. The first bite, or the first sip is the most honourable offering. FWIW: it's not about lineage in my opinion - the Fair Folk are everywhere. Geography is no barrier. Use whatever phrase seems appropriate, but be very aware that Names Have Power.
I like this video, I've been wanting to work with the fairy for more then a decade but did very little. Now I think I have the energy, passion and direction to invite one over like you suggested!
That makes me really happy! I've never regretted my work with them at all.
@@GrumpyOldCrone oh yay awesome!! I love that they are available like that and an often positive force to have around.
Percolated my Witch's Brew noon 'Wake up" coffee! Love it! 🥰
I'm a tea drinker myself, but my husband is big into coffee!
@@GrumpyOldCrone ✨⭐️✨
I immediately subbed at "all fairies are bastards" 😅😆
Thankyou so much!
You’ve answered my question 🙋♀️
I'm glad! i will add that I tend to use a little ash from my old house when I move to my new house - I smear it onto the bottom of the Bwbach's house so he can find it more easily :-)
Hello from 2 old crones from A Cosmic Crone Conversation., Tina n Marie.. you popped up on our feed, so had a listen. Great stuff. LIKED N SUBBED.😊
Thankyou so much for coming by! Going to check you out as well - love a good bit of cronage!
if you move to a different house you can take your house spirit with you? Perhaps we’ll just ask him to come along? What do you think? 🤔
Absolutely, you can take them with you! Ask them to come along and take something that will help them to recognise their home. Personally, I take ashes from one house to another, and smear them on the little idol I use as a Bwbach home.
@@GrumpyOldCrone excellent! Thank you 😊
I'm an East Anglian girl too. I did live in other places in the UK, but I moved back 8yrs ago and here is where I shall stay :).
Oh and I definitely believe in the Fey.
I'm in Lincolnshire now, and have been for two and a half decades. I have a very strong connection to the land here now, but sometimes I really miss the Essex coast. Happily, I still have family in my home town, so go back to the coast to see them and stock up on East Anglian sea air! (There's no place like it
@@GrumpyOldCrone I was born in Ipswich moved to Colchester at nine and hated it. Moved to various parts of the UK including southcoast, west country and Shropshire. But am now happily settled in Lowestoft :).
Hi, could you give me your view about something i'm experiencing right now please?, i'm always very appreciative of the rain and water elements, i showed gratittude for the rain some days ago, and now some kind of water spirit seems to be making noises in my rooftop and walls, it just taps, i have done divination and it says it isn't malevolent, so i showed the spirit some hospitality and offered milk. Could some problem arise out of this?
First up, I'd check that the gratitude you showed hasn't lead to the water trying to get inside to say hello! Household maintenance often seems to go hand in hand with working with the Fae, in my experience - just check that something mischevious hasn't decided that a leak is *exactly* what you need right now. Failing that, I'd say milk and hospitality is exactly the way to go. Sound can be a great offering too - maybe play some shimmering music back when the tapping occurs?
I got one that plays with my hair 😂 at 3am sometimes. I leave em stuffies snd shiny stuff. I also get into a shoving contest with one in the corner of my room. They like me and my neighbor. I bring people over to play with them. I want to start drawing them one of these days. ❤😂 Il trying not to be a fan girl. They have thier own lives and jobs so I try to have good boundaries and do my own thing
delightful! wow! Think I must make a plan to invite a Buba into my home. I know that there is a pixie (not elf) in my garden, as I met him one night when I meditated. I do offer the pixies in my garden food etc (ok, birds eat it later) and I have always left a section of my garden untouched - so they can live there. There are a few 'houses' in my garden. Though pixie was almost waist height - I have smaller houses which I like to believe becomes bigger when they step in
Love it! You're doing everything absolutely right - should you want a Bwbach/Domovoi/Tomte/Nisse/Brownie etc. it sounds like you should have no problems inviting one in. As the fae of all sorts are creatures of spirit, the size of a house doesn't matter. The implicit invitation involved in having them in your garden is *everything*. Your garden sounds magical
@@GrumpyOldCrone Thanks, I did not invite them, they just arrived. And people that have visited my garden have said that there is a fae energy in my garden. Things in my life just happen somehow
I've read a lot about faeries. Watch out for the fangs is all I'll say.
I'm now thinking of that scene from "Labyrinth" with Sarah and the tiny flying fairy.
"OW! It bit me!"
"Well, what did you expect it to do?"
"I thought it would do nice things, like granting wishes..."
"Humph. Show's what you know, don't it?"
@@GrumpyOldCrone Ha ha! So true!
I love your video style. It is like we're sitting around a coffee table having a chat. And Thank you for pointing out that the fae aren't "pretty" humanoids with wings, like fiction and media would have us believe. I personally have the opinion most spirits are neither good nor evil. They just are, sometimes they choose to help, sometimes hinder. Depends on their mood and whether they like you are an individual or not.
I have a question, I've struggled with this for years. What is the proper way to dispose of a used offering? I typically give 12-24hrs, and either pour the liquid outside, and if it is food, I toss it in the trash as the energy has been drained from it. Is that okay?
Thankyou! The informal chatty style is definitely what I'm aiming for, so I'm really happy I've managed it... I absolutely agree with you that the concepts of "good" and "evil" are human constructs. The Fae have their own reasons and motivations. I tend to pour spent liquid offerings into plants, and throw anything like bread out to the birds. Anything icky goes into the bin after 24 hours. I think your way is perfect!
They are beautiful Beings in thier own way. They can make em selves like scarey or beautiful I’ve seen many types
I see a lot of beautiful winged ones and ones that look very earthy and insect like. I think they’re cool 😎
I would love to know how you invited him in?
Glad you found the answer!
Hedgehogs are like that 🙂
.
They get in the house if they want ........(steal money lol - honest)...........
.
. but they wait for the moment you slip into subconscious ????........... And they move that second :-)
I once found a hedgehog sat in the middle of my cat's food bowl, stuffing itself silly. It snuck in whilst we were having a BBQ with the door open. It had eaten so much it couldn't run away :-D. I had to pick it up and move it outside to a bush, but couldn't believe how really prickly it was. I'd thought it would be like a hairbrush kind of prickly, but was actually like a handful of sewing needles..... Still, love a good hedgehog! Tragically my garden now has walls around it, so no more hedgepigs for us!
Also. I think I’m seeing flashes of a Baba Yaga tattoo. Can you please show it in full next video please 🙏
Well spotted! I absolutely WILL do a witches' tattoos video - thanks for the suggestion. It's totally Baba Yaga - she was my gift to myself a couple of years back.
Red Clover Tea. Steep for 30mins with a organic cinnamon stick & honey. Drink daily. ☕🫖
Helps the menopause.
Oh, that sounds amazingly tasty as well.... Anything including cinnamon and honey is good in my book. I don't have much red clover around me, but as I'm planning on pulling out all the horrid gravel in my backyard and seeding a lawn, this sounds like an excellent thing to include!
Crone Energy?
I'm big on channelling my crone energy. Middle-aged, grumpy, seen a lot of sh*t and learned from most of it!
🌍🪶🔥🌊❤️
I needed to put on my reading glasses and get really close to the screen to see the emojis.... I'm definitely aging! Lovely set of emojis
Oh I would never invite anything into my home.
I've had a Bwbach with me for decades now, and wouldn't want to be without him. But you need to be careful to understand what you invite and what is already there, for sure! Both my husband and I are animists, so live with the spirits around us all the time
@@GrumpyOldCrone Thanks for understanding my concerns I appreciate it! I’m glad it works for you. I hope you would consider more videos about the Fae. It’s very interesting.
Not a fairy believer at all (colour everyone surprised!) but twee fairies in particular can eff all the way off.
Particularly ones in nylon tutus. Bleurgh.
I work with three ladies and everyone talks so freely but then I'm not considered as a male, the photos of the fairies may not be real but fairies definitely are real
Hurrah for free conversation, and learning on your behalf. The more people understand the havoc that hormones can play in people's bodies, the better.
I'm totally with you on the "the photos aren't real, but the fae definitely are" thing. Although I was always fascinated by the fact that Frances insisted they were all fake, except *one*. And that they'd faked them because they couldn't get the camera to replicate what they saw in real life.
Then stop going to those particular bars!
Plan!
